AVOID State Farm and Shelley Dietrich's office at all cost. She nor her office are of no help…read more State Farm use to be the best. They have seriously declined in service. Increased in premiums. You pay all this money into coverage with the expectation that when it comes down to it, when you really need them, they are there for you. It was the total opposite for me. Shelley was no help to me at all. My car was stolen on 10/28/2023 but found and I didn't get it back until 1/13/2024 because SF didn't want to pay the mechanics for the damages. I had my car sent to a mechanic SF didn't have an account with. Not one time did the adjust tell me, if you send to a mechanic they do not have an account with, they are not guaranteed to pay. The mechanics went back and forth on payment because SF didn't want to pay what the mechanics were saying the estimate of the damages were plus SF wanted the mechanics to get all the parts needed, from a junkyard. They admitted on the phone when asked, that yes they use used parts and they insure those parts. Meanwhile, SF told me they only pay 25 a day up to 600 dollars for a rental. That was a lie. It was 25 up to 750 but they didn't tell me that. I had to hear that from a friend that works for SF. I had to go back to the rental and have them to redo the reservation which took an hour because SF didn't do it right to begin with. I had the rental for a month. When I had to return, my car had not been touched as of yet. I asked Shelley can we extend the rental. It is not my fault no one has started working on my car. She told me I can reach back out to the adjuster or claims team to see what they could do. I was told from numerous people, Shelley was suppose to fight for me. I'm out of a car because SF didn't want to help me. Meanwhile, the mechanics is holding my car hostage until they get money. This is a whole month later. I asked for my car to be towed to a different mechanic that they had an account with. I had to pay a fee to the mechanic for them to release my car to another mechanic. Just ridiculous!! Shelley was no help. She said it was nothing she could do about extended the rental when she and the mechanics were the reason why my car had not been fixed. There is alot more I could say but I was trying to make a long story short. Again avoid State Farm and avoid Shelley Diestrichs office!

Finally got so frustrated that we switched our policies to a new (well-rated) SF agent who discovered one of our cars had been dropped from coverage for months (yikes), and they had allowed our home security system discount to lapse for nearly a year. Our new agent was able to get all our cars back under coverage and provide a retroactive discount on home security saving us several hundred dollars. Unless you want agent who ignores you and expects you to manage your own policies, I CANNOT recommend Christian Serrano State Farm.
