A woman then interrupted the cutting by telling my stylist that I would not get a blow-dry because my hair was too "tangled." This was uncalled for and unnecessary and salon should not offer services if the cannot deliver. I believe her name is Alyssa, probably the store owner. Terrible customer service experience. Great salon! Very friendly atmosphere & high quality for reasonable prices. I went here about a month ago, Nhi did a fabulous job & I have really curly hair! My mom went in a few weeks later and Leslie colored/cut her hair. My mom cannot stop raving about how much she loves her hair and especially, the color! Looks the best it has in years. I have been a customer for several years, but my last visit there will be my last. Each time I have been in, the price for the same service has changed - sometimes less than the previous visit and sometimes more. I would recommend asking the price BEFORE the service is performed. Should be no stars. Was not taken promptly at 11AM. Talked to stylist about possible cuts. Was not totally sure that smooth style would work with the amount of curl I have. She washed my hair. I requested to look at a style book. I looked at maybe 8 pages. At that point manager came over and said stylist wouldn't be able to cut my hair because her next appointment was there. It was 11:20. Her next appointment had arrived at 11:15 minutes, 15 minutes early. I guess that must have been someone important. I was told I would not be happy with anything that was done. Not sure what that meant. I said to go ahead with the cut she had described. Manager said there was not time to cut my hair. They would blow dry my hair. Did that mean I should come back a different day? I just walked out with wet hair. Such rude treatment by manager. It was very important to stay on schedule according to manager. This is amusing. First you texted me that the price increase was because the stylist used 2 boxes of rollers(mixed size rollers!) in my hair. I told you my head had not grown bigger since my last perm at your location where your previous stylist used only 1 box of rollers on my head. (You then said some of your employees steal) Now you are saying your stylist used 2 and half bottles of perm solution on my hair that is why price is higher! First of all she used 1 bottle of perm solution- I was there, you were not. I do not want my hair fried with chemicals, I would have stopped her or asked her why she needed more than the recommended perm solution. Second going by your current story if your stylist used 2 boxes of rollers in my hair, 2 and half bottles of perm solution and the result is my hair has no curls then clearly you are not thinking or using common sense. No wonder you complain your employees are stealing from you and you have a high turnover. With this type of unsatisfactory service, your customers will have high turnover too with no regulars. Haircut was good as was the price. Nothing against the salon, but the stylist was extremely rude and her tone and demeanor made me feel extremely unwelcome and like an inconvenience. Additionally, the whole experience felt rushed as she jumped back and forth between me and another customer. I have been getting my highlights and cuts at this salon and it comes out looking beautiful every time. Wouldnt recommend going lady was nice but she did a horrible job with a simple hair cut. My mother looked at the back of my head and said it looked like a kid chopped random piece of my hair and was really really bad. It wasnt even and just overall wasnt what i asked for. I left while my hair was still wet because there was people waiting in the lobby and i felt rushed and told her not to worry but i was wrong i noticed when i got home and straightened my hair how bad it was. My regular stylist cancelled on me at the last minute... after I had waited two weeks for an appointment (it was my first salon appointment after Covid closures). I was desperate to find someone to do my hair because I was attending an out-of-town wedding the next day. I searched the internet and found I could make an appointment online at Fantastic Sams. I booked with Jennifer that morning -sight unseen- and I am so happy that I did! Jennifer did a FANTASTIC job on my hair. She was super friendly and spent extra time showing me how to style it. I will certainly be going back to her. In addition, the cost was about half of what I would have paid at my regular stylist...so I treated myself to some hair products when I checked out. We have been going to Fantastic Sams on Ronald Reagan since it opened. Lately, the wait time is ridiculous and their employees have been rude. I was told that in the mornings they only have one employee working and afternoons/evenings they have two. That's not enough staff - especially when you have 5 people waiting to get a haircut. I received a haircut from Leslie and it turned out awful. While cutting my hair she told me she did not wear her contacts/glasses today. This began to worry me but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. After the cut it was obviously uneven. I have naturally curly hair and she had to straighten it to see if it was even. She tried to fix it but as I was wearing it this week you can tell it is not even. I am overall just disappointed that I spent $40 on a haircut that looks horrible and isn't even. I had a great experience the first two times I visited this salon. Leslie was my stylist - she was really nice, right on time, and did a great job on my long, thick hair! I referred my Mom to her, and she also did a beautiful job on Mom's short hair. If I'd written my review then, I easily would have given them 5 stars. BUT THEN. The morning of my third appointment, I got a call informing me that Leslie had left and suggesting that I rebook with another stylist. It was right before Christmas and Mom and I needed our hair cut, so I agreed. BIG MISTAKE. The new stylist cut my bangs so short I looked like a 5 year old and also did a terrible job on my Mom's hair. The results were so bad that I emailed the manager and asked her to call me to discuss what had happened. I never heard from her. A few months later, I decided to give the salon one more try and booked a haircut with a different stylist. I arrived on time and was told he would be right with me. After about 5 minutes, he came out and told me the manager had made a mistake in booking the appointment before mine, and I would have to wait about 20-25 minutes while he finished her color. I needed my hair cut, so okay. I sat. And sat. And sat some more (in a very uncomfortable chair). I was just left sitting there - no one else talked to me or gave any updates, so after 45 minutes of waiting, I was done. I left and went home. They must have known about the delay well before I arrived & it would have taken all of 2 minutes to call or text me to arrive an hour later. Nope! Instead, they wasted a good chunk of a beautiful Sunday afternoon for a haircut that never happened. Treatment like that - aside from being incredibly bad customer service - is just downright disrespectful. He is funny, professional, and did an amazing job on my highlights and hair cut. All I gave him was "I want highlights that really lighten my hair, not subtle but not ugly" and he did amazing.
