Tried on a whim and I sorry to say that based on my first experience I won't be back. I asked for a very simple manicure with clear polish that wasn't even done well. Even something so simple! It had little bubbles in the polish, my nails have sharp parts, and it seems that there weren't 2 coats applied because it quickly became matte in several spots. The worst part is the attitude I experienced. Not sure if it was meant to be directed at me but my nail tech didn't seem to want me there at all. At the end she even asked "do you want a massage or no?" when my nails were drying and it seemed like she just wanted me to say "no". I said yes please and she promptly put a 2 min timer in front of my face and gave a weak lackluster massage that said without saying "I'm done here". It seemed that a lot of regulars came in, and perhaps other technicians are friendlier and more detailed oriented, but unfortunately that was not my experience. read more

Update review: I still enjoy coming here. The owner remembered me from previous visits which was a pleasant surprise. I got a gel pedicure this time. I wanted to enjoy the massage chair in addition to the soothing effects of the hot water and foot pampering. My nail technician consulted and recommended a pink color for my toes. She was nice and easy to communicate with. My one suggestion is that they invest in a simple website with their pricing menu. You can definitely call and try to figure out what services you want. The best place to get your nails done that I recommend to all my friends! I've been going here for years and I would never go anywhere else. I get dip and am so happy every time I leave because of how good it looks. The staff is friendly, personable and take real pride in their work. There is a wide variety of colors to choose for dip, gel and regular nail polish. It is extremely clean in the salon. I've been coming to New Paris for a little over a year now. I typically go to Yoon for my dip powder nails, but I have had other nail techs as well and they're all very friendly and careful. They're constantly checking in to see if you're okay, if you're content with the shape of your nails or the colors of your nail. They keep their salon very clean and everyone is extremely friendly. Please note that they typically operate by appointment only (this is great because you don't feel rushed). They also have a membership program where you earn reward dollars. Went for my first post-covid mani-pedi while visiting family in CT and could not be happier with our nails! I got a standard pedicure and powder dip ombré manicure. My mom got the callous special pedicure (looked like she had a new foot after) and a regular manicure. I live 2 minutes from a different nail salon, but before my recent vacation when I wanted a pedicure and I wanted it done right, I came here and took the extra 10-15 minute drive! Everyone here is always so friendly and polite, and my polish always looks perfect when I'm done. There's a great color selection and the establishment is well lit, clean and has a good amount of seats so that more than a couple of customers can be seen at a time. I called at almost 6:30 one evening to see if I could still get a pedicure since they close at 7, and they said if I could be there in 10 minutes they'd still take me. I got an amazing leg/foot massage before my toes were painted then a little shoulder/back rub when I first sat under the dryer. I was very sweetly and politely asked to remove a picture I posted on Yelp, as an employee was in the picture and didn't want to be, and that was totally understandable so I promptly removed it. I was thanked profusely and have always had great experiences here! The last time I went in the foot rub was so amazing I almost asked for the young man's schedule that I was working with so I could continue to go to him! I always feel comfortable here, the chairs are great and massage you while you're getting your pedicure, and everyone is as friendly as can be. I ended up leaving after 7:15 and was asked if I minded if they could start vacuuming even though it would be a little loud. Of course I didn't mind! I was so grateful they took me even though they knew I wouldn't be done before closing time that I was happy for them to start getting ready to close up and get out of there for the day! I'll definitely be back, and would recommend them over the other few places I've been to within a 20 mile radius of here. I can't say enough great things about my experiences here, in case you haven't noticed!
