Sadly, my most recent round of TMS was a completely different experience and ultimately led me to leave the practice. Before starting this round, I discussed being treated for a different condition than in prior years, and Dr. Nangia agreed to it. However, at my first appointment he seemed to forget that discussion and initially prepared to treat me for the other condition. I had to remind him of our prior conversation, which immediately made me concerned about communication and quality of care. As treatment continued, I had repeated issues with responsiveness and follow-through. For my remapping appointment, I was set up in the chair only to learn that Dr. Nangia was not in the office and I would need to return the next day. I was constantly reminded of the fact that they charge for missed appointments but when he didn't show up to my appointment, I didn't even get an apology. It's frustrating that they don't seem to hold themselves to the same standards expected of patients. When I raised concerns about treatment progress, there were many delays in getting responses for adjustment requests. Everyday it was a new medical assistant who would treat me, so I had to explain the situation repeatedly. Each day they told me they were waiting to hear back from him thru the patient portal and changes often took several days despite the limited number of insurance approved sessions I had left. What frustrated me most was not feeling heard during important discussions about my care. When I questioned the treatment plan, I did not feel my concerns were fully addressed. In fact, at one point I felt intimidated by the way Dr. Nangia spoke to me and I felt pressured to agree to a plan I had concerns with. I understand that ultimately the physician has final say on medical decisions, but I also believe patients should feel empowered, respected, and comfortable with the treatment plan. I do not blame the medical assistants. Everyone I interacted with was intelligent, polite and professional. My concerns are primarily about communication, responsiveness, and what felt like a significant decline in the personalized care the practice once provided. When treatment concluded, I discussed with Dr. Nangia some of my frustrations with the delays and breakdowns that occurred. He thanked me for the feedback but offered no resolution, so I asked to be referred elsewhere. Less than an hour later, I get a message in their patient portal stating that he is no longer my provider, along with some referrals. Upon examination, some of the referrals didn't appear to be a good match for my treatment needs and history. I was hoping they could provide some help with the transition process but I had to figure it out myself. I'm still grateful for the help Dr. Nangia gave me during difficult periods earlier in my life, which makes this experience especially disappointing. After ten years as a patient, I no longer felt confident continuing my care there. I recently finished TMS treatment successfully with another provider, so leaving this practice was the correct decision for me.

I did not receive a call back with a question for the clinician. Per the front office staff, I would see Dr. NANGIA during first appointment, which was a ONE MINUTE face front to state some supplements which I already took, per the online EPIC info. The front desk staff are a lovely group, BUT no one else met expectations of solid mental health care. And by the way, I do have university background to make that assessment.

They made her sign a document and suggested some test saying they are covered. Later during billing had bills of around 400$ when we have everything covered for routine checkup. They have unnecessary phone call to tell about the lab report which can be just an email. They charged 220$ for a 5 min phone call. Never had such experience.

Dr. Thomas Becker was abusive towards me. He talked about me…read morein public to another person while he saw me several years later at a cafe in Downtown Mtn. View during the busy lunch hours which was embarrassing because there was actually people I knew there that were in hearing distance. I knew him when he was practicing in Mtn. View, but later he moved his office to Los Altos. I have tried to write negative reviews about him only to get them deleted. During those times some other reviewer would magically pop up and call me mentally ill and tried to devalue my claims. Because as we all well know doctors never mistreat patients, and you know how competitive rival doctors are, and how people make up stories even after you treat them well, especially the mentally ill ones, etc... He told the other person which I am assuming was another doctor, that he was "a little insensitive" towards me. The other person who was an older man said he should not blame himself, and that I would have turned out bad anyway. They said a few things I could not hear, but the other older man told Dr. Becker that he should have given my money back. Which Dr. Becker responded by saying he earned that money... Dr. Becker also told the other person that I was weak and that my mom was crazy. He seemed to blame his bad behavior which was far from "a little insensitive" on us rather than himself. He was a highly paid doctor who did not except insurance. He charged us eight hundred for either thirty or 50 minutes at that time, and trust me it was to the minute. Dr. Becker constantly berated and told me bad things about myself. He gave me the wrong medication and he definitely was more than "a little insensitive". He argued, shouted, and talked down to me. He told me I was weak, crazy, and a blank, even though I had never dated anyone. I am Asian and this might have been some of the reasons he lacked empathy towards me. I had faced a lot of abuse in my life. It took me a long time to recover, but Dr. Becker certainly did not help me. I think it is funny that he thinks I am weak and he is not. There is something wrong when doctors blame those for not handling medical mistreatment well. It's funny what drugging someone and verbally abusing an already abused person can do. This was not human error where we all have bad days, or normal by any extent.. Please allow me to have justice, and keep this online. I think I am owed this much for how much suffering he put me through. Also, Dr. Becker is guilty period. Please stop trying to make him feel better as he does not deserve it.

I saw Dr. Becker because I've been off medications for over 6 months and feel great…read more Sadly, my ex-wife is trying to use my one off diagnosis from 2005 against me in a child custody battle in court so I went to Dr. Becker for an evaluation He said that he would evaluate me, contact my previous Psychiatrists then make a decision whether or not to write a letter to the court stating that I do not have Bipolar Disorder or recommend that I see a Psychiatrist going forward He chose option 3 which was to say that his investigation was inconclusive He offered to return my check of $425 and I requested that he dispose of it Do NOT see this man
