Jill store - I noticed it on my mission-trip to Williams Sonoma - was an excellent one. Friendly service, think Nordstrom'esque for welcoming shopper and assisting with finding items and checking with the shopper in the dressing room, well laid out store and with plenty of space in aisleways, neatly arranged merchandise with plenty of options but not overwhelming in same, sizes from 0 to 2X and Petites too. The manager here could teach a master class to other retailers in the area about how to get it right. It makes me want to learn how to wear J. Jill clothing because while I have tried in the past, the J. Jill in the Central Oregon city I lived in was accessed from sidewalk in shopping area and didn't require navigating an indoor mall, so I'd go in when passing by, I never have really learned how to make it work for me, although I am for sure their age demographic and the unfussiness of the styling works for my preferences even if some of the designs are too Eileen Fischer'esque shapeless for me and I feel as if I disappear in them. I'm a smaller and shorter person, 5'4" / size 2, and somehow the regular sizes in JJill are too big for me but the petites aren't right either. But my BFF who is 5'7" / 8 looks great in everything she has purchased in this brand over the years, as does a friend who is in the average American woman size of 12 -14 and they are all dedicated shoppers of J.Jill products. (See closing comment...J. Jill cultivates buyer brand loyalty.) The price is right and in particular when they have sales. Next time I am brave enough to go inside the mall I will spend more time here. If they moved the store outside the mall, I'd be there more often. SERVICE: Dressing rooms are nicely set up. I LOVE that a staff person will check to see if you want a different size or color or item so that you don't have to get dressed to go out to the store floor again. (You hearing this Macy's?) COMFORTABLE ACCESS FOR EVERYONE: As a shopper with disabilities, I have had multiple sclerosis since college years and it is a progressive disease, I particularly appreciate the perfect ADA compliance for at least 36" clear space in aisles. This has been equal access law since 1990 but you'd be amazed how many retailers, in particular for clothing, treat this as optional. Good for J. Jill corporate and this Boise store manager for taking it seriously. Better access is good for all shoppers, and essential for shoppers like me. 411: If you like knowing something about the retailers you choose to support with your spending (we all vote with our feet and wallets) this Forbes article from September 2022 on J. Jill (named after the original founders' daughter) is a good one to chart the ups, downs ups of the business. (Nothing to do with J. Jill, but when I lived in NJ in 1980 I used to sit on my condo deck on some days and watch Malcom Forbe's Capitalist Tool hot air balloon drifting in the distance. What really disappointed me was the lady lied and said they only went up about 20 cents. They went up a LOT more than that for 50 pounds! From 59 cents ($29.50 for 50 lbs) to $1.09 per pound ($54.50 for 50 lbs). Now, I'm not stupid.....I can see (my photos of the price list from before and the new one) photos and have receipts that prove the prices have majorly increased in the last month. They receive these donations for free - sometimes I think they forget that.

They carry a variety of goods for the entire family, including your fur babies. They seem to cater more towards certain brand names, like Teva, Keen, Shimano, Columbia and Born. They also have way more outdoors stuff like camping and fishing gear. Pretty decent prices and I noticed they carry a range of sizes from XS and up. I may find a piece of clothing that I really like at their other stores, but they may not carry that same thing in a larger/smaller size but here, you can find different sizes. I'm glad I stopped in and I'll return when I'm ready to hit the outdoors!!

Sizes run from 0 to 14 among brands and XS to XL. Get on their email list to learn about specials like Trunk Sales and Open Houses where discounts are offered. Or as in this Thanksgiving Weekend when they are offering discounts on spendy denim and tees as part of the Black Friday and Small Business Saturday events. At end of season sales when they are selling the stray pieces from the store, the buys can be superb. See example photo of Eileen Fischer jeans about $178 full price on sale during their summer clearance for about $40. Keep in mind, clothing is not returnable here. So be sure before you leave the store that it fits. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: The Village...the primal parking scream you hear is mine. It is what it is. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Level into and throughout the store. Plenty of room between displays. Changing rooms do not seem to have accessible minimums for grab bars etc as required by codes, but I didn't look at them closely. Sales transaction counter has no lowered to seat height space as required by laws and codes.

It was my B-day and even my husband was encouraging me! The salesperson never came out from behind the front desk area except to go to the back room for a few minutes. Other than that, I have no idea what she was doing...(maybe on line?) but I could have used some help. No one else was in the store....in December. I asked about different items, colors, if those items were available at the downtown store. Normal stuff. Her answer was polite, but she never moved. She said "everything is on the floor. I'm not sure if that comes in another color, but if it does, it will be out there". Back to her project (phone) and never moved. No intersction what-so-ever. We headed to 3peat after brunch to see what kind of dope stuff they had. This store front is so nice! Walking in, everything is so organized and clean. The shoes were perfectly displayed on the wall. There were racks of clothing that were all nicely hung. For a small venue, everything was nicely spaced. You didn't feel crowded. My husband did find a couple pair of rare sneakers but unfortunately they were not his size. It was cool that they had them and that we got to check them out in person. They have a great variety of sneakers for those sneaker heads out there or sneaker collectors. We didn't really check out what kind of clothing they had but from all the customers looking, I'm sure they had some cool stuff. I'm sure we will be back to see what new sneakers they get in. I honestly didn't mind kicking it while my husband looked around. I was admiring their two pretty chandeliers in the front. I thought it added a hint of elegance to the store.
