As cliché as it sounds, I can honestly say that working with Lindsay changed my life. Who am I…read morekidding? With the tools and insight she provided over our 18 months working together, she's continuing to change my life. I sought out counseling services when life felt unbearably bleak, difficult, and dark. I came in, grasping for control and hoping for a quick fix, which in hindsight is utterly laughable. I think if I knew how much baggage I needed to unpack and how much "inside" work it would take, I never would have begun the process, but with Lindsay's gentle and steadfast guidance, I was slowly but surely able to pull myself out of the weeds. With her help (and a lot of healthy work), I've found my voice and have begun to thrive in a visceral, sustainable and powerful manner- what a gift she has given me! Lindsay is thorough, receptive, non-judgmental, open to talking about therapy within therapy (so meta, I know), insightful, funny, wise, kind, gentle yet straightforward, and very easy to talk to. She questioned and helped me dig when I needed to be pushed and gave me space when she recognized that I needed to come to my own conclusions. The way she approaches counseling is thoughtful and intentional, but never calculated, which is invaluable. Overall, all I can say is this: Lindsay led me through a very challenging period of my life and for that I will forever be grateful. I've been through my fair share of counseling in the past with poor results- I'm so thankful for this positive experience to fall back on as needed. My wife, a generally straight woman fell in love with me as a person but needed some help understanding and incorporating sex into our relationship. Something she has done very well and is now proudly and functionally bisexual. To maintain a clear line of communication, seeing marriage/sex counselor has been paramount to our marriage success. The entire staff at this place has been professional, supportive and easy to work with. Scheduling is easy and the office environment is very relaxing. I highly recommend these professionals. They have been very open and nonjudgmental about our same sex marriage. We both feel very comfortable there.

Unfortunately, our experience since then has been extremely disappointing. She saw my son individually for two sessions and met with us as parents once before we had a family session after another issue arose. During that family session, she did not address the situation at hand, focused on irrelevant topics, and was dismissive when we tried to redirect the conversation--even after inviting us to 'correct her if she was wrong.' The way she spoke to us came across as rude and disrespectful, which only made our family's communication worse instead of better. To make matters worse, the session lasted only half the scheduled time, yet I expect we'll be charged the full amount. I left feeling angry, offended, and let down. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend her services, and I sincerely hope no other family goes through what we did.

She is compassionate, relatable, and understanding yet will effectively confront issues head on and challenge your old ways of thinking. I found Karina after deciding talk therapy wasn't working and wanted to try a more active approach. The first thing I noticed was that she was extremely perceptive and just by talking to me and observing my behaviors pointed out problematic thoughts and actions right off the bat that no one else has ever bothered to notice. These included obsessive behaviors and hoarding tendencies. We worked together to find constructive ways of changing behaviors using CBT. If you want to find real solutions and take action I can't recommend Karina enough. After working with her I realized I had wasted so much money on other therapists who did little more than sit and listen without offering real solutions. I am now in such a better place and I can't thank Karina enough helping me get here.
