I have been in the Albany area for the last ten years. British American is the first taxi company that I have used happily!!! After many horrible experiences with the local Albany taxi companies, I was so relieved to finally find a company that is consistently reliable, friendly, on time, and safe! As a female, I have not found another Taxi company in the area that I can trust. This is honestly the first Transportation Service I have used, in Albany area, where I haven't felt the need to keep my pepper spray out during the ride! They are a very well run operation. From the boss, to dispatch, to drivers, I have had nothing but positive experiences with British American, and have used their company at least 20 times. I will never call another Taxi company in the area again; not now that I have found British American. If you want safe, fast, reliable, and friendly service, look no further. My wife and I don't travel nearly as often as we'd like. When our anniversary vacation finally came around we felt we really didn't want to leave our car at the Albany International Airport Garage for an extended period of time and looked to the area yellow pages for the best taxi company out there. To make a long story short, we selected the BritishAmerican Transportation Group in Schenectady. We called a reservation in a week in advance and confirmed the day before our departure - the Group's representative was pleasant and helpful each time. The Group's driver (Jeff) was to arrive at our home at 4:45am and was there promptly. The cab was clean, Jeff was helpful with our bags and otherwise cordial and the rate was far better than that charged by other cab companies - We've got no reservations in recommending the BritishAmerican Transportation Group! read more

I worked with Mark Weeks for my wedding this past July using his first company British American. He was easy to work with and provided me with an unreal service and cost. I mistakenly overlooked that I needed a car only 2 days before my wedding to transport my bridesmaids and the groomsmen and he was able to not only ease my anxieties but promptly found me transportation with an absolutely beautiful car! We also ended up needing to extend our service hours, and Mark made this all happen and coordinated everything for us without worry. We recently booked with British American to taxi down and back to JFK. We chose not to fly out of Albany because our airfare plus taxi service was more economical and more time efficient than flying from Albany. Our experience was terrific. Drivers were courteous, pleasant and on time. The day of the trip to JFK it was snowing and the driver contacted us to see if we would like to be picked up early so that we could allow for the extra travel time needed due to weather. He had many years in the industry and we couldn't have had a better ride. Prices were much better than local competitors. Taxi was no frills, clean and well maintained. Great Service!! I hired them for a ride from the albany airport to my hotel in Saratoga, it was very last minute and they were quick to accommodate my needs. When I called they were very friendly. Used British American last weekend for a ride to the train station in Rensselaer. The driver arrived on time in a clean, luxury sedan and drove us to our destination. In the past I used to use the Capital land as I was from out of town, and did not know who to call, they were at the airport.. and awful. Then I discovered Brit-AM, what a difference!, now they since changed their name to Faregoes so I had a hard time re finding them, But my in and out trip is now booked. read more
