I went to the salon yesterday to get my nails filled and to get a French chrome put on. I was completely discussed it with the outcome. I was treated extremely poorly and they charged me almost $75 for my nails and I them redone because they look completely horrendous. I hate to leave a bad review but I also hate to waste my time and money. I went here for an acrylic fill because my usual nail salon is closed for construction and I wouldn't recommend it for acrylic nails at least since that's what I had done. I booked an appointment online for gel on my toes and dip on my nails and requested Amy specifically. To start, Kevin messed up the time and thought I was coming at 5:00 instead of 5:30, which was not true, I even looked back on my appointment I scheduled online (this started the downhill turn). When I arrived, I was immediately rushed around by Kevin and did not get Amy - I got Kevin Huynh. He started on my toes and was very rushed the entire time, running around. I requested French tips and when he was painting my first toe, I asked if the color he put on for the base was pink, which I did not request (he actually never even asked me what color). I told him I didn't really like the pink and usually go with a nude color. He simply continued with the pink and said this is the usual base color (which is not true because Amy did not use pink when I went to her). While he was doing my toes, I told him the very simple design and color I wanted on my nails when he asked. He immediately said he didn't have time for a design. Meanwhile, I'm paying for this service and made an appointment! Not my fault he scheduled me wrong. After telling him if he doesn't have time, I'll just simple get my toes done, he suddenly changed his mind. Well, that was a mistake because he was rushed the entire time. The design on one finger was awful and the nails were not clean. The entire experience not relaxed at all and I wish I could "return my nails". I'd go back if I was able to book with Amy, I loved going to her. I'm currently at another nail salon and they even asked where I got my nails done because they were done poorly and almost impossible to get off - ruined my nails. read more

I came into town for an event and had asked a relative to book a mani/pedi time for me somewhere nearby. When I arrived I was greeted immediately. No need for an appointment either; however, on my way out as it was becoming early into Thursday evening , there was a bit of a crowd inside. It seems as though many here are regulars though by the chit chat and regulars are always a good thing. The same staff did both sets of nails. Manicure * $25 basic manicure *i was never asked what kind of manicure I wanted. I would have stepped up to the Golden. Pedicure *$35 signature pedicure * really nice massage and scrub I was definitely happy with my nails for the event. I went with a color I would not have chosen unless for this event. I've taken off my fingernail polish but the toe polish is still strong and I had them done 2 weeks ago. I'd recommend getting nails done here if you're in the area. read more

I struggled with returning to the nail salon and which salon to choose after the CV-19 shut downs. I did some digging and found that Golden Nail Spa has changed ownership since my last visit and offered online reservations. I almost hesitate to post such a glowing review because I don't want to have to fight to get in!! Nail salons often provide an excellent service with a less than clean environment. This salon is extremely clean. Pedicure chairs are staggered and rotated. Manicure stations have plexiglass guards. There is a staff member who did nothing but clean the entire time I was there. That person also mopped the floor several times during my mani/pedi! Something I've never seen in decades of nail services. Staff members were friendly and efficient. I had an excellent massage and watched a woman get a spectacular 4th of July manicure. I left feeling refreshed and feeling good. The staff made sure I was happy with my service. I only reserved the 5th star because I want to see how long my gel manicure will last. As I left - I texted my girlfriends "this is my new place." read more

First of all, the owner is extremely rude to customers. Might also have to do with race. I am an Indian woman. I got stuck in traffic and was late for my appointment. He was not happy and said you are always late. I am not a regular customer so there is no way it's me he was thinking of. He rudely said come NOW, I have other appointments. When I went to the salon, he again mentioned that I am late for my appointment in front of other customers. When I asked for Manicure, he said NO! He did not do my manicure because I was late, this is what his assistant told me. Very unprofessional and bullying experience. I had to go to some other place and get my manicure done. This place is expensive too. Everything is add on. Bad vibe all together. People come to salon to feel good. I came out sad and completely unhappy. read more

I just popped in this salon because I had some time while waiting for a client. The salon is very clean, bright, and aesthetically pleasing. There was no wait and one of the owners got started on my shellac mani right away. He was very friendly and even chatty - which is rare in these salons. He painstakingly trimmed my cuitcles and the shellac came out with a high-mirror shine! Granted, I will have to post a review on how long the shellac lasts, as that's my barometer for a good manicure! read more

I can't say enough good things about this nail salon. First, they are always on time! I hate when you take the time to make a nail appointment and arrive on time and sit and wait because they are running behind. I have never had this problem since I started going to golden nails! Also everyone is so friendly and kind and my nails last the longest out of every place I've tried. Lastly, they have a MASSIVE color selection including regular polish, gel and dip. Updated review May 3rd 2014. Okay, I just went back for my third appointment. The second time I went the gentleman that works there did my nails. I was thrilled with the work he did and I would give his work 5 stars. However, the woman who did my nails the first time did them again on this third visit. I would give her 3.5 stars. The issues that I had with her the first visit we're pretty much the same this time around. However it seems like when she does them I'm not immediately happy with them, but once I give them a day or two the excess polish wears off of my hands and I tend to be happier with my nails. One thing I've noticed is that when she painted my nails for some reason they don't seem to grow out as quickly and I am able to go an extra week before I need to get them filled again. That alone is exciting for me because that allows me to save money. While it may not seem that I'm giving them a terribly positive review, I do believe that this will be my go to nail salon for quite a while now. After visiting several salons in the area I have been most pleased with this salon and will continue to give them my business. read more

What a great find! I was able to get an appointment the same day I called, and I'm glad I went. Wayne was great! He did a wonderful job with my Mani/Pedi, taking his time and making conversation. I picked a color and he made other suggestions as well that they offered outside of the basket of samples I had to choose from. Was looking for a new nail place to go to...Thought the pictures online were beautiful and it would be an amazing place but it wasn't...Me and my sister both went, I got acrylic nails and they didn't even use the color I asked for and two nails broke off about two hours after I left the salon...I had gems put on as well and they didn't stay on for no longer than a week. Lets not forget, just about every nail I had put on was crooked, made me very upset! Therefore, all my nail polish chipped off and they used about 10 coats of gel which was so excessive. Anyways, my sister got a manicure then...and her nail polish was so clumpy and made her uncomfortable obviously. She did get one acrylic nail on though because she broke her actual nail and that came off in less then a week. We were so disappointed and the price was just ridiculous too! I have been here twice. The first time, I would have given the place and the experience three stars. After the production that was Friday afternoon at Golden Nails, they are lucky to receive 1 from me. I get the same thing at any nail salon I go to - a fill in my acrylics and a toe polish change so the color on my hands and feet match. By "Toe Polish Change," listed on most nail salons pricing boards, that means you sit in the pedicure chair, they take off your current toenail polish, clip them if you politely ask, file, then paint your toenails. I have seen this service offered for anywhere from $6-$10. First time there - wanted to get my toe polish changed and my acrylics filled. They were dead and the man (owner) and woman were there. The woman took me back to work on my toes. She took a long time (probably nearly 30 minutes) on them to just clip, file and paint, but I liked the way they looked - neat and even without all the poking, prodding, soaking of a pedicure. Then, she took me to her nail station to give me my fill. This service took a bit longer than planned because she did have to replace one of my acrylics. Almost the entire time she ranted about a new technician they had recently hired, raising her voice and expressing her distain toward her. I didn't think this was super professional, but I understand frustrations at work and that sometimes you just want to vent. But after being there for another hour and 45 minutes, I was ready for her to just be quiet and get the job done. I really liked my nails and I didn't think pricing was anything outrageous or different than what I normally pay at any other salon, so I happily left (and got home way later than I had originally planned). That night, I snapped my nail in my door (my luck!) and had to go back the next day. The man fixed my nail quickly on a Friday afternoon and I was good to go. Three stars for the slow service, the ranting nail technician, but a good looking set of fingers and toes. Fast forward to this past Friday when I stopped in after work for my usual nail salon routine. I was told there would be a quick wait. I offered to make an apt and come back later, but the owner told me it would be ok, that he could fit me in. I waited for maybe 5 minutes before he sent me back to the chair to do my toes. He came back quickly and started taking off my polish. At 4:50, a woman walked in and said she was there for her 5oclock apt, but that she was in no rush. I assume the owner either forgot about her or was reading his appointment book wrong because he seemed very surprised and instantly overwhelmed. (the woman was working on another apt that showed up when I did). I could see his anxiety and suggested that he could just do my toes and I would come back for my nails the following day. He did not even get all of my existing polish off before he started slopping on the new color (without filing or ANYTHING) unevenly and streaky. After he was done, he didn't suggest drying. Just told me it would be $12 for my visit. I was appalled. I should have walked out without paying as my cat could have done a better job at painting my toenails, but I sucked it up, paid and will not be returning. I will, however, give them one star for their terrible customer service, unapologetic practices and insane pricing for their quarter-effort job they do. My word of advice would be to definitely make an appointment at this place and make sure you leave yourself enough time for an extra long appointment and/or enough time to leave this salon and go directly to a different one to have them fix the mistakes Golden Nails made.....like I had to do last Friday. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to be injured. Unprofessional sloppy service. Went in for mani/pedi because I was shopping in area. Girl doing pedicure was using the cheese grater type callous remover she wasn't paying attention and carelessly sliced an inch of skin off side of my foot! OUCH. I was bleeding all over the place. The first time I had a girl who did an awesome job on my nails for a reasonable price. The second time I went the girl I had was already busy so I got a guy who gave me a completely different color on my nails then what I asked. Also did my fill in very sloppy to the point where my nail on my middle finger looks like it is being bent backwards. I also got ombré nails which are horribly blended. When I returned and questioned the owner his reason for the adtl $5 was for "callous removal", he said the girl didn't ask before doing it because "she doesn't speak much English". Today was my first time here. I decided on this place due to the reviews. I had a really hard time deciding what to rate this salon. My nails turned out wonderful, I am very happy. I would give the end results a 5. That being said, however, the service brought my rating way down. The length of time I was there (3 hours) for a simple full set would have been outweighed by the fabulous end result if the technician would not have been completely rude and out of line the entire time I was there. Not only did she criticize what I wanted done, the length/color/etc. She criticized my weight and told me I was fat (I just had a baby quite recently). i have been here 3 times now and i loved the other 2 times, but today was not up to par. i asked for white with a silver sparkle on my ring finger and i am leaving the salon with a whole hand with silver sparkles on every nail. There isn't even an under coat. also when they started to clip away skin first they took away to much skin and my finger was bleeding and so i have a rim of dried blood around my finger. also, they put on to much during layers that they dropped and when i put it under the light it dropped on to my skin so i can easily peel it off. not very happy at all! read more

Visiting from California and had an hour to kill in the area. Was in dire need of a pedicure and stopped in. I was the only customer on a Wednesday about 10:30am. Place was clean. Clinician was very friendly and did a great job on my feet, which were in bad shape. I wish that I could have stayed for a manicure, but my driver's meeting ended early and I had to leave.
