I have gone to see Dr Pogo for over 30 years at this practice. I loved it. Then he left. I hated that. I got Dr Reber Hershburger. I didn't care for her. She married Jeffrey Hershburger. Now they are both gone. For crying out loud, does that door ever stop swinging? Now I am seeing Dr Murphy. My husband was seeing her. Now he retired and switched insurances to AmBetter and not 1 Dr in that office accepts that insurance. Now he has to find another Dr. This is getting to be something else. read more

I've been seen by many of the doctors who work here, and they're all good physicians who listen, and make sure you get the care you need. I know there's been a few hiccups with scheduling appointments, but they worked it out, and thankfully I was able to be seen still.. read more

Do not waste your time with this practice who cares more about money than patients. I left and found a new General Practitioner that cares. Originally Patient of Dr. Lutzke, was transferred to Dr. Simon when Lutzke left. I liked Dr Simon as my General Physician. Recently had a Cardiac Event and tried to see Dr Simon. Was told he was out of the office for the week and was scheduled to see Nurse Practitioner Jeff Hershberger. Appointment went fine. He had a specific nurse take my blood pressure and requested I return in 10 days to have my blood pressure taken by the exact same nurse. Scheduled said appointment to come in for the same nurse to take blood pressure. Went to appointment 10 days later, nurse wasn't there, was told to come back the next morning. Came back next morning, nurse took my blood pressure, in and out in under 5 mins. Received bill for copay for having nurse take my BP. Talk to Insurance, Physician Parent Company, and actual office. Came down to NP Hershberger's decision to charge me for a 3 minute blood pressure check. No one said I would be charged. It was made to sound like I would not be charged for this service, that it was an extension of my prior appointment. All this said, what's even worse when I called and tried to discuss this with the office manager Lisa Venture, she said she would talk to NP Hershberger and call me back the next day. Two days later and two attempts to call, she finally spoke with me and told me it was my insurance insisting on the copay even though she said it was Hershberger's choice to drop the charge. After asking Ms. Venture to stop blaming my insurance company (whom I spoke with and Anthem said it was the physicians choice to make the charge) for the invoiced copay, she hung up on me. The saddest part is because of Hershberger's decision, Simon has lost a patient and I doubt he's aware of it. You're better off putting your health in someone else's hands. read more

Dr Terry Simons is a great doctor, who really cares. About his patients. A truly wonderful guy

Unfortunately I am sick and had to go see the doctor today. Fortunately I have an amazing doctor at Family Practice Associates, Dr. Pogorelic. Even though the wait is longer than I would usually care for, I am always greeted with a smile and a handshake from my doctor. I can go in with one issue and leave having discussed multiple topics. Dr. Pogo is a wealth of information. He is always happy to share the knowledge or to give me tips to help me become healthier (because I ask him to). Even though my husband is reluctant to go to any doctor, he always comes out feeling better, saying he got a shot, and... (telling me about something that I didn't know or just didn't want to remember). Secretly I think he actually enjoys the visits too. The staff is always friendly and seem to recognize me when I go in. And I have never been disappointed when I can't get in to see Dr. Pogo. Dr. Lutzke is kind and very helpful. And Dr. Simon is almost as good as Dr. Pogo. When I last saw him, he brought up another area of concern that I hadn't thought about. What a team! Needless to say I recommend this practice to anyone who asks, and they too have gone and became patients there. I think it says something that the doctors at this practice frequently have newer doctors shadowing them and learning from their patient care techniques. Great care and great doctors! read more

The Dr ( Excellent Physician) I've been seeing for years had an office in Akron then moved to this office full time. Unfortunately because the front desk staff is so freaking rude it's ridiculous! The medical assistant is awesome. It's just the ladies at the front. It really reflects horribly on the office. I went in for an appointment and was told over a week ago to call from the car. So being that life gets hectic I forgot and walked into the office. Kelsey then said "weren't you rold to stay in the car"? Ok I understand, I forgot but there's a way to speak to people. Just rude and nasty. If I didn't love my physician much I would look for another Dr. The 2 stars are solely based on the front desk individuals. read more

Dr. Simon has been my doctor for 34 years. I was born the same year that the practice opened. My parents, children, siblings and spouse are all patients as well. You will not find a more compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled physician. Dr. Simon takes the time to be thorough and I've never left the office feeling dissatisfied. I've experienced slightly longer wait times than typical offices however the wait is worth the care. My husband has always been amazed at how empathetic and caring the doctors are. The office is beautifully decorated, very clean and they offer on site lab work, acupuncture and weight loss assistance. The nurses are friendly and compassionate. My only concern will be the day, far into the future I hope, that Dr. Simon retires. read more

I have never been so displeased with a doctors office. I have been there a handful of times and will not be going back. Every single time I go, I am there for at least 45 min-1 hour. Sometimes it's that long before I am even seen. The people at the front desk are so unprofessional, they were talking about my results quite loudly with the check-in window wide open. I had gone in to get a second injection for my school requirements and the nurse that helped me was the worst I've ever seen. As she was giving me the injection, she put the needle up against my arm first and then pushed instead of a quick motion to make it painless. Then she pulled the needle out of my arm before pushing the rest of the vaccine into my arm, so all the fluid from the shot was running down my arm. She did not wipe it or even say anything, she just put a bandaid on top. So, I had to wipe it off with my bare hand. I am so frustrated & outright shocked by this place & would NOT recommend going here. read more

These doctors are all wonderful. I normally see Dr. Pogorelic (Pogo), but when I am ill and need immediate attention whoever is available will see me. Dr. Pogo always makes time to listen to all my concerns and suggests solutions which does not mean just handing me a Rx for more pills. It is sometimes necessary to wait a little longer than some might like, but this is because they give all their patients outstanding care. They always try to solve the problem before sending you off to very expensive specialists, and they attempt to find Rx solutions that are the least expensive. This is great for a retiree on a limited income. read more

Now there is no arguing they have a good staff- they're polite and for the most part, organized. The reason I give one star is because of negligence. My stepfather had felt ill, body aches, back pains, run down fatigued feeling, and went to them MULTIPLE times. Every time he would come back being told "tendonitis," and they'd give him some medication until the next time. This went on for upwards to 6-8 months... until he looked so sick I convinced my mother to bring him to the ER. They went the next morning and found out he had multiple myeloma (cancer of the plasma cells). Just an A simple blood test or X ray would have told them he had cancer, but they never took any tests. FYI, when this occurred our family had been visiting this doctor's office for years, myself at the time, about 2 years. Next moment of doubt comes from when I visited for a "woman issue" (I assumed it was a bartholin cyst, after countless googling/wedmd diagnosing myself) and was told it was a "lymph node in my vagina." After following all of the doctors orders (she isn't a main doctor of the practice, I believe she is a "practitioner"? No other doctors were available and I needed to see a doctor ASAP), and even receiving a phone call from the doctor, she still was convinced it was just a swollen lymph node and to not worry about it unless I was in pain or it got bigger. Well, the next morning I woke up in IMMENSE pain. I couldn't barely walk, sit without pain, or move without feeling it. I immediately knew I had to go to the ER, and about an hour after I had arrived, I was being told I had an extremely infected BARTHOLIN'S CYST and I had to be rushed to get it drained, AWAKE, with a little novicane shot and a oxycotin. After having to be one pain pills for a straight week, having to call off of work for a week, and feel the worst pain of my life, I will never, ever go here again. I researched a little after the fact, and found out bartholin's cysts can drain naturally with epson salt baths and heat, and if I would of been diagnosed correctly, I could have prevented an ER trip that cost money, time, pain, and a scar that will never heal. So, no thank you. read more
