I have been coming to this salon for 1 1/2 years now. Prior to coming here, I saw a private nail tech for yearsss. I was always very skeptical of nail salons rather than a private nail tech. But I took a chance and never looked back. I see Tina each time and do not allow any other tech to do my nails. Every nail salon is going to have techs you may not prefer. My bestfriend goes here as well and prefers a totally different tech. Figure out who works best for you and stick with it. I find many people are dissatisfied with their service because they go to whatever tech is available and that tech doesn't know what they like. I love Tina as I've been seeing her for a year and she always gets me in and out quickly but doesn't rush either& it always looks perfect. I don't have to even tell her what I want anymore- she just knows. Also, I know everyone has said they are late to appointments. Every single nail salon is like this. Not saying it should be this way but they are family owned and sometimes they run behind. Be patient and don't book appointments for time where you have no leeway to wait a little. I visited family nail spa on April 7, 2023. I went in for a gel pedicure and acrylic full set. The staff was friendly when I arrived. The pedicure was fine ($40) - I just did a simple white gel color. For my full set, I told my nail tech I wanted a coffin shape, but not too skinny. She said ok, and it looked ok from my angle until the acrylic set and I realized they were more on the square side. I didn't want to keep going on about the shape, so I just said fine, whatever - square isn't horrible and left the shape as is. The design I chose was straight from their Instagram page. When it was time for the design, my nail tech attempted at the design, but it wasn't really what I wanted so she said she would get the nail tech who actually did the design to work on it. I think the picture speaks for itself (left - their IG picture, right - what I got). I said I wanted more of the orangey color, but he kept adding more pink/purple. I didn't want to keep making suggestions/requests because I could tell they were getting annoyed with me, so I just let them finish the job because I had to leave. I felt like they might've thought I was being difficult about the shape and colors I wanted, but if you're paying $70 for a service, you want them to come out the way you envisioned. Needless to say, I won't be returning. It was a disappointing experience My pedicure was good, and my nail tech was friendly (until I said I wanted the other nail tech to try the design - then she kind of just went cold on me), but besides that... it was not a good experience for me. 2 stars because the pedicure was fine, but I feel like they weren't listening to me and losing patience with me even though I was paying for a service. read more

If you want your nails done right, I recommend coming here. My nail tech spent her time making sure the shape and length of my nails were perfect. With longer nails or coffin nails it's hard finding someone who can make them shaped evenly and some right. The salon is super clean and well organized, they have an amazing assortment of colors with all of the latest trends- (chrome, glitter, and marbled polishes) I came here because I really needed a new set and my other salon was closed because of the weather- but family nail and spa will definitely be my regular spot. This place is clean and I always leave with what I wanted or even better! My gel nails last me about 3/4 weeks and my pedicure last about the same. I always upgrade the pedicure to the deluxe pedicure and it's so worth the 40. I love my me time it's always relaxing I have been going to them for 2 years now and I always feel like family they all always welcome me! Henry is always accommodating with appointments and I LOVE that he calls me to remind me of my appointments and I love that he will call me to make sure I'm still on my way so he doesn't take anyone if I'm running a few minutes to my appointments. Here's an update on my review from last year. I was slightly pleased with their service the first time I came here. I had a lady do my ombré nails full set. It looked really nice, but the acrylic was too thick. They have an IG page and I liked Henry's work. I requested him to do my nails for my second visit and I really liked it. I've been going here for like the 7th time and I really like this place! I make my appt with Henry every time and he's always available waiting for me to arrive. I recommend this place! I went here for years... the last time I went I had two nails pop off like nothing.. pedicure done poorly not even all my polish taken off before repainting them and not even the entire nail being covered. Then to top it off a fungus on my nail as well... my family friend got a pedicure here and now has a fungus on her toenail causing it to fall off... I thought because of covid sanitization was supposed to be up... but the fungus I got was caused by unclean tools... so disappointed. I booked an appointment trying to give them another chance since I had been a loyal customer for years booked and confirmed a week before and the night before the appointment I get a text that my appointment was given away and I'd have to come another time. I visited this salon on a trip out of town to visit relatives. I wasn't totally thrilled with my nails as it looks like one hand is longer than the other, and the shaping was a little off. However, I was not happy with the person who did my manicure. They noticed that I had done my manicure at home prior, and was making comments about how "it was better when he did it" and "look how much better it looks than when you did it." I had mentioned to them that it was difficult to get to the nail salon on a regular basis as a SAHM (both time wise and financially) and his response was for me to do a better job of getting to the salon. I won't be going back here next time I am in town on account of my experience with this nail tech. This is the absolute worst place of business. I came into this salon because my mother wanted to go, I had come to this salon before and never had any issues but today was so much different. My mother was trying to enjoy her pedicure while her nail tech was doing nothing but trying to upsell every 5 minutes. How is one supposed to relax when the nail tech won't shut up and take no thank you as their answer? Also the nail tech did not seem to like the fact that my mom prefers regular nail polish instead of gel. This is a preference and it is no big deal. Now as for me, I asked my nail tech to give me the coffin shape. I had gotten this plenty of times in the past with no charge. Once my mom got her manicure, she asked for the same shape and her nail tech told her it will be $5 extra. I don't mind paying $5 extra but my issue is why didn't my nail tech tell me about this upcharge? Oh his response was "you should already know." Now I wonder how I should already know when they have absolutely no signs stating that upcharge and that I had NEVER gotten that upcharge for a damn shape of a nail ever not there and not at any other salon. This of course made our nail techs frustrated so they proceeded to be rough with us and swing our hands around like it was nothing. My mothers nail tech was also making faces with her co-worked about my mother. After this, my mother spoke with the "MANAGER" who did not attend to her needs and did not listen to her. Instead, he let her nail tech argue her position which is absolutely unprofessional and he proceeded to say "we are a high end nail salon who does gel color" okay so if that is the case, why do you have REGULAR NAIL POLISH AND PRICES FOR REGULAR NAIL POLISH??? this place is terrible and this is the first review I have ever posted anywhere because I have never had such shitty service. I will add pictures of my shitty manicure as well. Oh and by the way. Not one person in this place of business apologies for anyone's behavior. And we weren't expecting a coupon or money off in any way, all we were expecting was RESPECT and couldn't even receive that. read more

Family run so that means the person doing your nails or pedicure will also be greeting people walking in the door and walking away from you to answer the telephone. If you are looking for undivided attention this is not the place for you. I made an appointment on a Tuesday morning for a full set and a pedicure, The woman suggested I do the new dip powder of course because it was much more expensive. I opted for an ombré affect and she was not able to achieve it due to lack of experience with the product. I noticed bumpy spots on the sides of my nails where the color didn't quite fill in. I pointed this out to her and she insisted she already went over that spot instead of just correcting it needless to say my nail was left that way. During my manicure several customers walked in so she stopped to greet them taking her attention away from me. At that point my manicure was rushed and I still hadn't had my pedicure. For my pedicure she did use a plastic liner in the tub which is nice for sanitary reasons but the pedicure last about 15 minutes. I paid $35 for a 15 min pedicure and $55 for 45 min manicure - that's = $60/hour. For this amount I would expect close to perfection wouldn't you? read more

I have gone to this salon about 7 -8 times now. I went in for mani/pedi & maybe eye brows. I arrived 10 minutes early to pick colors. I always make an appointment to avoid sitting & waiting. Each time I end up waiting 20 minutes past my appt schedule to start my appt. They open at 9:30, I arrived 10:18. I had a 10:30 appt. which was the time they set. I could see they are all busy. I was brought to the basin a few minutes past 10:30 & I explained I need to be out by noon she said not to worry. I spent 15 minutes soaking for pedi. I asked twice how much longer? Each time told he is almost done a few more minutes. Yes that brings me up to minimum 20 min past my appt. I am certain someone added on a pedi after their nails were done. They over booked & take walk ins which delays the steady customer who makes appointments. I have no problems waiting a few minutes, its expected but not a minimum of 20 minutes. That is not only unprofessional it is rude. No way was I going to get a pedi/ mani & brows done in 1 hour & 10 min unless they give me a rushed & sloppy job that I pay good money for. They need to schedule much better. It is a repeated problem there. They lost this customer. There are many salons to pick from & closer to me. Very dissatisfied. read more
