Many times, photo booths photo are dull or dark. Sometimes the layout or the design is too basic or boring. With Aww Snap, the owner Joey presented us with many options. My husband and I were able to customize the layout and design of our photo booth pictures. We used our engagement photo background and also incorporated our own monogram and the same font that we used for all of our wedding details (save the dates, invitations, place cards, etc). Eh, you get what you pay for. I didn't think it was necessary to spend a ton of money on a photo…read morebooth for our wedding, so I found an inexpensive deal with MementoStrip and ran with it. Weddings are already so expensive; I wanted to save a couple hundred. Looking back, I think we would have paid for a more established and expensive company, as MementoStrip was our least favorite vendor from our wedding. Here are a few missteps that happened: 1. The background was really small. The booth, which was an outdoor-style set up, only comfortably fit four or five people. When larger groups entered, the camera zoomed out and you could see the wall that the background was taped to. 2. The camera was pointed low and the settings were off. Our guests were forced to squat a little to fit in the frame and the photos came out way overexposed. My husband had to take time away from our reception to complain to the attendant. The attendant fixed it, but he shouldn't have to be told to do something as basic as that. 3. The attendant appeared in a couple of our shots. Why. 4. The attendant did not interact with us or tell our guests to expect to take four photos, so people look confused or the last frame is empty or with the next group walking into the booth. 5. The props table was not kept orderly. When we went to take photos, I was picking up props from the ground behind the table. I think these problems are easily remedied, so I hope that MementoStrip implements changes and trains their attendants carefully. As for us, we will not be recommending them to our other engaged friends.
