Christine Zohrabians is such a talented wedding planner. I am extremely picky and had a very specific vision for our wedding. 17/11/2012 First to Review First off, I never write reviews on anything, but this I feel stongly about. I had my wedding in July. I figured I needed a wedding planner because I had 5 months to plan a wedding while enrolled in my last semester of grad school. I came across Christine's page on FB and thought, why not. She charged $7,000. In that 5 months time, the biggest contribution she made toward our wedding was recommending a great photographer and setting up an appointment to check out Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach, where we eventually held the wedding. Though the wedding turned out amazing, it was less due to her than it was to the effort my and my husbands families put into it. 1. She hardly had time to meet with us, leaving important details to the very last second. For example, she asked me for the guest list and laptop containing our slideshow the morning of my wedding. Although I gave her clear directions on how to access the slideshow (go to windows movie maker. Select the one and only file there), she did not follow them, showing, instead, an auto-saved earlier version of it to my family and friends. I had put a lot of effort into my slideshow, which contained pictures with family members that I wanted to acknowledge. Upon being confronted, she was very defensive and offered no apology, which only served to irritate us further. 2. Unprofessional. She was consistently late to every meeting, hardly made time to meet and was poorly dressed on the day of the wedding. 3. Does not fight to get you the best price. Does not even try. I was able to find better bargains for equipment such as chairs, lights, etc. than she was. And of course, upon being confronted, she defended herself while making very little sense. 4. Tasteless. Had absolutely no original suggestions/ideas. She just steals ideas from peoples weddings and shows them to the next customer. 5. Unhelpful. All she did was tag along to meetings we had with the florist. All she did was paraphrase whatever I said. Once again, contributed nothing. Do yourselves a favor and save yourself the extra stress, irritation and money and hire a professional! read more

My very first Yelp review! I can't believe its been 2 years since our wedding day. Up to this day, we still receive great feedback from our guests how much fun they had during our wedding. Having moved from New York to marry the love of my life, I was lost and did not know where to begin when we got engaged. We talked to a well trusted friend who owns an event rental company who he would recommend if he was to do his wedding again and without hesitation said Christine Zohrabians of Fancy That Events! is the upcoming Mindy Weiss! This friend of ours has seen all planners here in LA and we trusted his advice. I met with a LOT of planners! Interviewed probably 6-7 of them. Christine was the last person I interviewed because I had to wait for her to get back from giving birth. This woman went back to work I swear the next day after labor! I had an instant connection with her right away! Because she has great style and taste. We sealed a full package coordination with her.... which I think is the only way to go. We are both full time employees. I work in finance and was about to start MBA school and my husband works in entertainment. We needed someone we can rely on to make decisions. Christine connected me to the best vendors in town who match our style and personality: Flowers from Tic-Tock; Photographer: Marianne Lozano; Invitations- Creative Works; Accessories- Creative Touch; Cake and Pastries- Rafi's, etc.. The whole process was enjoyable because of her. She would even call me just to say hello when she hasn't heard from me for awhile. She stayed late the night before putting together our place cards. Christine will get things done and will give you your dream wedding. But brides, be realistic too, you have to know your budget and what it can get you. Granted we invested significantly on our wedding, we know our wedding looked and felt way more than what it costed us. She made sure every detail is in place and guests felt welcomed and special that day. She hired an assistant (Erica) that day to take care of the church details so Christine can take care of the reception. Both of them were exceptional! We had a very classy and sophisticated wedding. Christine even helped my husband keep his surprise gift from me. Christine sneaked in Brian McKnight in the bridal room and kept me away from the room until it was time for him to come out and sing.
