Very racist practices. Came with a group of White friends. They were all let in free of charge, but I was stopped and charged for entry as the only Black individual. Security argued with me after I brought it up as an issue. Spoke to the manager. He stated that they had cameras everywhere in the club. However, he refused to review the footage at that time to confirm/ deny the situation. Honestly, I'd say overall I've always had a great time here, and it's really the only specifically LGBTQ+ reggaeton club in the city. Yeah, there are other spaces in Boystown that have Latino/reggaeton nights such as Progress for example, but at Fantasy you're pretty much getting Latino music every time you go! Overall I've never had any serious issues here, although I will say that you never know what you're gonna pay for a cover when you show up cause it varies. There was one night more recently where they were charging $60 per person, and we were like NOPE and walked elsewhere, but generally speaking it's usually between a $10 to $20 cover on most weekends nights. It's unfortunate though considering there are a handful of other bars nearby that don't charge a cover. Anyways, I always enjoy my time here. They have two rooms with different music playing so you can bounce back between both rooms depending on the vibe. They do have drag shows here in the back room where the stage is and often times they'll clear the middle of the dance floor area for the drag performances. I've personally never had a bad interaction with the staff or security here so maybe I'm lucky or just easy going, but I feel like it's unfortunate that this place has such low ratings just because of those who complain instead of all the hundreds of other people who always go here and enjoy the safe space. If you want to party in a spot that makes you feel like you are in a risky tourist trap where the employees are out to scam you... this is your spot. Asked the bouncer the cover before getting in line, was told $25, about 25 minutes later while waiting in line , the group in front of us seemed surprised when they were asked to pay a $25 cover and left. I made my way to a dark window- I'd liken it to a haunted house with a very peculiar elderly man that licked his lips at me and demanded $30 despite my party being told $25. $5 isn't really anything that would upset me unless I'm aware I'm being robbed. The older bartender in the back has been charging 50-100+ more on transactions on tips because they know you can't get your money back once it's debited out of your account. Same has happened to my friend. With a credit card you can submit fraud claims and not pay the fraudulent charges. I would keep all your receipts going forward. They charged me $120 for 2 drinks and I can't get my money back. Someone make this make sense. I never open tabs or spend this much in one night here so how is it that I got charged $120.04 for a single transaction. Will be reporting fantasy to the City's Consumer Protection department so that they can open up an investigation on this place. I went here with a group of friends. I wanted to check my and my husbands coats, we asked if they had a coat check, the door man taking your cover told us at 10pm they open coat check. My husband went back at 10pm and checked our coats and got a number. When we decided to leave a hour later I went to the coat check and handed my number to the girl working the counter. She proceeded to ask which coat was mine I told her repeatedly which was my and my husbands coats. She didn't want to give us our belongings and then the manager came out. He said that our coats which one was a fur coat that was over 200$ wasn't ours and not from today. I said my id is in the pocket and he could verify it was mine and he said I don't care they're not yours. He got so hostile and threatened to have me and my husband thrown out of the club for demanding our belongings back. I had to grab the door guy to come and correct this manager that those were ours. This manager should be fired!!!!!! It makes me so sick to think why wouldn't he want to give me back our belongings which had my id and wallet in, when we gave him the number that matched the ticket on the coat hanger. Maybe he wanted to steal the coat after closing! I will not return here ever and cannot stress don't go to this club! The staff and that's management will try to screw you! read more

Brought a group of guys from Ecuador visiting chicago to this Latin gay club. We went on stage to dance and security treated us as if we had committed a serious crime ( ran up to us yelling flashlights out etc ) we got down without argument and decided at that point we would leave. Felt unwelcomed. On our way out the security guards grabbed one of this guys in our group ( visiting Chicago) and harrassed him about his fanny pack. Grabbing it without asking and forcing it open. He searched it and found the guys phone and wallet. I told my friend we should walk outside. As we walked outside the security guard yelled at us " where r u going !!!" I said out for fresh air. He followed us out the door and I told the group " walk fast" . Honestly very scary experience. Get it together. Fire your security company!!! read more

What a way to kill a fun night!!! This is one of the worst clubs I have ever been. The DJ just did a bad work. You can not enjoy a song complete or on its simplicity because the horrible background music (which was used over and over) killed the song. I came on a Saturday where I was expecting a mix of Latin music and all I got for 2 hrs was regetton. When the DJ changed the music some people stood to wait and feel the rhythm and the worst is that the acoustic is just HORRIBLE. Apart of being the biggest latin night club in Chicago, i love the energy this club brings to the atmosphere. I came to celebrate my friend's birthday and had a great time dancing on both floors, the dj's were so upbeat and played different music on each floor.The staff is very polite and prices are reasonable.Though my favorite moment was interacting with the drag queens and taking pictures. read more

I'm Impressed. Out of the ashes of Circuit comes Fantasy Night club. I am impressed with the atmosphere and the actual club. This is what was needed after the old circuit closed down. The dance floor is awesome and it's not only for the gay crowd but now the catering has changed it up. I seen many straight couples having a good time dancing and that says a lot. The resurrection was needed and the drinks are awesome. May I suggest he effen vodka with 7up. Quite the new wave drink. It hits the spot and the bartenders are really knowledgable on mixed drinks, of course which I can be happy about. The new atmosphere and decor is nice so if you want shock value you get it. Now the DJ booth is on the stage directly on the dance floor so I'm no really sure if this is good since it was once the stage for performers, now did this mean it's no longer a stage for performers? I was there from 12:00 am to 4:45 am and someone stole my belongings! The staff did nothing to try to help us! All they did was told us there was nothing they could do. I think it was an inside job. Went there to celebrate my birthday after I showed the security guard my ID I accidentally dropped my wallet but thankfully the girl behind me said she picked it up and gave to one of the security guards. I told the security guard that I had dropped my wallet and that someone gave it to him but he said he didn't have it he then told me to check with the people at coat check but they told me no one had turned it in. While I was asking coat check I saw the girl again and told me to ask the security guy again because she gave it to him so I went to ask once again and he said he didn't have it. At this point I was frustrated so I asked two of the security guards to speak to a supervisor and that supervisor never showed up. Later on one of the security guards came back and told me to check coat check once again which I did and magically my wallet had showed up. I asked to get it back which I did but my cash was gone. I was over charged for two drinks $18 for a vodka soda and a corona. When I asked the bartender (Clemente) how much are your drinks he said "You think I'm stealing your money?" Also, he was so drunk and was being disrespectful to the customers. He started throwing ice at them and yelling at them.
