The sun was setting and it was so beautiful it was almost not real. Then came our waitress Gaja the daughter. She is very elegant and extremely knowledgeable about the wines and the menu for the evening. I inquired about all the pictures of the Dogs on the wall and she informed me of the Netflix special on their restaurant called Ice on the Lake. Season 1 Episode 3. The father Alessandro sets out in the morning a 100 meters from the Restaurant to catch the fish in nets on Lake Como with his dog Ice. It is a wonderful place run by such a neat family working very hard to provide a memorable experience we will never forget. Thank you, Alessandro, Rosy and Gaja!!!

If local Italians eat here, you know it's a good, authentic restaurant. We were sat upstairs close to the big window and had a wonderful view of the lake. We each ordered the Lake Fish Tasting Menu that comes with: -Starter with four small bites: fried crunchy fish ball, fried fish fillet, Lake Fish mousse, and marinated Lake Fish -Main course: Risotto with Lake Fish -Second course: Lake Como White fish breaded and grilled -Dessert: Lemon Sorbet The price (in July 2024) was 42 euros per person and it was a great deal for all the food included. We also enjoyed a bottle of refreshing white wine which I didn't get the name of. We heard about this restaurant from the Netflix show called Dogs, featuring Ice, a Golden Retriever who helped his owner fish in Lake Como. We were heartbroken to hear from the owner's daughter, Gaia, that Ice had passed a few months ago at 15 years old. There were lots of pictures of him all over the restaurant which was so awesome to see! If you are visiting Bellagio, I highly recommend eating here for authentic seafood. *Make sure to get a reservation beforehand* Shout out to Gaia and Daniella for the wonderful service and providing us with a great experience!

It wasn't very busy and everyone there was Italian. The waitress didn't speak English and there was no English menu. Our meal was delightful. My husband and I each had a pasta dish. Both were delicious, simple, homestyle italian cooking with very fresh ingredients. It was the perfect first lunch on our vacation. The atmosphere is so relaxing. There is an outdoor terrace with a partial view on the lake and no one else is around because it is not located in a touristy area. Prices were excellent. I wish we could have eaten there again before we left. I definitely recommend it for those who are looking for great authentic casual Italian food. Yum!!

He and his sous chefs Jacob and Michael are true professionals. Lucca was able to adapt to our kitchen without missing a beat. For the cooking class, he taught us how to prepare: fresh pesto, handmade pasta (tagliatelle), branzzino, calamari, bruschetta, mussels and clams, and a beautiful chocolate cake. For the private dinner, he prepared: smoked tuna, octopus salad, seared fish and tiramisu. We also ate at their restaurant which was homely and very local. The menu is not in English, a good sign! Highly recommend eating at their restaurant at the very least!

Our server, whose last name was Silvio, is a part of that family history. He was pushy and a bit bossy about what we should and shouldn't order, what we could and couldn't drink, and flat out overrode us on a number of our choices. The only thing he was wrong about was the rabbit ragout, and he saw how disappointed we were when he bullied us into not ordering it...that he said he had made an extra one for us "by mistake," in effect giving us a pricey but free dish. The food was extraordinary. The standouts were the rice and fish as well as the rabbit. The desserts were also delicious. The joint specializes in fish, so get as much of that as you can.

The friendly staff apologized and recommended restaurant Silvio, they said the food was amazing and that they would still be open. When we arrived at the restaurant it was now 9:50, the restaurant was about to close at 10pm. The friendly and accommodating staff did not hesitate for one moment and graciously welcomed our party of 5 to a table. They encouraged us to place our orders since the kitchen would be closing soon. We never once felt rushed, the friendly staff chatted with us and shared a laugh or two while offering plate recommendations. That is not even the best part, the food began to arrive and we quickly realized just how amazing this dinner was going to be. My husband and I shared the fried fish over rice as it's for two, absolutely delicious! My daughters ordered the tagliatelle with tomato sauce with cheese (omg wow! My 4 year old devoured the plate without a word!) my lucky husband was given a bite and said it was the best pasta he's ever had. My other daughter aged 6 ordered the white fish special they had and it was cooked perfectly and every bite was full of flavor. My mother ordered the suckling pig, slow roasted for countless hours, melts in your mouth, bursting with flavor and the most amazing sauce. My mom usually hates sauce, always asks for it on the side and usually never eats it. She practically licked the plate. As if that wasn't enough, we ordered the crème brûlée, chocolate molten cake, their famous vanilla gelato with tangerine flavors and apple crumble desserts. Thank goodness we were able to walk off our food. We are only here for a few days and with all of the amazing restaurant choices we can't wait to come back. Do yourself a favor and have the best experience at restaurant Silvio!

We found this restaurant through Google Reviews and generally had high hopes, but were blown away by the experience. We ordered salads to share, drinks, and pasta before a tiramisu - I went for a seafood pasta (see pictures) and negroni. We definitely could have avoided getting the two salads; portions were massive and we ended up not finishing either salad. My main course was delicious. The pasta had a zesty, fresh flavor between the lemon, olive oil, parsley and tomato, but the welcome surprise was seeing mounds of mussels, clams and shrimp inside the dish (I'm from New York and expected maybe 10 total) that took me almost 5 minutes to deshell before I went to town on it. Cocktails were excellent - hard to see from the photos but huge and delicious. Resulted in a great midday buzz. Limoncello spritz was also good but perhaps too strong for a lunchtime drink. Other courses ordered: - Lamb ravioli - Had 1-2 bites and tasted good, but probably a 3.5-4. Not really up to my palate and compared to my own entree, hard to beat :) - Carbonara - Solid. Incredibly rich and this was an entree where the large portions actually hurt more than helped - Salads - Hard to tell bc I was full of pasta Minor ding if anything is the ambiance. It's a block or so away from the crazy shore of Como but still was getting a bit loud by the time we left. Not a real complaint and didn't affect our experience, but if you're looking for a more quiet and relaxed experience you might want to go to a less touristy area. Thank you for a lovely meal!

We saw La Lanterna on our first night thought we have to give it a try while we were here. The next night we walked by and the was a table outside in the stairs. OK, it does not talk much to excite us but this was awesome. Enjoying our meal while watching people walk by and walk by. A lot of people walk by and look et you. So if you are self conscious ask to sit inside. They have a basic menu of pasta and at first we thought, "this will not be enough food." It was plenty and so flavorful. In our four weeks of travel in Italy and Greece, this was my most memorable and tasty meal. No hesitation. Just a cute little restaurant with a great eating experience.

Just barely beating the rush, we were given a lovely table inside and could enjoy the artsy decor--loved the flat wine bottle art, just wish it wasn't so expensive. 60 euros with the current exchange rate is a bit much especially that I was wary of being able to get it home safely! My mom went with the minestrone and she raved about it the rest of the trip! I dipped some of my bread in it and agree that it was quite good and that's not normally a soup I care for. The rest of us somehow all got lasagna and most of us enjoyed it, though one of the group found it too "creamy." I would agree that I do like a bit more mozzarella on my lasagna, but that could also be an American thing and not "authentic." Really the only negative here was having to go all the way downstairs to pay my bill. The restaurant isn't very big yet it was not the easiest journey and the wait down there was a bit long. Otherwise a great experience!
