This was in the basement of the store near Rose Theater, but they've moved. It seems to have made the staff even more rude. I've shopped at this store over the years, whenever we visit PT. And, as others have said, the selection is decent and mostly good quality items. But the staff - young hipster women - seemed miffed to be helping and appear to want to be anywhere but working. I cannot stress enough the awful vibes I get from this place. It's a dingy basement with clothes from Goodwill. Google reviews are lying, they're just from people who regularly shop and are treated with kindness because of their frequent appearance. The price of the clothes are way too high for random nitpicked stuff from Goodwill. Also, why are there imposing signs such as, "You're on camera, blah blah blah." This WAS a wonderful welcoming place to buy and sell clothing for locals and visitors--a friendly place to get lost in. I shopped and sold clothing here for many, many years. Ownership has changed. The specialty now seems to be smaller sizes. And many of the clothes that I bring in to consign get snubbed. The last time I was here, I found nothing at all--unheard for me! read more

Normally I have had great success with this place, but that was a LONG TIME AGO. Honestly I have to say this place is sooooo crowded with clothes racks it really is a safety issue! You have to work it like a maze. It's not handicap accessible, because you have to walk down stairs and again racks everywhere! There isnt enough room for people to walk. They even posted a picture of a shop lifter all over the store...not sure thats legal but ... Anyway its a consignment store and if you want to donate a couple of things get a name of whom you talk to. They say yes on the phone and when you go there in person they say NO. Employees seems snotty and rude. I would rather give to people to need it rather than a store who wants to charge a high price for used clothing. Plus ALL the sizes are tiny. Love this shop! Always find great bargains on name brand clothes, shoes, handbags. They stock for women, plus size, men and kids. Everything is gently worn or new with tags. Hard to find, because its in the basement below a street level store, and you have to have time to dig through the racks. read more

Best secondhand clothing store I've ever been to, and I live half a mile from the Hawthorne district in Portland. Most of the clothes were from top name brands and designer labels, though some classic vintage pieces were available. I bought some cute sweaters, but I had a blast trying on vintage leather bomber jackets with my mother. Can't wait to visit Port Townsend and Fancy Feathers again! read more

There's consignment stores and then there's Fancy Feathers. They have such an amazing selection - every time I've visited I've come across some fabulous buy I couldn't pass by. Whoever selects their inventory makes sure to choose lightly-worn clothes because the majority of items look and feel brand new. Prices are extremely reasonable - my July visit resulted in a pair of like-new Calvin Klein jeans AND an adorable classic summer dress for a whopping $7. That's right, SEVEN dollars! So take the time to head downstairs into Fancy Feathers during your visit to downtown Port Townsend. read more

Went in here to check out all the secondhand clothing. The selection was alright, I couldn't find anything really. I find some of the clothing to be overpriced. The fitting rooms are a little weird. Downstairs, they're hidden in the corner near the jewelry section. During the parade, my friend and I stayed in here to watch it, I was wearing my LIFEGUARD shirt, and people kept pointing and staring.. it was weird. Also, one lady said something to me, but clearly I couldn't hear. read more

When we Visit Port Townsend, which is about Two or Three Times a Year, we always stop in at Fancy Feathers. I've been shopping there since I was a Teenager... that's nearly 30 years! Things go really Quickly there, so if you see it, you should totally Purchase it! My husband bought a Vintage Izod Polo Shirt for his work at Providence Health Systems ( he works behind the scenes ), and a Hawaiian Shirt for when we like to Dress Up. I bought a Scarf, it's getting Colder out there, and a Pair of Colorful Shoes!!! I almost bought a pair of Black Jeans... but, they weren't cut for Curvy Gals like myself... so, I had to put them back on the Rack. Great Prices, you should definitely bring your friends here. There were a few Tourists the day that we stopped by... Port Townsend, WA sure does get it's " Fair Share " of the Tourists. :) read more

The staff is incredibly rude and will watch its customers like they can't wait for them to leave the store. They are incredibly brisk and make you feel unwelcome. The clothes are all in disarray and it's hard to find anything. The store also has a rather unpleasant formaldehyde smell. read more

My mother and I visited this consignment shop on a visit to Port Townsend. It's inside and down the stairs of the shop The Clothes Horse. I would not recommend going here. Try another consignment shop in Port Townsend where the employees are professional and the place is less crowded with junk .There were some cute things in the shop for reasonable prices, but it is not worth the way we were treated. We noticed right away that stuff was everywhere. There were empty racks in the main walkway, making it impossible to navigate the main part of the shop while it was busy. In addition, we were scolded by the owner ( I guess she was the owner?) to push the hangers back into alignment with the others because "We could literally run around all day pushing them back into place". Honey, if you wouldn't put so many clothes on the rack, you wouldn't have that problem. This statement was issued around a mouthful of food from her spot sitting on the floor, surrounded by children playing with toys. I understand this is an easygoing town, but that is not a very professional way to run any type of business. read more

I am very thankful for Fancy Feathers Consignment shop that offers a huge selection of high quality pre-owned apparel, footwear and accessories. I started loosing weight from being ill and have seen several docs but continue to pray, I dropped from a size woman's 16 to a woman's size 4. While living at The Fairbanks Rescue Mission I had a bit of trouble finding any size 4 jeans etc. Years ago I went to Washington State Power Lifting Championships through Shelton High School, it's been awhile since I owned this many awesome stretch pants and workout clothes. What Awesome prices!!!!!!!! I was blessed with a brand new pair of marika shape enhancing for $20 Awesome brand new workout tanks for $6.95......I love to workout.......I couldn't be more grateful it sure feels Awesome to be a Champion again in God's eyes :) !!!!!!! Thank you Fancy Feathers for your Awesome employee Alanna who was amazingly honest and helped me make wise decisions of what looked good and caring enough to help me sort through and choose the very best for me as a customer.
