No baskets or carts available so we walked around as best as we could to check out this year's holiday displays. It was challenging to walk around with so many people in the Christmas aisles so I left to check out the rest of the store. After about 30 minutes and our arms filled with treasures, we obviously needed a cart so I went searching for one at the front of the store. Jackpot! Two carts returned so my daughter and I were able to comfortably move our things into one cart. It's a large store with too many fun things to look at and want. I truly wish there was a store closer to us. My receipt said my checker was Danielle W. She was exceptionally happy and filled with smiles. She was also kind enough to wrap our breakables before putting them in a bag. I appreciated her cheerful demeanor in spite of the huge crowds she must have been seeing all day. The store was fairly well stocked and clean in spite of all the shoppers. Hobby Lobby is such a fun store for gifts, crafts, décor and seasonal gems.

She bought it in 1967 and had it reupholstered 18 years ago with beige silk brocade with very faint pink highlights. This couch was for guests when they visited. She passed and left it for me, knowing that I would take care of it. Even though it is beautiful, it is a very light color and I am concerned about that because I am going to use it every day so I had a cover made for it. This is where Pieced on Earth, Janet and her staff come in. I chose a deep green suede material. The first time I saw just one pillow completed, I almost cried. It is absolutely beautiful. She personally designed the covered for the rest of the couch adding customized touches that made it look so close to upholstered that I just had to hug it, I feel all the love she put into it. I discussed the history and she understood my desire to honor my mother and take care of it. Her attention to detail is a testament to her craftsmanship. She wanted to make sure I am happy. And I tell you she made me so very happy. I just wanted a customized slip cover. She discussed piping details with me, that I didn't even think of and how she secured the bottom looks almost like she removed the existing fabric and covered the frame. It is beautiful. She even detailed the base at the of the back of the couch cover. The curved section was a little tricky, but she took her time and looked at it checking with me to make sure, it was to my liking, I also told her it was too low for me. Solution, she had me order some 6 "wooden legs that look simply fabulous, like they were there all along. As we discussed the cover, I got a good feeling, she understood how important this process was for me. She is so personable and talented. I trusted her with a couch that has a lot of history and she respected it, took care of it and covered it with love. She is just the best and I am so glad I met her. Thank you Janet, and for choosing such talented artisans to assist you with your work. Your work represents respect, care and a high degree integrity. I have been enjoying my couch. It looks so good in my home. Thank you so very much!

I also found a nice bronze desk lamp (had to provide my own shade). Next time I'll bring measuring tape, so I can find a right frame for a poster I'd like framed. The prices are reasonable, selection is okay. I was hoping to find a crystal whiskey decanter set, but didn't find one. Some things are kinda shabby, but others are quite alright. I like the service. Cashier had no qualms about me using a bathroom (ask for a key) and the bathroom didn't stink. I think I am developing an appreciation for clean public and semi-public restrooms as I am getting older. I might not make a drive of 40+ miles just to check out the store again, but I'll probably stop by as I pass through in the future.

ReStore is literally in a category of its own…read more This is THE largest thrift space I have ever been in. But it isn't the quantity the blows you away. It's the quality. The first sofa that struck my eye was sweetly priced. Alas my small space couldn't handle this piece even if I tossed out 2-3 pieces just to make room. Regret. I shouldn't have sat in it because the instant "OMG, this is so good " just intensified the regret. I just wandered around in a sea of temptation. Every time I turned a corner the space opened up even bigger. The dining section is nothing less than phenomenal. There was classic china both vintage and modern. There were delightful curios for the table and for all your nooks and corners. There were tea and coffee services, punch bowls, complete silver services some clearly heirloom quality. And then there was more! The tool section! Power tools, hand tools, parts, fasteners. And not just random odds and ends but stacks of each item clearly leftover from a major building project. Like the paint section. To my inexpert eye, there's enough to paint a small house. Prices ranged from "they just want to get rid of this" to " I'm pretty sure a big box store somewhere out there might have a better sale" . The latter usually applied to obviously new items still in their original packaging. Some packages were still factory sealed. To be honest, I regretted not eating enough lunch and bringing some water. The size of the store was just wearing me out. I clearly need to come back with a list. It's so big in there, you can't just randomly browse you need to focus. Just off the top of my head, I've been looking for glass dinner plates for ages. It's something I keep an eye out for when I'm shopping, but I just haven't randomly encountered any that I liked. Boom! And just exactly which style would I like? For once too much selection was the problem. Well, that's a great problem for any store to have. When I got a chance to interact with the staff, they were completely delightful. I'd say morale at this location must be extremely high because you can't sustain a mood like that if the workplace is stressed. Well worth going out of your way to visit the store. If only I could give more than five stars.

What was once heavy, yellowish, stained, scratched and tired is now a dreamy creamy light beige with the most gorgeous detailing. They thoughtfully retained and carefully cleaned the original hardware, which adds so much character and charm. The delicate veneer wood tops on the nightstands were expertly restained and now look rich and intentional rather than worn. Beyond the cosmetic transformation, their craftsmanship and service truly impressed me. They repaired broken dresser drawer tracks so everything functions smoothly again, and they even fixed an old light inside one of the drawers that hasn't worked in years. The entire set feels brand new while still honoring its original character. It's rare to find someone who combines artistry, attention to detail, and true restoration skill the way they do. If you're considering refinishing furniture instead of replacing it, this is your sign, and you will be absolutely thrilled with the result.
