She had all her assistants harass not just me but other women who had their service animals with them. She Finally crossed a line when she grabbed me by my shoulder with an air of Authority to insist I keep my poor submissive dog on a tighter lead. I've been shopping here regularly and Judy intentionally harasses anyone with a dog ruining their shopping experience. I've asked the farmers here on numerous occasions if dogs are not allowed and why Judy holds so much aggression and contention for dog owners and they all told me they love dogs and they have NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER if a dog attends this market. My dog doesn't bark, never has "accidents " here, doesn't do anything destructive and if anything he tends to hide from strangers here who try to pet him. I'm allowed to have a dog here and Judy who runs Soar's makes everyone with a dog absolutely miserable. If you want to see a change perhaps write a truthful review of how you were treated while bringing your service dog here to this particular location! Soars is a 5 star experience but I'm deducting the two extra stars because I don't like complete strangers grabbing me by the shoulder especially now with monkeypox going rampant here! Lots of fresh produce - corn, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, mushrooms, squash, peppers, apples, berries, and much more. There is a lot of variety here. I've also purchased jarred goods here. There's a stand that sells excellent salsas, pasta sauces, and pickled veggies. The homemade portabello mushroom pasta sauce was one of my favorites. You get get honey, fresh bread, pastries, jam, and flowers here, as well. It's popular and crowded at times, especially during lunch time.

Shoppers can find fresh seasonal produce, plants, cheese, bread, cookies, bagels,etc. (Key word is "seasonal" with the produce.) I decided to take a walk down to the Federal Plaza Farmers Market to see what was fresh. Fresh Asparagus by the pound-you pick it-(out of the basket) and they weigh it! Leeks! Herbs! Peony flowers! I am looking forward to tomato and cucumber season. For now it is asparagus, fresh "Siam Queen" Thai basil from Smits Farms is of a much better quality with larger leaves than I have found in other places in Chicago. Plus reddish-pink peonies. Look for the Alexander Calder "Flamingo" Sculpture-then you know you are in the right spot! FYI-Not all vendor's from one market go to other Chicago City Farmer's Markets during different days of the week. Which makes it all the more interesting to market hop.
