For the last 3 years I have been hosting a corporate conference in West Chest, PA for 250 attendees. One of the hallmarks of the event is that we break the attendees up in smaller groups for meetings around town. I am so glad I discovered Tomato Catering. First, the food is fresh and delicious. It has that made from scratch with love and care feel. Over the years I have ordered the Nonna's Chicken, the Fajita Bar, Chicken Marsala, the Mediterranean bar, and a bunch of their salads. Our attendees love it. As the event coordinator, the next most important thing aside from taste and quality is meeting dietary needs of our guests. The Tomato Catering team is excellent here. All of their signage is clear and their dressings are vegan and again good. Super helpful. When you speak to their team whether it's Camille at their HQ or Jan at the West Chester location who made the food, they are extremely professional, on it, and and will make sure things are clarified so you never feel worried. We were able to coordinate delivery to each of our locations and their team setup the meals beautifully. Whether you are planning a personal event or a corporate meal like I was, I would absolutely recommend Tomato Catering without any reservations. My office places lunch catering orders from The Couch Tomato frequently, and for a good reason! They have a great variety of vegetarian options, and the food is always very fresh. My favorite pizzas are the American Pie and Florentine, though all of the vegetarian pies are good. As for salads, the Where's Waldorf, Pear-Fection, and Strawberry Fields Forever are all delicious. You really can't go wrong! The Couch Tomato also has great sandwiches, fresh fruit, and dessert trays. Ordered couch tomato for an event. It was ten minutes after the delivery time so I called to ask where they were. The person on the phone apologized telling me that they would be 30 minutes late and that someone was supposed to call me to let me know. The sandwiches showed up and was mediocre. They charged a $15 delivery fee for food that was 30 minutes late. I do not recommend the catering from this restaurant Update: after being contacted by Craig, I decided to try the Couch Tomato to cater another event. He was very apologetic and disappointed to hear of my experience and earnestly wanted another opportunity. This time around was perfect. The food came on time, was delicious, and they even accommodated a same day adjustment to my order. The delivery person came inside and helped set up the food and was very pleasant and friendly. This is the experience I was hoping to have during my previous order, and I am glad to have used them again for catering. We get rep lunches from here often. The salads from here are usually pretty good. But the pizza has been getting worse and worst for a while now. I actually stopped eating the pizza from here a while back. Today I grabbed a slice not realizing that it was from here and when I was told where it was from when I asked because it was so bad I was like wow... it got worst! The pizza was cold and almost burnt like. It tasted like cardboard that had been sitting outside in the cold night desert. They should stop making pizza. The Couch Tomato is one of my go-to spots for healthy meals in Manayunk, and on the few occasions I get to pick the lunch menu for the office, it's been well-received; however my recent catering experience could've been better. The biggest issue was just that they were late by 30 minutes, which unfortunately impacted the beginning of our internal conference. While the salads we ordered were excellent, due to the lateness of the delivery, several of the pizzas were cold. I've been a frequent customer of the Couch Tomato throughout the years, and overall I've had a great experience with them; so I think this was just a day of miscommunication for them. To the Couch Tomato Catering team's credit, one of the managers, Christopher, immediately called and left me a VM apologizing for the issue and offered to make amends (which I certainly appreciate). Overall, Couch Tomato Catering is a great choice to provide healthy meals to an office full of hungry people, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future. read more
