This is my second pregnancy receiving care at this office, and I have been under the care of Dr…read more Bell both times. I want to start by saying that Dr. Bell is absolutely phenomenal. She is attentive, compassionate, and truly listens to her patients. Knowing that she is leaving is incredibly disappointing, and unfortunately, without her, I would not return to this office for OB care. I have also had experiences with Dr. Wells, who is also a great physician. Both doctors make you feel heard, respected, and reassured during appointments. However, the overall experience with the office staff, specifically the nursing team, has been extremely negative. Nearly every interaction I've had with the nursing staff has felt condescending and dismissive. When you try to explain your symptoms or even reference prior conversations with your doctor, they often undermine what was previously discussed and make you feel like your concerns are invalid or exaggerated. There have been multiple instances where I called with urgent concerns after being discharged from the hospital, and the on-call practitioner was dismissive, spoke in a flat and uncaring tone, and showed a clear lack of empathy or urgency. While the front desk staff is generally helpful and professional, communication breaks down significantly when it comes to relaying messages to the doctor. It often feels like what you say is filtered through the nursing staff's personal opinions or assumptions, rather than being accurately communicated. This creates a serious gap in care and trust. One particularly concerning experience involved medication management. I attempted to communicate about a prescription I had already been taking prior to being a patient at this office. Instead of listening, I was repeatedly lectured by a nurse about how the medication "should" be prescribed, despite my attempts to explain the situation clearly. Even more concerning, the nursing staff later sent in an incorrect dosage for a blood thinner (Heparin) that I was instructed to take leading up to surgery. I had to follow up myself to correct the error directly with my doctor. This kind of mistake is not just frustrating, it's potentially dangerous. Overall, while the physicians at this office are excellent, the nursing staff significantly impacts the quality of care in a negative way. It creates unnecessary stress during what is already a vulnerable time. After leaving appointments feeling reassured by my doctor, that confidence is often undone when I have to interact with the nursing team. Patients should feel supported, heard, and advocated for at all levels of care, not just during face-to-face visits with their physician.

Molly Turner is by far one of the best healthcare professionals i have ever been a patient of. I have been battling issues for years and she has always taken the time the time to research and help me. Sometimes they are busy so it can take a while to be seen but with the level of care they offer i don't mind at all!

If you are a diabetic, I highly recommend you go for the diabetes and nutrition classes here…read more Extremely informative and helpful! I was diagnosed with type II diabetes 10 years ago, but never did what I was suppose to. My sugar levels finally went flying out of control about 6 months ago and I had no choice but to finally listen to my doctors. One thing my doctors had been recommending for years were these classes. All of the nutritionists and dietitians here are excellent! Everything was explained to me so I fully understood. They never minded having to repeat themselves (sometimes several times) until I understood something. I'm tellin' ya, counting carbs, taking insulin, and checking sugar levels 6 times a day cannot only be overwhelming, but also confusing! I liked the fact I was able to have one-on-one counseling with a nutritionist and a dietitian. They were able to help me make personal meal choices according to my likes and dislikes. They are also very knowledgeable about eating out at restaurants and fast-food chains. I was surprised to find out they did not discourage it - they were able to help me be able to make good, informed choices when I do choose to eat fast-food. They are located in the Howard Building of Baptist Hospital downtown which is connected to the Pavilion. I have several of my doctors located in the Pavilion, so I pop in here every now and then with questions and they always make time for me. The nutritionists and dietitians make themselves readily available. I've called numerous times with questions and they are always happy to speak with me. Great group of people here who genuinely care about you and your health. You will not be just another number walking through the door. If you make the effort, they most certainly will as well!
