Best Fine Art Gallery in Taos hands down. There's so much life and vibrancy and the prices are very reasonable making it possible for first time collectors to bring works home. They will work with you on your budget and accept all kinds of different payment plans. I was able to get three different items on layaway. The Gallery is very accommodating to big groups pets and kinds alike, and encourages learning and viewing regardless if interested in purchasing or not. The staff is warm and pleasant and has lots of recommendations of other outdoor and cultural activities to do take advantage of it Taos. I live close to Taos and have visited Farahneight Fine Art Gallery a few times. Every visit I see a different display, and arrangement of new and familiar works. If you want to see an eclectic mix of Native American Art that varies from Contemporary, Modern, Traditional, with a splash of Postmodernism; then this is your place! The detail of the architecture and murals alone are a great representation of New Mexico's style and culture. Bough a beautiful necklace their for my mother, it was reasonably priced, and perfect. While vacationing in Taos this year, my husband and I stopped by Farahnheight at the end of a day of gallery hopping, and I am so glad we made our way there. The space is beautiful, and Greg, the owner, was so knowledgeable! Not only did he talk with us about the artists & work showcased there, but also gave us essentially a history lesson on Taos' history as an artist colony, all the way down to D.H. Lawrence & Dennis Hopper's ties to the city! We had so much fun looking around the gallery & talking with Greg. You absolutely need to stop if you're ever in the area. read more

I went to FaraHNHeight Fine Art gallery for the first time the other day, to attend an opening, and am so glad to have encountered this space! It's all contemporary indigenous artists, and the pieces are outstanding. The owner, Greg Farah, was friendly and helpful, answering my questions about the artists. The opening featured work by painter Brian Taaffe, of whom I'm a big fan, and clay artist Matthew Rowe, and their works were paired so well together. This gallery is fantastic. If you're driving through Taos or vacationing there I definitely suggest you stop and check it out. They have such a great blend of older Native artists and contemporary artists. They have a full on RC Gorman statue in the middle of this huge space and in the back they have a rotating show of contemporary artists. This is a must do in Taos. This is hands down my favorite gallery in Taos. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and curates fabulous exhibits. The owner was there when we visited and was able to tell us the history behind every piece we asked about. There is a plethora of art to see: jewelry, rugs, prints, paintings, sculptures...you name it. This gallery is amazing. A must go if you are in the area and like art. The space is excellent, the art is phenomenal, not the generic things you will find at every other gallery in Taos. The large open space allows for the creativity of hosting artist events, and displaying Native art from both younger new talent and established artists. Of all the galleries in Taos, this one is by far the best. This gallery is an exceptional example of modern Native American and Taoseño art. Wonderful gallery in a good location only a few minutes walk from the plaza. It's a great open space with high ceilings and everything is displayed beautifully.
