What a cool gem in Elkton! I stumbled into the store looking for a particular kitchen stoneware, an inverted butter dish. Julia, the multi-knowledgeable owner, informed me about the local Japanese artisan who designed it but had since passed. A bit disappointed, I browsed the shop's local farm goods, unique home décor and repurposed furnishings - many one-of-a-kind treasures! I came back the next day to enjoyed an Umqua ice cream on a hot day, browsed again and envisioned some of her furnishings in our nearly built new home. Can't wait! One last important note - Julia is also a barista of the best espresso coffee drinks in town, including an espresso ice cream treat that would top any ice cream parlor offering. read more
