I ended up in the ER twice because I couldn't get anyone to call me back after a month of bleeding and acute pain. Then after the ER visits, my follow-up appointment was cancelled the morning of because they were "out of supplies." I get that, but finding out by calling them instead of being properly notified was infuriating. Their phone lines are atrocious and they never call back. I was not notified about their location change and found out the morning of. Not once in two months of reaching out did I get someone to answer my voicemails. I called their emergency line and was callously told it "isn't our problem." I reached out to office managers, because the actual providers shouldn't be held back by the absolute disaster zone that is the front staff, but I never received any responses from them either. Do not go here. The front desk doesn't care if you live or die. I sound hysterical, but after spending over twelve hours crying and in pain in the ER, and in acute pain for a month because of their incompetence, you deserve to be forewarned.

Valuable to me in a practitioner are qualities of patience, thoroughness, humility, and collaboration. In my experience visiting St. Francis Health Center, and specifically with my nurse practitioner, Abby Rodriguez, I have felt entirely seen and cared for. The establishment is explicitly feminist and highly regards the voices and opinions of patients, materials in the lobby emphasize the power of women to make their own health choices and it is clear that the St. Francis Health Center exists to support women to do just that. In my checkups with Abby, I never felt like she lacked for time. Abby asked lots of questions pertaining to my physical, mental, and emotional health, in addition to performing a routine physical and ordering blood work. Based on my answers and the results of my blood work, Abby has been able to recommend a range of non-invasive options to support my particular health needs including vitamins, herbs, and supplements, and personally recommending mental health professionals, acupuncturists, various types of alternative and energy therapists. For example, Abby was able to recommend a pre- and post-surgery protocol of vitamins/supplements that accelerated my healing in incredible ways, much to my surgeon's dismay. Throughout my time seeing Abby, I have felt that we were exploring questions and answers together - without the undue pretension of an MD who makes an act of knowing more than they do and discards the infinite potential offered by Eastern/"Alternative" Medicine. I appreciate Abby for embracing and supporting my health interests and helping me to expand my own knowledge and understanding with the deep kindness and compassion you'd want in a personal relationship with someone caring for your whole self. I recommend her and this clinic to anyone.

This is the second time my physical exam was bifurcated into two. Dr. Gollub is personal and his office is nice, but in chatting about his own personal life, I should not be penalized in my own time and money. Dr Gollub told me he had four patients waiting after me. There appeared to be no one in the exam rooms or the waiting room as I left. It was however noon and perhaps his lunch time. I am hoping to find a better family practice doc who can also remove minor skin lesions. I think the quality of this practice has unfortunately declined. Really loved it initially.

As an established patient, I'm able to express both the specifics and quantity of my concern about my maladies and he has always addressed them appropriately: sometimes with further tests, sometimes with immediate treatment, sometimes with referral to a specialist (he is a G.P.). If you're looking for a long-term family medicine relationship, this is a good place. If you're looking for a doctor who will leap quickly to untested conclusions, look elsewhere.
