    Chicken and Waffle Cone
    Mike S.

Ok all I can say is I've been dying to try this food truck and Saturday did not disappoint! I ordered the Chicken & Waffle Cone. It was absolutely spectacular! The syrup on the chicken nuggets and bacon Inside a waffle cone was so tasty! I inhaled it! I can't wait til they are back at the local brewery again! I need to try the cheesesteak egg rolls next but it's gonna be hard for me to order them after having the Chicken! The taste is buried in my mind and at the tip of my tongue, I just hope I do not wait so long this time to have them again!

I recently ate at this truck and was super excited to find it. Walking up to this scooby doo themed truck, I knew I had to get the chicken and waffle cone. For some reason it wasn't what I was expecting, but I was extremely pleased with it. I think I thought it would be a warm waffle cone, but the crunchy cone I was provided really worked with this dish. The chicken with bacon and some maple flavors worked well with the vanilla flavored cone. Overall I'm quite pleased here and I'd definitely try more stuff if I come across this truck again. The staff were friendly and had my food out to me in no time at all.

We had no idea what we were in for ...wow!! We ordered separate bbq brisket (not as a sandwich, we wanted to focus on the meat) and a side of Mac and cheese and bbq beans. Wow, the brisket was the best bbq brisket I had eaten anywhere. Until today, the best I had eaten was in Texas and in Maine. It was so moist, flavorful, rich melt in your mouth brisket deliciousness ... with a perfectly paired horseradish bbq sauce on the side. Everything is clearly homemade with lots of experience and love...A heavenly brisket for sure!! The bbq beans with a variety of beans and chunks of beef that was also absolutely delicious and a standalone meal ... best beans anywhere with regard to flavor, spice, bean variety, texture and sauce ratio. And finally, the Mac and cheese was perfect, not too salty and more like the Jamaican macaroni pie ... crispy on the outside, great cheese quality, and perfectly salted wothoit being greasy. It paired perfectly with the flavorful moist meat and beans!! I returned to share my gratitude to the incredible chef du jour, Freddie. I really love and will travel for good bbq and this is as good as it gets!! No wonder it's award winning. And chef Fred is also a full time firefighter, father of you can imagine, and a lovely kind down to earth person, as is his partner, Jeff!! Thanks for your hospitality! Definitely we will be returning here often! I make a mean braised brisket (grandmother's recipe) but bbq brisket is tough to make and keep moist! They nailed it!! We love the ambience/ location at the Williamstown Amish market entrance ... and worth following this award winning chef and good truck to other locations!

Only negative is that Fred has a day job (yes - as a fireman - LOL) ... so we have to wait to see where his awesome truck will be and get there early before he runs out! We ordered a Pulled Chicken composition and Philly Cheesesteak Sammy on the way out of the beer den after purchasing a 4-pack of home grown suds. While the Belgian Tripel went of $23, the amazingly tasty sliders were boxed expertly for $8 for a deuce, prepared the way you want it. Ample sauces, peppers, onions, relishes and melty cheese to beat the band. When we arrived home five minutes later, we broke open the grub and brew at the kitchen table and went off devouring the solids and guzzling the liquids. Really, the Stuff'd Bunz were terrific; plenty of flavors and textures to entertain the tastebuds, and leave you wanting more. Strong BBQ base under sours and sweets and crunchies, held together by something that reminded of a potato bun. Even the mock Cheesesteak was a big chew hoot and a half. Gooey cheese over finely chopped beef, with onion mixed in. Not the Prince of Steaks, but a damn good facsimile. Washed all that down with the expensive amber ale, and we were sated, if not poorer for the experience. When Covid is defeated, I look forward to hanging out at the bar and enjoying the wonderful repast to the fullest. Until then, takeaway is the only safe way to go.

I was told to come back at 4:15p. I arrived at 4:13p to hear the owner cussing me out to his assistant because I hadn't returned. By name, in front of other customers. I pointed out I was in fact early and then he fished my ticket out of the trash to see what I had ordered. (I actually thought he'd pitched my order but he hadn't.) Owner was extremely rude, still yelling that I was late when I wasn't, and ultimately didn't even give me what I ordered. I specifically ordered ala carte items (brat + 2 full sides) for multiple people but he decided to make me one platter with two sides. The sides on the platter were smaller than ala carte, hence why I'd ordered them separately in the first place. I would have waited for a new order but the scene was chaotic ... and they had already given the orders for two customers waiting by the food truck to other customers who just took them and went inside the venue with their bonus food. The owner blamed the customers from whom the orders had been stolen for not yelling back at him when he supposedly called their names. It was really hard to understand what he was screaming due to both strong accent and pitch. That poor unfortunate woman who works with him ... forced to tolerate his chaotic, unnecessary rudeness. Food was bland and in small portions. A brat, half a cup of potatoes, and a quarter of a pickle for $13.78. We should have ordered delivery from one of the restaurants (permitted by the venue).

The slow cooker times range from 4-13 hours depending on what you've purchased. They've got a large variety to choose from and it's worth the cost. I ordered about 12 meals for $187. I figured $22.00 ($11.00 per serving) to feed just my husband and I was reasonable, considering the high cost of most goods. As we were making our way to the counter, that's when the woman working there asked if we had ever tried these before. I told her it was our first time. She then asked me if I had a round crockpot or an oval one. I told her we had an oval one and she said "you need three servings then or else it will burn". I was taken back by her attitude and it didn't sit well with me. So I responded stating that 3 servings was too much for us and that we wanted 2. She kept insisting that we get 3 servings and then began schooling me on the science of evaporation from food in a crockpot. After going back and forth I got irritated and told her that we only need 2 servings and the more she pushed me I was going to put the bag back in the freezer and leave. She changed gears and grabbed crockpot liners and told me that if we use the oval crockpot to put the contents of the bag into the liner and tie it up and then place in crockpot. I told her I had liners at home. My question is this...why offer serving sizes if not all crockpots will cook the smaller portions properly? Also, if there was a simple solution such as the liner, why was she aggressively pushing us to buy 3 servings at a higher price? Not cool. We aren't idiots and we definitely do not appreciate being treated as such. We put the 2 servings in the oval crockpot without a liner and it didn't burn!! Imagine that! We weren't pleased with the meal either. It was bland, the potatoes had a strange texture and it had absolutely no flavor...even with adding salt and pepper. I would be willing to try another meal, however, if that employee represents how What A Croc does business, then I will pass.
