I have no idea, but Cave City has a Watermelon Festival in the summer, so there must be something to this area. We found out for ourselves that watermelons from Cave City are juicy and delicious! Or, at least, the watermelons that we bought from Bolin's Produce were juicy and delicious. Bolin's also has a lot of other fruit and vegetables for sale. It's small produce stand just off the interstate, but I imagine that if you visited it during the spring, summer and fall, you'd find something to walk away with. I just say that that it you visit this market during the summer, please consider buying a watermelon. You (most likely) won't regret it.

A gas station/country store that includes a small diner…read more Atmosphere: VERY down-home. Food is served on Styrofoam plates and drinks are served in Styrofoam cups. There are old-time signs on all the walls of the diner area. The locals sit at the diner bar and talk on all types of subjects. It's a very Divey place and the food and service is good. Gave it 4 starts because although the place is a Marathon gas station, it looks just a little "suspect" in terms of safety. However, once you go inside, the people are very friendly and welcoming.

They have many different food types including Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Hispanic, and some Middle Eastern items too. If you are looking specifically for one of those, you may be better off at a more specific store. However this one has a great variety and you can find almost anything you may need from an international market. Their prices are good and it's a clean store.

My sister and I went to the business in Alvaton to pick up some sausage. There was a sign out by the road that said "Kirby and Poe" with an arrow. I turned into the driveway and noticed a building with a glass door that you could not clearly see inside with no identifying signs on the building. I parked and walked around the side of the building with no clear markings on the side. I cautiously opened the door and three people were right inside looking out the door. I said "I wasn't sure if this is a business or customer entrance". A man sitting to the left said "yeah we have an open door policy here". I said " I wasn't sure if this is where I needed to enter" We then noticed on the open wooden door the sign with the hours of operation. I turned to face the menu on the wall to my right and my sister noticed the man seated, made a face and rolled his eyes behind my back towards a man behind the counter. I could tell by the interaction with the man I was facing that something was happening behind me. It was a very awkward experience. I was a little taken aback by the situation and after paying nearly left my purchase because I just wanted to get out of there. Which added to the awesomeness of the experience. I did not feel welcomed in this business and I know made fun of when I left. A sign on the outside of your business building would be helpful to let customers know you are in the right place if "you are going to have an open door policy " and then maybe making your customers feel welcomed instead of mocked behind their backs would be good.
