The owner, Amity was so helpful in selecting the dresses for my daughter's eighth grade dance and they were both so pretty (and age appropriate) that we HAD to buy both. One was by the brand BB Dakota and the other was by Blu Pepper. Both were fully lined AND under $100. I noticed the store had a large selection of Free People and other trendy teen brands. Amity and her staff try to buy the cutest, best quality clothes and sell them at a reasonable price. There really are not many stores where you can find a fully lined dress under $100 dollars. Come visit this store!!! You won't regret it!

I wanted to see a necklace that was in a case, so I waited patiently until one of the two employees was available. When I asked if I could see it, the employee dramatically sighed and asked which one. I pointed it out, and she grabbed it, put it on the counter, and immediately started walking away. I had to get her attention again to ask what material it was. She responded, "Well, what does the tag say?" I looked at the other side of the tag, which had "gp" scribbled on it. She then said, with an annoyed tone, "Okay, so it's gold plated," as though I had asked some ridiculous question. Then she walked away again. The entire interaction was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was trying to purchase an item from the store. Instead, I was made to feel like I was bothering her simply by asking a question about something I was considering buying. I was so put off by the interaction that I didn't even want the necklace anymore. Why go out of your way to make a paying customer feel unwelcome for no apparent reason? I won't give my money to a business where the staff can't be bothered to treat customers with basic courtesy and respect. If you look at their Google reviews, the staff's attitude is a known issue. They apologize in response to reviews but make no adjustments. It's a shame for a store with such a nice selection and location to have the employees ruin the experience.

The displays are charming and the racks are well organized and stocked. The fashions sold here are modern but still classy. Because this family run business uses a collaborative approach to sourcing the best fashions, the clothing and accessories here target several decades. It was interesting that they were having a "silver polishing party" while I was there. All of the ring trays were on top of the class counters and polishing was going on. Good sign! The business has been slow for the past few months, but it is picking back up. The jewelry store and the Donuts On A Stick are owned by the same man. I have meet him before, but I did not see him today. Today Lisa was the employee in charge. The dog in the picture is the real boss. The service here is always excellent from when I have been here. The merchandise here is lovely and I almost bought something for myself. I might do aquire something here one day, but I will have to give it some thought. I am sure we will be back here before we leave next Sunday or Saturday. Until then, this place is one of my favorite stores in Duck North Carolina.

It's all in the Silver Lining. On this day of days, we stopped by to see what the store had to offer. I saw one dainty little necklace that could be for a young girl or baby, but did not by it. I have no kids or nieces worthy of such a gift. Besides, they have grown out of the cutesy fartsy faze already. Nevertheless, the work someone did on the peices of art did not pass my eyes without appreciation for the fine details. The staff were polite, but not overly enthusiastic about us being there. It seemed to me at least they enjoyed each other's company than the guests arriving in their store. Nevertheless, I will keep this place in mind for my next book, or find a better location.
