It was cash only as I remember it (fight the power, Marty) and Marty is the only one who works here. He's got a faithful crew of customers, and it feels more authentic to shop here than the place in the Tontine Mall, although that's a decent shop too. It was real nice to have both options and not have to truck down to Portland for me music gear during my 4 years as a Polar Bear. Definitely the kind of place where it's hit or miss depending on what he's got in for used and new guitars....always a few drum kits and plenty of cymbal stands/hardware on hand. So it cracked! Buckdancer's were able to fix the crack (it happened two years in a row) beautifully and did not charge me an arm and a leg to do so - reasonable price! Once the customer and his son was done inquiring about the drum set for sale, he turned his attention my way. I was interested in him restringing my guitars at home for my children for Christmas. I set up a time to drop them off and he assured me that he would have them done in a few days after drop-off. Tom also told me about the in-house lessons that he offers. I had a blast looking at all of the instruments on sale and talking to Tom about the local music scene! The prices are reasonable. Nice Shop with Great Customer Service!

My son and I were passing this store the other day and he was excited to go and see the…read moreinstruments. My son is four and extremely well mannered. We looked at all of the instruments and not once did he touch any of them. He knows to look only with his eyes, not his hands, until we ask permission first. A sales woman approached us and asked if she could help us. I thanked her and told her that we were just browsing. My son found a keyboard that he wanted to try, just to hear what it sounded like. I asked the same sales woman if it would be alright if I turned the keyboard on so that my son could hear a couple of keys. The sales woman simply looked at me and said that playing the instruments were reserved for those that were buying, not simply looking. I simply took my sons hand and walked out of the store, and I will never return again. Upon posting this to my facebook page, I saw that many of my friends have had less then stellar customer service at this establishment, and I will now take my business to The Music Center in the Tontine Mall in Brunswick. The owner of The Music Center was more then willing to let my son try out the instruments, engaged with him, and we wound up walking out with his very first instrument. Beware, Music & Moore is not child friendly, and as my son said it best, the sales woman was just plain rude.

We saw an Open the Door for Three last night and the band was wonderful! The seating was tough if…read moreyou weren't in the Care center or front rows especially since the musicians were seated. I had to crank my head to the right to see much and I never could see the guitar player well. My view was pretty well blocked of the fiddle player too, so that was frustrating and uncomfortable. For the price of the tickets I would expect better. Maybe you can angle the seats on the side?
