I've bought gifts from stickers, mugs, stuffed animals, puzzles, coloring books and fun socks here - a bit on the pricey side but the quality is top notch and well worth the price tag! This is one of my favorite stores to browse whenever I make the trip to Port Townsend. My family and I make the trip 3-4 times a year. We always make a stop here for fun items, gifts, stickers, things we dont need but are fun to get for ourselves and others. Lots of variety - definitely left leaning which I am not personally a fan of, but nonetheless I can find neutral items. There have been times I have been a little frustrated with their obvious in your face political choices, but hey, it is their store and they can stock what they want (not going to throw a tantrum about it, I just choose to ignore and move on to the next section). I always find cool gifts here and I love their water bottle sticker, postcard and card selection. Nice toy section for kids too. Love this little place and will be back next time and next time and next time. Prices are a little on the high side as can be true with any touristy town/shop. Parking can be a bugger during busy seasons. read more

DON'T TALK ON YOUR PHONE! I was trying to pick a tote bag for my mother and describing the patterns on the bags-had been in the store about 2 minutes- when the saleswoman loudly said, "Is that going to be a long conversation?" I said "no" and she then went on to tell me that was NOT the place to have a phone conversation. I found the bag cheaper at Central Market. I have been patronizing Abracadabra for years, but won't anymore-I don't tolerate rude salespeople. read more

How can you not love this store!? They have everything (that you probably don't need, but definitely want). For the most part, I would categorize their inventory into 3 categories: (1) Childrens items, (2) Cards and Books, and (3) Gifts which include everything from socks to jewelry and a variety of other little trinkets. Also, the staff is so nice and out going! If you are walking along Water Street, you must stop in here. It's easily one of the best shops. read more

I visited this shop today on a family outing to Port Townsend. Though the shop was cute and had an interesting assortment of gifts; the mandatory hand sanitizer station was over the top. The shop had a sign on the door saying that all customers must wear a mask. There was also mention of a maximum of 12 shoppers in the store at one time. All fine. My family and I entered and immediately saw a hand saniter station, with a non descript, generic looking, brand of hand sanitizer. This was not an optional thing. I saw the cashier staring at us as we entered and bypassed the sanitizer. I don't use it because I have eczema and also because the scent really sets off my chronic migraines. My kids also have sensitive skin and don't use it either. We shopped and made a purchase, and as we wandered about the store, felt completely stared at and glared at by the one store worker. We overheard her asking another family that entered to please use the sanitizer on themselves and their children. We walked out after our purchase, and saw the worker come up to the door and glare at us some more through the glass. I found other shops in town to be much more welcoming, with no madatory hand sanitizer. Trying to force customers to put chemicals on themselves and their children, especially from a non descript bottle and not a well known brand name, is too much. One thing the worker should have focused on was limiting the number of customers in the store. There was certainly more than 12 and no effort was made to control that. I will avoid this place the next time I go back to town and go to one of the other gift shops, who were all welcoming. read more

This is the first store I visit every time I come to Port Townsend. There is so much to look at and so many cute gifts. They have so many things including cook books, cards and stationary, coloring books, games, children's toys, gag gifts, and home décor. I often end up buying something for a friend and something for myself because their inventory is so unique. read more

I always stop here whenever I visit Port Townsend. For a small shop, they sure have a great selection of toys, games and knick knacks. The surroundings are warm and friendly with everything nicely displayed. I always find something I want on the little demo table in the middle of the store. The people are also very friendly and helpful and will gladly show you the latest and greatest thing that just came in. I'm always discovering something new that I had never seen before. All of the items are of the highest quality with no junk. Don't miss it if you happen to stop in Port Townsend. read more

There is absolutely no reason to go anywhere else for a gift or something fun for yourself. I have been shopping at Abracadabra for at least 15 years and have always found something. It's my go to for birthday presents for sure, for someone of any age. The staff is super helpful and they even know how to play all the games they have in the store! This was our favorite store on our recent trip to Port Townsend. I ended up finding a great present for my dad for his birthday and my friend found several great funny Christmas presents. Prices might be a bit more than what you'd pay for online, but I'm a big fan of supporting local businesses, and I just love the random stuff they stock here. The gal working was really friendly and chatted with us while we shopped. I'll definitely be stopping in every time I'm in PT to see what new things they've started stocking. read more

I was so disheartened at how the shop lady whom I presume was the owner treated me. She called me a looky loo and refused to tell me the time as it was near seven pm. She indicated it was due time for me to leave right away. She was really really condescending. Kudos for me: I did not talk back to her. There were many other patrons in the store happily looky looing around but as for me and my friends I suppose our kind wasn't welcome. And to boot I've seen better stuff at Six Star. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this store - it really does pay to shop online. I was actually thinking since the newspaper sent an ad to my mailbox really kind of begging for people to shop in Port Townsend, I might check out some of what's on sale. Well, I did not know that ad was only meant for certain types of people if you know what I mean. read more

Adorable. This store was just...adorable. Cute games, books, and trinkets. I had a lovely chat with the owner. She was so sweet to our little one and clearly enjoys her job. We purchased a compact dominoes set but could have gone way overboard had we not pulled ourselves away. Great for young ones and big kids alike. read more

This is a wonderful little shop for gifts, games, and cards. They have a great collection of quirky greeting cards and slightly eccentric humorous gifts, mostly for women. It's fun just to go in and look around. They also sell Putamayo CDs and some jewelry. Sales people have been helpful and friendly. read more

I visited this amazing little shop while on a river cruise with American Cruise Lines. I purchased several really fantastic , quality postcards by European artists....I also made some other purchases but the post cards will surely be loved by those I send them too.
