I almost didn't go here due to bad reviews but I love my nails and I'm happy I went! My nail tech was very gentle and very precise, she was amazing, she checked in with me through every step. The place was clean and professional, I haven't gotten my nails done in four years due to a past bad experience, this salon makes me wanna start getting my nails done again. I definitely will be back! also just to mention my sister did have a bad experience with the male nail tech who works here saying his nails were very dirty and he rushed her nails. I appreciate my nail persons attention to detail because that's what I feel like I'm paying for... Otherwise, I'd do my own nails... Today was my first time here. Not super impressed. Becky, who comes highly recommended on yelp seems to have an angle problem. She is sweet and nice. Giant plus. But, when you cut my nails and they are all at a 30degree angle... That's just weird. Fancy Nail & Spa is my favorite place to get my nails done in the North Hills. They are open every day besides Sunday. If you're coming during a weekend day - call and make an appointment- it does get a little busy. If you're coming during a weeknight, you should be good. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. The spa is very relaxing and clean. They a wide variety of OPI colors and other nail polish brands - they also have the newest collections available. There are 6 pedicure chairs, 6 manicure tables, and one waxing eyebrow table. Each station is always very neat. Their prices are reasonable, but you can also get a fancier pedicure if you want. They do a wonderful job for pedicures and manicures. You can also get a nail art creative design, shellac, gel, etc. I'll definitely be back again soon to Fancy Nail & Spa. read more

Nice nail salon north of the city! Me and my two girlfriends came here. They were able to take all three of us. The two technicians we encountered were both nice. My technician did a nice job cleaning up my cuticles (the best reason to get a mani or pedi in my opinion!). The facility was clean. Prices are very affordable! My pedicure was $25 and a gel manicure was $30. Prices all seemed to be about $5 less than what you find in the city. read more

Updating review from 4 to 5 stars due to consistent track record of great manicures and pedicures, which is hard to find. I've also had many nail techs here and they all do a great job. Original review : I've been here a handful of times for gel pedicures and I like it. They have great color selection, great pedi chairs, and the pedicures are reliably good. I recommend Amy or Becky, but I haven't had a service from anyone else so I can't comment on the work of others. This place is usually pretty busy which is a good sign. I use to love this salon it was my go to nail place, but now after the last time I got acrylics they burned my real nail and it broke off so many of my nails that literally losing my nails. I got my eyebrows waxed and thank God I had my eyes closed because she dropped hot wax right on my eye lid, she could have freaking blinded me. I went to this place out of sheer convenience when I lived closer to it. They used to have a tech named Ammy that was amazing and up-to-date on trends. She'd talk to you and make suggestions and I just loved her, but all of the sudden she wasn't there anymore. After she left this really just became another nail salon. Each time I went it felt incredibly rushed and in general I think they just wanted to plow customers through rather than focus on customer experience. read more

I went here yesterday to get a full set for my prom today! I actually meant to make an appointment at the nail salon next to Bruegers bagels near Starbucks on Siebert, but accidentally called this place lol. I'm not sure what my lady's name was, but she did such a good job, she was really nice also. Although, she kept fighting with me on the length of my nails, I told her I wanted short and she kept saying they were short enough... Also she put one of the gems on upside down and I lost a gem an hour after I left? She was also kind of getting mad at me for "using all of her gems".. After yelling at me for that, she grabbed my hands, positioned them on the table and pulled out her phone to take a picture (didn't ask me if she could?) and said "I'm taking a picture since you used all of my gems." ....isn't that what they are there for? The only reason I give this place 4 instead of 5 stars is that there are a few places where the gel does not fill all the way down to my cuticle and the gel wasn't put on the tip of my nail. My fiancé loved his luxury pedicure, which had 2 or 3 rounds of massages. The prices were very reasonable: $30 gel mani, $40 luxury pedi. Overall, we were in and out in about 35-40 min. read more

I was here to get gel polish done. It was $30 not including a tip. It turned out ok, although, I feel that for $30, the nails should be near perfect. Mine have small bubbles in the paint and they are less than smooth in a few places. Also, it's only been one week and it seems like the hard topcoat is wearing away and the polish has some scuffing and appears dirty. I feel like I didn't get what I paid for and I will try another nail salon next time. read more

This is an update to my previous 5-star review. For a while (2014-15), I liked this place. I had a great nail tech who did a good job for the pedicures I recieved. Unfortunately, that person seems to be gone, and the last 2 times I went, I had someone new. He rushes through, and the polish doesn't look good when he's done - he misses 1/3 of the nail, and just gets the center. I've given up on this place now, and am looking for somewhere new. read more

I have gone to this salon on and off for 2 years because of it's convenience to where I work. When I first started going the work was good and the price was right. When I started going back in August that wasn't the case. First of all - literally no one in this business introduces themselves to you. I have no idea what anyone's name is that works there and I have been there probably 20 times in 2 years. I kept getting the same person. He is always rushing!! He will do a fill and gel polish in less than 25 minutes. It's ridiculous. The first time I went back I would say the work was fine - not great, but fine. The second time I went back I was getting my nails done for a wedding. He went so fast again!! He wiped my nails after the gel had set and told me I was good to go. When I woke up the next morning - less than 12 hours since I got my manicure - the polish was peeling off half of my nails!!!! I had to go completely out of my way the night before this wedding to drive all the way back to them to get them fixed. When I walked in nobody greeted me so I just walked up to the one girl and started to explain what happened. Another girl asked to see my nails as if she didn't believe what I was saying and then told the other girl to fix them. The girl who fixed them was super sweet. She did a great job fixing them and made sure they were 100% before I left. She refused a tip. The next time I went after the guy again. As usual he rushed, it was average work at best, but this time the price jumped from $25 for a fill and gel polish to $30. A few weeks later I go back. The guy took less than 30 minutes. He was not letting my nails sit under the light long enough to set. When I would try to leave them under longer he would tell me they were done. He wiped them down, told me I was good to go, and told me I owed $35 this time. I have only been getting a fill and gel polish the 3 months I had been going back there and now suddenly the price has jumped $10 for the same service. I'm super annoyed at this point and had already decided I wasn't going back there ever again. Unfortunately, on my way home I look down at my nails while sitting at a red light and 3 of them are peeling AGAIN! When I look closer you can see that he didn't even put the top coat evenly on most of my nails. I turned around and went straight back there to get them fixed. Absolutely ridiculous! Everyone else except him was busy when I went back. He looked at them and fixed them. Less than 2 weeks later 3 of them are chipping - one badly. This person doing my nails would also make fun of my colors choices and try to push other colors on me. I did not appreciate that at all. Between that, having to go out of my way twice to have his work fixed, and the price for the same exact service (and increasingly worse quality) going up $10 in a 3 month span I will never be going back to this salon ever again no matter how convenient it may be. read more

I called to ask if they could do black colored acrylic, was told yes but once I was seated they said they only had glittery black. I said it was okay since I was already started. He was rough with the file and drill, my nail beds were burning and they still hurt hours later. The acrylic is lumpy and uneven, doesnt cover all of my nails in some spots. I will NEVER use this nail salon again!!!! Let me preface my review with the fact that I only treat myself to a manicure/pedicure about once a year. I thought I would try out "Fancy Nails" because I have a friend who occasionally gets her nails done here, but I will NEVER use them AGAIN!!!! I recently went there for a manicure/pedicure and had a very bad experience: I had an older gentlemen(should have gotten his name) do my manicure/pedicure and he was very rough to the point where he actually cut one of my toes when he was trimming my toe's cuticle and it was bleeding......it was sore for 5 days!!!! Also, he did not remove all of the dry skin on my feet. He also did a very bad job painting my nails and toes......my manicure/pedicure would have lasted longer if I would have done it myself!!!! When I called to talk to the manager, Becky, she told me to come back on a Wednesday or Thursday night and she would re-do the pedicure, but who has that kind of time during the work week and besides that, my toe was injured from being cut and I never want anyone in that nail salon to touch my hands and feet ever again!!!!! read more
