Some of the stuff can use some straightening up but it's a good place to save money which is always a plus.

Always a fun shopping experience as I search through endless racks for hidden treasures. Only down side is, there's always a line, a long line, a long slowwwww line, maybe during peak hours, they could prioritize more on cashiers than the sales floor. Lines are always ridiculously long at this particular Ross location. That alone is frustrating, but today I ran into a dressing room attendant that made me feel bad enough that I'll never go back. He told me to hang up an item I planned to purchase, which made no sense since I didn't want to keep the hanger so why did he tell me "I'm gonna need you to put that back on the hanger" He also would not let me try something on because it was attached to the hanger by a plastic thread, which was weird because yesterday I was at TJ Max and the dressing room attendant sweetly offered to snip off the same type of plastic threads so I could try some things on. Why did this guy flat tell me NO. It's a plastic thread to keep the item from falling off the hanger, it wouldn't hurt the item to remove it so a customer can try the item on. If I had purchased the item, took it home to try, and it didn't fit I'd be returning it to the store, ON A HANGER, but the tiny plastic tags would be off, so I don't see why I couldn't just try them on in the store instead. It felt like the attendant couldn't care less, was possibly even prejudice toward me, and that's why I'll never shop here again. read more

I am so sorry to announce my break-up with this Ross. Although I love the new layout and product selection, the obvious increase in theft and loss prevention strategies continues to make my experience undesirable. Upon store entry, you are greeted by security in vests (similar to bulletproof vests). After waiting patiently in line to be checked out by one of the two cashiers, you are rushed to complete your transaction. In my usual experiences, the cashier rings up the merchandise, the POS machine lags, and they are already calling "next in line" before you can complete the entire transaction. To make it more demeaning, the security guards (who are watching all transactions two feet away) ask to check receipts (think Walmart). So sorry your establishment is faced with folks stealing off brand and defective merchandise. No longer my preferred method of shopping. read more

I personally like going to Ross for last minute dress findings or something specific needed for a trip. It's cheap and you can find some pretty good department quality things for cheaper. From bags, travel items, household items, masks, you name it. 30 day return policy, they take Apple Pay, and the fitting rooms are currently closed during COVID. read more

Compared to the reviews I'm seeing, I didn't really have any issues with this store. The staff is usually friendly here. But they seem to have a very good selection of inventory and I mean, you come in here to see what treasure you can find, its Ross - the place where you can find the best bargains haha!!! Coming from the Sacramento area, this is the third bay area Ross that I've been to because I remember shopping at the Vacaville one long time ago when I was a little girl and I been to the one in Pleasant Hill as well also. The ross in fairfield is right by the Solano mall and the Travis Credit Union bank and you can easily walk or drive a short mile over there. I walked to and from there and it always gets busy during the holiday season, I can tell you that much. All in all, 5 stars for this store should do. I might come back some other time. read more

I came across this location decided to stop in today. The store isn't in the best area. Store seems okay not a lot of merchandise seems customer don't really take care of things. Stuff at the front counter seems to be nice. But the African-American lady at the dressing room was extremely rude NOT helpful at all. Sad thing is I was respectful and nice to her and she couldn't pay me the same respect. The staff here that I had experience with today were Rude as all get out. I'm so sorry but I'm not from the area and will not be back. but they were so rude to me. I had to pee and a meanie Flora started yelling at me at the fitting room when I just asked to use it. Then started to help four other people to the fitting rooms. I have a reconstructed bladder and one kidney if I hold my urine for a long time I can get a urinary tract infection and she was very mean. Disorganized and unappealing. Although I found some things that I did purchase, it was anything but pleasant to search for them. There were numerous items mis-stocked such as men's shirts and women's tops mixed in the athletic wear. It was like this throughout the store and this was not a staff shortage issue as multiple employees were simply socializing amongst themselves. No, they were not in training and were in groups of 2-3 laughing, checking their phones etc. Also noteworthy was the filthy sanitizer pump bottle at the entrance. I wouldn't touch it. And I was double charged for one of my items which required a return trip. Better management is needed. read more

Very poor customer service, the supervisor Georgia doesn't care about her customers, one of their workers didn't take the ink tag off on one of the blankets I purchased for my renter. She said she can't do anything about it just come back and give 10 percent off. She then told me that's all she can do for me and didn't care that I had to come back, I don't know what kind of manager says things like that! We live far, so we went back, their other worker took forever to fix our receipt. So we never got the 10 percent off, this is a ghetto Ross and with Georgia operating it, customers will be treated poorly. I'll be going to a different Ross, not fairfield! read more

I say anything for less is best! From designer name brand clothes to home décor and kitchen supplies, I've picked up my fair share of things we needed from here. This store seemed smaller than other locations but they've got some nice things I haven't seen in other stores like collectible "I Love Lucy" and "Star Wars" glasses go figure. I love Ross, 75% of the time. I get a lot of my clothes here...ALOT. Great blouses & bags & shoes. On some days, their store can be slim pickens. New stock come in once or twice a week, so you'll either hit it or miss it. Overall, good ross. Gotta love them bargains. Love Ross, hate this location. At the time I was getting ready to pay, there was only one register which also happened to be the return register. Both the purchase line and the return line were empty so I went through the purchase line and stood behind customer who was already getting checked out. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! DOESN'T VALUE IT'S CUSTOMERS!!! On 5/18/2021 at the Fairfield store, about 8:30pm, as I was checking out, the cashier had forgotten to put one of the items in the bag. Unfortunately I didn't discover that it was missing until after I arrived home. I called the store and was told that they were holding it for me. When I returned pick up my merchandise around 10:15pm that same night I asked if I could receive a discount since I had to drive all the way back to the store. The cashier turned to ask her caucasion female supervisor wearing glasses and who was standing closeby if I could receive a discount. The cashier explained to her that I had driven back to the store since the item was not placed my the bag upon check out. The supervisor flat out told the cashier, "No," without any explanation. I just went and got a good deal on pajamas. But... there was a lack of variety and sizes. I was only able to buy a pair with some warm boots. I just don't like this store. It's SOOOOOOO plain! I hate the plain blue and white colors. I hate that everything so disorganized and messy that I can't find what I want and I give up. I get so bored only being here for even stepping past its clear, oil finger printed doors. Ross needs a HUGE makeover. I'd really like a district manager to know I shop frequently at this Ross location and I have never felt impressed with the customer service staff. I even stopped shopping here and began only visiting the. Vacaville location. Today I have a cashier by the name of Cynthia. She was amazing. So pleasant, professional, and just genuine. I thanked her for being just so nice. she told me it was her first day. PLEASE give her all of the recognition on her first day of being spectacular!!!! I will come back to shop here because of such a great experience that she provided. I love Ross, I'd marry it if I could. Just like any other person who shops at Ross, we've been to plenty of them, whichever city we may have all stopped in. Sure their stores may not be the cleanest, clothes on the ground and thrown on the rack. Boxes open, or all taped up to try and prevent it. But it is a discount store. I came in to return a purse with my receipt in hand ,i was a day late after the 30 day mark i asked if i could speak to a manager to see if she could approve,getting my refund instead of store credit .Huge mistake the night store manager vilma or wilma was very rude accused me of trying to return the purse because it was used and the item not having tags (the purse was a Mk never used just found a better deal elsewhere )i showed her the tags were attached to the inside of the purse she just rolled her eyes and continued to tell the cashier next time dont take returns with no tags ,i got upset opened up the purse and showed her again ,were the atached tags were at this point i was very upset i asked for my receipt and she claimed she had gave it to me . Got home and they were not in the one and only huge bag I was given. Called first thing next morning and they said no problem bring your receipt. So I did.
