I had an outstanding experience with Mike from Fannin Towing in Blue Ridge! We got stuck on the driveway at our Airbnb in the winter storm of 2025. We called 9 tow companies and no one had availablity. I called Fannin and they told me they'd be there in 2 hours. From the moment I called they were friendly, and reassuring. Mike and his driver arrived faster than I expected, and they were incredibly careful with my vehicle, and answered all my questions and explained everything to me. The entire process was seamless, and the price was exactly what I was quoted--no surprises. Once he got us up the hill, I was nervous going down the icey hill to the main road. beware! if you call them and request a tow truck and then call back to cancel before they even arrive they will still come and say you have to pay them $20 for gas. i had a flat tire and needed a jack for my spare. i asked the tow driver if he'd change my tire since he wanted $20. he then said i'd have to pay him $85 to put my spare on. i ended up having to call the police because he would not leave without $20 for gas. a good samaritan stopped to help me and gave this crook $20. aftet he left i filed a report with the police department. bad for business. dont use them otherwise they will rip you off. Okay STORY TIME! So I don't like getting tires at all right, bad start already. Friends had a cabin party going on in Morganton, GA. I'm from Gwinnett...I got to the cabins and it was beautiful buttttt when it was time to leave I was worried about backing straight out downhill the gravel driveway which I should've done instead of trying to make a whole 360 pivot turn. So I get stuck cause there is absolutely NO traction on my right rear tire, bald as hell. AAA left us on a mountainside for over 8 hours with our grandson's car that wouldn't start while changing their story all the while. One of their last excuses was saying their wrecker services said the narrow mountain road was too muddy for them to navigate. THE ROAD WAS PAVED, NO MUD! Out of desperation we finally left the car overnight and I called Fannin Wrecker Services in Blue Ridge, GA, the next morning where we met Matt who came to our rescue and was everything anyone would ever wish for when you need a car towed. It was difficult but he managed to get the flatbed in position after several maneuvers and took the car to Frankfurt Foreign Automotive in Woodstock, GA, where we were blessed again with a great experience in having the necessary repairs completed at a very reasonable price. While vacationing on Cherrypicked Log Mountain my 4WD truck became stuck in the good ole red Georgia clay. As a AAA member I was not immediately concerned, only to find out (after 90 minutes) that AAA could not assist. There are apparently no AAA affiliated businesses in that area of North Georgia. Luckily Fannin was not only available but quite responsive.
