I was looking for a fun hotel for a YEG staycation and Fantasyland Hotel seemed like a no brainer. It's not cheap but you are really paying for the theme. I went for the Roman room, it's ridiculous, hilarious and just fun. It has columns, a mural of a Roman scene on the wall, statue of Venus by the Jacuzzi and a round bed. Those features alone gave this an extra star, without them I think this hotel would be a 3 star. the curtains were dusty, the stool in the room looked dirty, one of the mugs was also dirty, the linens and bathroom items just didn't seem to be of 4 star quality to me. I noted in the booking that it was my husband's birthday, there was a birthday card and chocolates from the hotel left in the room for him. That was nice touch and it was over and above. We ordered the breakfast to come in the am - it was on time, and very nice. But it was standard hotel breakfast... I guess the hotel just didn't blow me away. The rooms are fun and I do want to stay in the space theme room - that looks amazing. It was great to not have to worry about carrying a winter jacket and all the gear when walking around the mall!! We got two free passes for the Water Park or Galaxyland with our stay so that was a winner! read more

I am excited to tell you about how the Fantasyland Hotel helped me solve a problem that I have been struggling with. I was looking for a hotel where I could act out my favourite scene of my favourite episode of the TV show 'Rome' with a certain level of authenticity. It's not easy to find an establishment with a bigass jacuzzi, statues, a round king-sized canopy bed, Roman column pillars, and free wifi. The Fantasyland came through for me with their Roman Theme room on the 11th floor. I've only seen the first episode of 'Rome' so by default, it's my favourite. And yes, I'm referring to the bath scene. They provide a small bottle of bubble bath for the jacuzzi. Don't do what we did, which was to pour the whole bottle in. The jets in the tub keep cranking out more and more bubbles which overflow onto the carpet making their way to the door. Me and my jacuzzi partner (who is also my wife) had to keep grabbing armloads of suds and blowing them towards the back of the tub so our neighbours wouldn't think we were running a laundromat. It looked like we were building an igloo. The theme rooms are fun but expensive. We took advantage of a limited time promotion called "Fall Into Fantasy" which consists of a theme room with a bottle of wine and an in-room movie for $198. We weren't the only festive couple that took advantage of this deal. We were awakened at 2:30 in the morning by our upstairs neighbours who were very . . . enthusiastic about their time together. At least the woman was; the guy wasn't making any noise at all. So yeah, the walls are kind of hollow there. The security is a bit lacking in the hotel too. Since it is attached to the mall anyone can gain access to the hallways from the first and second floors of WEM until 9 PM. After this time the hotel elevators require you to swipe a room card to gain access to the upper floors. I would only rent the theme rooms when they are running a special deal. They are normally pricey and not worth the extra cash. If the lady that stayed in the room above us is reading this - I'm glad you had a good time too. Extremely disappointed with this hotel. I don't consider myself a complainer and it takes a lot for me to bash a company. For a family that stays in hotels quite a bit, this hotel has been by far the worst experience from the moment we walked in till we left. The entrance and lobby was filthy, there was garbage and chips all over the place. A 1/2h wait to check in just to find out our room was not ready till 6:30PM (2 hrs. after guaranteed check-in). The elevators cannot keep up to guests, some people waited 45 mins to access an elevator, not everyone can use stairs. Rooms are not worth how pricey they are, outdated, our jacuzzi had other peoples hair in it. We had two rooms, one was booked through cc points, they accidently charged us for that room, when I called to clear up the confusion the staff were very disrespectful before they even pulled up my file. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone till they can figure out their flaws. read more

I used the Fantasyland Hotel's banquet hall on a recent business trip. When I arrived at the hotel to set up the room, they had no knowledge of our reservation and insisted that we had placed the reservation for a week prior, on a different day. Now, while the banquet manager handled the situation well (he had the room set up and let us use it for our seminar) the whole experience was a little sour. The staff seemed rushed and frantic - as though we were SEVERELY inconveniencing them. When I asked for an extension cord, the coordinator rolled her eyes at me. There was construction happening in the adjacent room, and it severely disrupted the presentation. And get this... when one of my participants went to the bathroom, the cleaning attendant told him he should use the urinal instead of the stall so he wouldn't have to clean up. While my seminar was saved and everything worked out well, I don't think we'll be using the Fantasyland Banquet Halls anymore. read more

The Fantasyland Hotel is fun. I'm going to be honest and say that it's also very cheesy, but I think we could all use a bit more cheese in our lives. I love the Roman room. It's like a condensed Caesar's Palace. And the jacuzzi is amazing. We had a party here with a group of friends and it was a lot of fun. We fit quite a few people in that jacuzzi! The theme rooms are all pretty cool and they make your stay a bit of an adventure. The regular rooms at Fantasyland are pretty nice too. We had a party in one of them as well and it was actually really nice. And yes, I do other things than go to hotel parties. My cousins are too young to go to bars so they have hotel parties. And Fantasyland is a good place to have them! read more

When we went to check-in we had a very pleasant Chinese man help us. We asked for adjoining rooms and he gave us what we asked for on the 2nd highest floor too!!! WOW! Great customer service. We were always greeted very pleasantly from all staff from the elevator to the hallways. Our rooms were spic and span and they smelled really clean. The beds were comfy. The pillows were flat and flimsy but they provide 4 pillows per bed plus an extra with a sham. The only downside is that you can really see the age of the hotel because it was built in the 80's. The hallways are worn down and smell a little bit but it's not like you're sleeping there anyway. Also room service food wasn't that great, but at least they were very fast. It only took 20 minutes for our dinner and our breakfast the next morning. What a great place to stay if you're planning on doing all the activities West Ed has to offer!! We went to Galaxyland and World Waterpark and loved the convenience of not having to drive anywhere the entire stay!! Overall, great price for a great hotel experience!! I'd recommend it!! read more

Buffets are the best here. Very clean and nice washrooms, rooms are spacious and nice with great catering usually great for conferences and meetings. If you dont like the buffets there are other restaurants near by to check out. read more

I stayed here for 10 days in the luxury Roman room , cabin room, Arabian room, Polynesian Room,African Room, Igloo Room and the regular Roman room. Our family decided to get stay here for 2 nights since we were going to the water park. The couch/twin bed was great in the room so all 5 of us had a nice place to sleep. This full service hotel had a great concierge that took all our luggage to the car and even packed it. The bed was not bad but was not the best I ever slept on at a hotel but we got a good night sleep. Room was clean and everything worked great. Price was right and worth it being at the mall. We parked the car and left it there for the 2 days! No need to drive. My only thought was it would have been nice if they had a separate walkway to the water park so we did not have to walk through the mall. We will be back read more

Spent two nights staying in the fantasyland and in all honesty probably would not go back. Firstly, we were asked to refrain from checking in before 4pm. Upon arriving at 5pm we were told the room was still not ready and had to wait an additional 30 minutes before allowed to go up. This wasn't a huge issue for us, but considering guests are suppose to leave at 12pm on their last day I find it a little odd 5 hours is needed to get around to cleaning the room. The main reason I don't believe I will be returning is the rooms. Sure the room we got was big (two beds and a couch/ futon, two TV's, w/ jacuzzi tub) and the staff were very nice, but the rooms themselves were so outdated and the cleanliness of the jacuzzi was questionable. We ended up filling it and leaving it running for 45 min before draining it to make sure it was clean. After seeing the water left behind a yellow watermark and black flecks at the bottom of the tub, no one could be convinced to go in. The beds were comfortable (I slept on the couch, which unfortunately was not), and the shower was pretty cramped. To be honest I completely understand I'm being picky, but for 500$ a night I was really expecting more. We didn't even end up using the complimentary water park passes because the pool itself just looked gross. Still giving the Fantasyland 3 stars for their excellent staff, but generally the hotel was meant for families with very young children or couples looking for a getaway, not a family with teenagers. read more

My husband was returning from a Tour of duty in Kuwait, and I wanted to do something different and romantic. We had not been together for Christmas, birthdays, or our anniversary, I booked the Luxury Roman theme room for a few nights. I had also added a "romantic" package to the booking. Check-in / check-out was quick and painless. Located in West Edmonton mall made it convenient to check out all the amenities/restaurants/entertainment it had to offer. I was nervous when we got to the room, I had this vision in my head and I was worried I would be disappointed. Disappointment could not be further from what we both felt walking through the doors? It was like walking on to movie set. The room was big and amazingly decorated, very well maintained and very clean! Romance was very much alive in the room. The huge jacuzzi tub was surrounded with rose petals and a chilled sparkling wine with champagne flutes and aroma bath items awaited us. Our overall experience was amazing! We enjoyed our stay here, from the very clean, super comfortable room, to the staff who were great, and very courteous and pleasant. Definitely, would/will recommend, if you are looking for a unique adventure, the Fantasyland Hotel is where it is at! read more

Where to stay when on a mini vacation when you want to maximize vacation time and minimize travel time. Why West Edmonton Mall of coarse. With so much to see, do and eat for most Edmontonians it's a bit of a no brainer. This weekend was a gals getaway. No kids, no husband, no house cleaning...perfect. We stayed in a regular room on the fifth floor and I have to say it was a bit of a disappointment, especially considering the $250/night price tag on the room. For on everything is pretty out dated. From the carpet and wallpaper in both the hallway corridors and rooms to the fact that there is not convenient place to charge your phone... super annoying. The room itself was clean and larger then most hotels but with its lack of lighting and hideous decor it felt drabby. The beds and pillows are comfortable enough and tv was nice in large. We were planning in going to the theater to see a movie in the evening but our aching feet from an all day shopping spree helped us decide to just watch a pay per view movie instead. We were both shocked to see that they charge $18 for movies that you can probably see on Netflix. Crazy right. If it wasn't for the convenience I would say that I wouldn't be back. If I had to guess I would say this hotel is rated as a three star hotel. read more

I was looking forward to attending the Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton and was disappointed in many things. The thing that was good was that our igloo room looked amazing. Otherwise, the management was rude and there were many complications involved with getting our room when we had booked and thought that we had payed online. The manager Christopher even rolled his eyes at me. When we finally got to the room after an hour and many phone calls, and the jacuzzi would not work not matter how long we waited. Even called a mechanic up. Then the tv would glitch after 10 minutes and continued to do this everytime we turned it on and off. When we woke up and checked out with having paid 300 dollars for a room that we barely got to use all the facilities of, we only got 80 dollars back. Do not recommend. Also the wifi is the malls wifi not the hotels so good luck getting a connection. read more

Pretty fun experience! We wanted to stay in the mall this time since we decided to not rent a car. The staff was all very helpful and nice, and we got to stay in two themed suites. The Polynesian room was funny and classy even though it had tikis everywhere and fake plants it was very luxurious. The roman room was much more to my liking because the Polynesian room was so dark all the time even with all the lights on. The roman room was really hot though, we had the ac on lowered to 15 the entire two days there and it never cooled the room, this in mid sept when it's not even that warm outside and we slept every night under sheets only. We had room service and it was excellent, and quick! Free wifi, and the softest best towels I've seen in so long at hotels. Even better than Westins etc! read more

Stayed for the first time at Fantasy Land Hotel. We had a themed room - Stage Coach. The room cost, including all the taxes, $400. The location is fantastic. My husband and I did a staycation. We were able to shop, go for food, mini golf, have some drinks, and head to the rec room without having to worry about getting home or carrying jackets. The room itself is rather dated. There are scratches, water damage, holes, and the shower floor did t feel secure. For $400, I would expect the rooms to be kept up a lot better. It was nice having the juccuzi in the room. One thing that we didn't notice from the photos is the amount of mirrors in the room... everywhere. They were above the bed, on the walls, around a whole side of the juccuzi. Not going to lie, I wasn't a huge fan of it. It was nice that you get passes for either water park or Galaxyland. I am guessing that's why the price is astronomical. I am glad that we stayed in a themed room once but I really don't think I would again. read more

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. We had chosen the Roman room to spend a family vacation all together so we could enjoy the attractions the West Edmonton Mall has to offer. The room was a complete disgusting mess. The bedding was so dirty it was so gross to sleep in. It was so dusty and dirty everywhere. And under one of the bunk beds in the room, there was a huge pile of sticky gum. It was so dirty on the floors you couldn't even walk with just socks you needed shoes on. The food at the breakfast buffet was okay, but it tasted old instead of fresh. Overall I will never stay at this fantasy hotel ever again. Worst experience ever in my entire life. Too over priced for what you get. The rooms look way much cleaner and nicer in the pictures. Now you can see why I would call it shitty land inside of Fantasy land. read more

I have to say that I am really disappointed with this hotel as I was charged $483.00 for a Theme Room that was far from up to par. I rented the Truck Room and the water spout on the Jacuzzi was loose and the lights on the row bar on the truck were hanging down by the electrical cord and not bolted down. The electrical on the lights didn't work either. This was a night stay for my sons 10th birthday and it was very disappointing that he did not get to experience the full truck room the way it is supposed to function at. I have stayed in this room before and this all worked. I reported this to the front desk and told the agent that I shouldn't have to pay full price for a defective room and she agreed and said that she would have the manager call us when he got back. I told her that I did not want maintenance to come up as i was putting my two kids to bed. Then the manager calls the room phone at 9:30pm and wakes the kids up and sends maintenance anyways. Nothing was done to compensate us about the price and the troubles with the room made it less exciting for the family stay. read more

I helped organize a professional workshop that was hosted by the Fantasyland Hotel, in their upper level ballrooms. I have stayed in rooms in the Fantasyland Hotel as a child, and had heard of weddings being hosted here, but I had never considered them for professional events. The planning committee was pleased with the event, and the Fantasyland is one of the better venues I have attended. They were responsive when putting together the contract, and had wide variety of reasonably priced food options for our meals. The food itself was also really good, some of the best food I've ever had at a hosted workshop, and with fun choices like ice cream sandwiches for afternoon break time. The ballroom we were in was large and comfortable, and vendors were easily positioned around the room. The AV worked well, and staff members were available to help us set up the podium and answer questions about things like microphones, and switching video inputs. I'd definitely consider the Fantasyland for future events, and would easily recommend them. Plus, being in the mall is a fun bonus for doing some shopping at the end of the day! read more

I stayed here before and its so much fun! Each level of the hotel is different theme rooms. So they got Rome, Victorian, Hawaiian, etc. It was so much fun staying here. I stayed in the Rome and Hawaiian level and I must say it was interesting. In Rome we had a huge hot tube in our room, there was mirrors everywhere even on the ceiling. Our bed was shape in a circle. In the Hawaiian room, they made the bed into like a boat and the hot tub has a waterfall. It was alot of fun and pretty cool. There is a tour you can take and they show you all the rooms. They even have an Igloo room. The bell hop thought we were crazy since we took the elevator to each floor just to see, because all the themes start once you get off the elevator. The service was terrible right from check in. Our room wasn't ready at 3:15 so they said they'd call us by 4 or when our room was ready and they never did. When we checked in finally, we weren't given all of the info we needed and when we finally got to our room we found someone else's dirty socks by our bed. Gross!!! We won't be back. read more

We used a holiday gift deal that was a night in a theme room and free breakfast ($169). We stayed in the Roman room with the round bed (total win, I want a round bed now, BADLY) and marble columns. We totally took advantage of the jacuzzi...it was quite a romantic night. The breakfast was really tasty and they had something for everyone. I think my partner actually drank about 10 cups of coffee...so it must have been worthy. The best is that you can go wander around the mall and then not have to worry about driving home! As a local Edmontonian, I can't believe it took me so long to get here but now that I have had the experience, I would do this again in a heartbeat! read more

this is attached to the mall....a hotel attached to the mall. i don't know why you'd want that but it's rather convenient if all you came to edmonton was the mall. i suppose there are outside activities.....but I'm not here for that. as sad as it is, i'd probably be here for the mall too. last I checked the night life wasn't anything to write home about either with that being said..things must be really bad for me to go all the way up there to check out their las vegas like mall attached hotel. I'm all for themed hotels despite how tacky they are - after all you're not there to live but to act out a certain....."fantasy" if you will. now only if they had a sex suite. but I guess the roman suite would be the closest they would have to it mirrors and all ;D read more

Wow, where am I? Possibly some time in the '80s, except then everything wouldn't be so flaked and cracked and falling apart. It was a last minute splurge, since it was close to where I needed to be, and I didn't have anywhere else to go. I figured, why not? Was it expensive? Sure. Sure it was incredibly, overly expensive. I bet it is very hard to NOT have super over priced rooms there. I knew this before I went in. I made my peace. I had a single bed, single jacuzzi room in the Polynesian suite. The hallway had a nice Polynesian theme, with trees and a volcano moulded by the elevators. Low ceilings, which I non-sarcastically, actually do like. Then I checked into my room. The room was... fine. Small, with a crappy mural and what was suppose to be, I can only assume, the front of a lopsided boat coming from behind the bed. I don't entirely understand what they were going for with that. The bed had some nice pillars and fancy sides, but was IT suppose to be a boat? Then why the front of another boat behind it? It didn't really make sense. The sheets were so rough I was bestowed with abrasions upon my midsection. But at least they were completely, boringly white, with only a tiny slash of a little decorative sheet which went along with the decor of the room. It really helped to make me feel entirely out of place. The bathtub/jacuzzi was better. Situated in fake rocks, when you turn it on a bit of rock above fills up and eventually starts pouring into the tub. Not high or nice enough to be a sort of waterfall or shower type thing, but enjoyable enough to look at, as it fills. The roar is a bit deafening, especially since you cannot turn the volume on the television up past a certain point, but it's fine. Actually, when the jacuzzi was on, I was trying to watch a movie, but the jets were just so loud that I could either do one or the other. The tub also seemed to have a faulty plug and would continuously drain no matter what. I had the perception that the jacuzzi would be more like a hot tub, but it was not. The water is whatever temperature you make it, and considering that it is a huge tub you have to fill with a hot and cold tap, it's a bit difficult to get the water just right. I filled it up with hot and a touch of cold, only to find it chilled easily. I decreased water and added more hot, but at that volume I really should have just rerun the entire bath. Still, it was fairly relaxing. I should have, perhaps, dumped in the small bottle of body wash provided, to experience some bubbles. That would have been a delightful time. I did eat food and drink whilst sitting in the tub, which was rather relaxing, all things considered. I also quite liked the red "sex light" over the tub. I was alone, but they reminded me that this is, possibly, a place that people could use to "have a good time." I have, at one time, stayed in whatever theme the room with the igloo is. The snowy peaks by the jacuzzi were very well worn. I believe there was a statue of an animal whose head was threatening to cave in. I think, perhaps, these theme rooms could do with a makeover. Don't ditch them altogether (although you may want to reconsider the "truck" theme), but spruce them up some. It could be an exciting thing, for children and the like. read more

Every Edmonton gal who grew up on Cinderalla stories has dreamt of staying at the Fantasyland Hotel in West Edmonton Mall. Which theme room would you choose? I always wanted to stay in the Roman room with sweeping veiled drapes, white pillars and a giant canopy bed. Then I grew up and realized it was kind of cheesy, like slow-dancing at school events with the principal watching or "fine-dining" at Red Lobster - still my partner and I decided to live out the fantasy just for kicks. So what would our theme be? The igloo room, or the girly suite with the heart-shaped tub? My persuasive powers won out, and we cracked a bottle of bubblies among the suds on our anniversary, then later examined our prune feet amid a scattering of rose petals. I'd never get married at the West Ed chapel or have my reception at a mall venue, as I've seen done before. But a novel night at the Fantasyland hotel - on any evening but my honeymoon - why the heck not? Hotel rooms cost so much, and they're usually quite boring and plain. At least this is a little more exciting for what you pay - over $250. read more

I've visited Fantasyland twice, once in the Roman themed room and once in the Hollywood Nights room. The Roman themed one felt very royal to me, with a big round bed and a statue in the middle of the room. The Hollywood Nights room featured a stripper pole and very sleek furniture meant to make you feel like a superstar celebrity. Both were pretty cool! The only downside to the Hollywood Nights room (at least the one I had) is that it had a window from where the bed was to the toilet of the bathroom for some reason? So while you were sitting in bed and looked over to your right, you could see right where the toilet was in the bathroom, meaning you could watch someone do their business... awkward! Don't understand why the window was there in the first place and it made things really uncomfortable. Prices are also pretty high up there too, and unfortunately I don't remember getting any outstanding service or anything extra for the prices I paid. read more

I love to stay at Fantasyland the staff are awesome and the rooms are amazing!!! But there are two things that keep me from giving the hotel a five!!!! One really expensive WiFi I think that hotel should give you that for free!!! Two really slow elevators when you are there for a conference it makes it hard to get anywhere read more

We had booked 2 nights for our 20 year ......worst idea i have ever had ..... rooms over priced but thought it would be nice ..... rooms are old and have not changed ..... stayed here for our 10 year...... tvs are out dated ...... they didnt tell us about water shut down during the day from 12 to 4...... took them 2 hours to clean room ...... we didnt make a mess...then the tv didnt work at all...... had us change rooms ..... then new room tv only worked for tv but could not order movies to room...... all they would do for all the isues we had took off 40 ..... and kept trying to give us free breakfast for the problems......when it is over 400 a night you should be able to enjoy everything in your room........ i spend most of my time in hotels and this is by far the worst stay i have had.would not recomend for any one to stay there ..... i know i wont be read more

Drove 13 hours up for a business trip to be greeted without a smile or any welcoming words. Front desk agents were very rude, didn't feel they care about you as a guest. The lady didn't want to do any room change but just charge you $338 a night and send you off. Was not informed that the Internet charges is only for "1" device. When I called the front desk or housekeeping for shower caps no one answered the phone for 10 mins. Wow this hotel really strives to work above industry standards. Just a total horrible experience, the fact of the matter is word of mouth can turn a business either way...will definitely NOT recommend anyone to stay at this overpriced hotel with bad customer service reps who likes to argue and insist on their own little nose up in the air culture. read more

This place just looks and feels cheap. I could see it being an appeal like 20 years ago but standards have changed. The front desk being located in the mall? really? I had to go talk to the desk but had to deal with all the drunks in the mall as well, it was after midnight. Some wanted to fight etc, just brutal. There needs to be just a hallway with a door to get into the hotel part but that door needs to be locked and only accessable by hotel patrons. I dont even want to mention the meal I had, the table cloth was gulp, looked like it had pubic hairs all over it. BARF....Just overall bad experience with an inflated price. Totally not worth it. We've been in African themed room with bunk bed for 2 kids. Among all the excitement about jacuzzi and decor and of course easy walk to watermark and galaxy land, they had a few flaws, which are unacceptable for room for 450$/night. At first "high speed internet" was weak and disruptive in real, we couldn't talk on Skype and sometimes my IPad didn't even see a network at all. The second - no bottle water for the second day of stay. The cleaning wasn't good - still felt messy and i found 2 chewing gums under sink in a bathroom while playing hide-and-seek with my daughter. Moreover, they left two dirty glasses on our table after finished wine. Why would we need 2 dirty glasses next day??? No way I would pay this price for this service anymore, although we had quite good time and desk stuff was very friendly. read more

Checked in at fantasyland. We booked a modern Polynesian room. We were able to check in early which was great as we had passes to go to the waterpark. The rate to stay at the hotel is great if you can get some attraction passes. We got two passes which goes a long way to limit costs. Our stay at the hotel wasn't as happy as we thought it was going to be, we got a themed room on the 9th floor, 914 to be exact. It was nice, but not worth it for us. It was just my spouse & I and the bed was comfy but I went to the bathroom, the toilet seat & under the toilet seat were dirty. I used to work in housekeeping but this is bad. I get your a busy hotel but just remind your housekeepers. Otherwise it was okay. read more

We had a very enjoyable stay. We stayed in the Polynesian themed room. Be careful of the hot tub it's hard to get in out of. All the staff We're helpful and friendly. Skip the breakfast buffet not worth the money. read more

I check in this hotel thinking of convenience but i was difinitly wrong cause housekeeping will be knocking on your door by 9 am checking if your family check out for them to clean the room they have a noon check out but i guess their just rude for you to leave for their next guest. My 4 and 2 year old just wake up am pissed at the housekeeping department and don't recommend this hotel for families. I never experienced a hotel with housekeeping knocking on doors at 9 am for you to check out not satisfied same woman come back again at 10 asking if were checking out already am one if the person stick with time i check in at 4 pm so i know check out time is at noon and not 9 am. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would . I booked a theme room for my husbands birthday when I booked, the person on the reservation line mentioned there is renovations going on but that should not effect me . I get a phone call just 4 days before my booking that the floor the room is on is out of service for "maintenance " . At this point I was obviously disappointed because we came to celebrate and the main reason I even booked here was because of the room I do not normally ask for a deal or compensation but at this point I did because it really did suck that this was happening and I wanted something to make up for the inconvenience . They gave me, I believe $10-$15 off ( big deal) they did offer me Galaxyland passes ( I'm not bringing my children just hubby and myself ) I did tell her this as I am looking to have something special for my husband . I asked very nicely if they could dress up the room as they have a package you could do flower peddles in the room . The representative said they couldn't do that for me. I think in a Situation like this you would go above and beyond for your clients especially since the issue is on their end. I booked a theme room months ago for the Valentines weekend, and confirmed a couple of weeks in advance only to have them tell me that the theme room was suddenly "no longer available" They did give me another room but when we got back from dinner we discovered that they did not place the rose petals in the room that I had requested and paid an extra $95.00 for. That money was also refunded but the night was ruined and the staff were frankly not helpful in resolving matters. I would not stay here again, as I would simply not trust them to get things right for me. read more

NOT handicapped friendly. We rented what they call a handicapped accessible room. All they've done is taken a standard room and added two grab bars in the bathroom. Not even close to being accessible. The room has two queen size beds, which means there is little room left to maneuver around. The bathroom is narrow and can't possibly accommodate a wheelchair. A walker fits, but only if you don't have to turn around. One of the grab bars is in the bathtub, which is a high wall soaker tub. Completely impossible to get into, or out of. So there is, effectively, only one usable grab bar in the room. One day someone will get hurt trying to "make do" with this room. Then there will be lawsuits. When I complained at the front desk, is was told; "Yea, everybody complains about it". read more
