I went to Famous Pawn to sell some used music equipment that I didn't feel like selling on eBay. The woman with the messy blondish hair who appears to be an owner or manager referred to me as "Snaggle" to one of her employees who she sent to help me (I believe her name is Shannon). I do not have perfect teeth like she does. I'm sure she calls all customers rude names behind their backs all the time. If you decide to go in there after reading this review just keep in mind that if you have any physical imperfections she will most likely refer to you by whatever it is i.e. Fatty, scar face, cross eyes, ugly, etc.. Name calling is the lowest a person can go. Some people feel better when they can cut someone else down. Im never going there again and I'm telling all my friends on FB. They are getting too big for their britches and have the nerve to be selective on what they will take from a person who used to bring them a lot of business. I am a long time customer of Famous, they are a spectacular business. The reviews are obviously people with personal issues and i believe that the one that mentions Shanna is either an outright lie or someone misheard a comment. The other negative review mentions the store being selective about what items they take on pawn. That is the nature of this business. For example, an ipod touch at one time was a valuable item, it no longer is. Portable cd Players no longer hold value. The market changes every day. I have seen the sorts of pawn value that this shop lends and its higher than anyone else in the area. The prices are amazing and the people there are more than helpful. They bend over backwards to help buyers and sellers. Ive seen customers curse, throw things, spit, break items, the list is endless and the employees have always remained professional. Shanna is one of the sweetest and kindest people i have ever known and to think that she referred to anyone by a derogatory name is just unbelievable. If that review is accurate, I would bet my paycheck that the woman misunderstood or misheard. This is my go to pawn shop, it has been for 10 years. read more
