Why would it get billed twice for the same visit. When my visit was concluded, the front desk said I did not owe anything. Mind you my Humana insurance has alway covered my visits. I am sick and tired of dentist…read morewho accept my Delta Dental PPO Premium Plus insurance, tell me I owe $$$ amount in the office, in this case $29.60 that I paid before leaving, and then the invoice comes in that I still owe more. This ain't my first rodeo and this time it's another $62.20. That's a total of $91.80 out of pocket for a couple drops of cement plus the $50.20 the insurance paid. I could have purchased "dental crown cement" on Amazon and done it myself for under $20. They took an x-ray for a charge of $39, why? It was as obvious as the nose on my face what was needed. Did you need an x-ray to see my nose? Then the charge of $99 for the "oral exam" to look inside my mouth and see the crown I brought in was missing? Perhaps that was for the probe the dentist poked into my tooth 3 or 4 times to see if it was still there and "not decayed"? Guess what, it was still there and not decayed! Last, and most costly, was the $148 charge for those 3-4 drops of cement. SERIOUSLY???? and then the invoice has the gall to state "Writeoff: $144.00" to zero out the original total charge of $286.00. Really, $286 bucks for 15 minutes in the chair, a needless x-ray, 30 seconds to probe the tooth "for decay" and a few drops of cement? NO, I do not recommend Twin Rivers, unless you like feeling misled and ripped off and enjoy paying unexpected additional invoices! I did give them a 1 of 5 rating rather than a zero, simply because the were able to schedule me in that day. But the additional, unexpected expense negated any other possitive in the experience.

My husband was told September of last year he needed his wisdom teeth out and then two deep cleanings following. After running our insurance, we had a copay for the wisdom teeth removal and then a copay for the deep cleanings. It would be an around 250$ per side. My husband got his removal in October and then his deep cleanings in November and December. When they told us the copays, we budgeted and payed them within a month of each cleaning. We got a bill in January or February for a 500$ outstanding balance. I called all seasons dental and they said my insurance rejected their claim and wasn't covering due to out of max benefits. I called my insurance, and after some further questions and calling all seasons dental back, they ran our benefits before my husbands surgery and then didn't run again before the cleaning. If they would have, they would have seen that we were out of benefits and we could have scheduled my husbands deep cleanings for January and February when our benefits restarted. All seasons dental billing department spoke with their supervisor and their resolution to the issue is to take 100$ off and we will have a 400$ bill to pay due to something as simple as checking benefits the month or week before a service is done. Like I said, the staff there that work on your teeth are great. However due to this error, we have a distrust that we will get surprise bills in the future. In this economy 400$ is no small bill and was a break in trust with a dental provider we enjoyed and raved about to our friends. If you choose to go to all seasons dental, make sure you keep track of your own benefits or you ask them specifically to run it the week before your service. We will be paying our bill but not returning for any future services.
