We ended up spending nearly three hours bopping our way between activities and snacking. We enjoyed cider, a variety of donuts (including apple cider and pumpkin with cream cheese icing), a big ole bag of "seconds" apples that were in great condition, paid for the four wheeler/train ride through the peaches and much more. The kids especially loved the goats, slide, tractor ride through the property and corn "Sand box". Bathrooms and snack stands were plentiful and clean throughout the front portion of the farm. The staff was all very engaged and friendly as well. I loved that this spot didn't feel cheesy or over commercialized like some orchards can become. It was truly perfect. Can't recommend it enough.

While they have someone guiding you most of the time, people visiting are not always the most mindful and don't let you out to give up your spot. There is only one entrance/exit for cars, so I think they need to be a little bit more upfront with the flow of traffic and constantly have someone guiding everyone to ensure that parking isn't backed up. There are pumpkins, tracker rides, a little parade car for kids (and adults can fit too) and a play area for the kids. I think it's the perfect place to grab donuts, cider, pick some apples and grab your pumpkin. Just be warned that some areas may be more hectic than others, but that's what you get with a sunny October weekend!

Grange just opened the last week of June for sweet cherry u-pick. I went at 9 am on a Friday when they opened and picked almost 4 pounds in 30 minutes. The employees are always friendly and helpful. They'll give you however many buckets you want (each bucket holds about 5 pounds) and direct you to the picking area. I had fun trying each of the three varieties they had available: cavalier, black pearl, and white gold. They post on social media when each variety is ready to pick. Sour cherries usually come a bit later in July, but I prefer having lots of sweet cherries to eat. As of June 2025, U-pick cherries are $2.90 per pound. You can also buy pre-picked cherries, as well as other items at their farm stand. They take cash and credit cards. The parking area is a bit small, but I've always just gotten there early so I'm not sure if they have an overflow parking area anywhere. I'm looking forward to hopefully coming for blueberry season next!

De Lange's is pretty no frills overall--a "get your berries and go" kind of spot. I'm pretty sure there were strawberry pie-shaped candles for sale in addition to some dessert-y components that you can also pick up at your local grocery store. It's nice if you're in a pinch, but I say spend your hard-earned dollars on the berries. I can't speak to the u-pick experience outside of knowing that De Lange's offers a strawberry u-pick option down the road. Knowing the quality of the strawbs, I may have to consider u-picking next season.

I was in need of peaches, and I figured I'd give Green Acres, an open-air market, a try. Coming in…read morethe summer, I was happy to see that most of the produce was either local or from the Midwest. There were samples of watermelon and cantaloupe out for trying, and I found myself with an Indiana watermelon in my cart, plus local peaches and tomatoes. My husband called my attention to the pies, donuts, muffins, and fry pies. I could smell that Green Acres bakes/fries some of their sweets, while they sell goods from other businesses. He bought a blueberry donut and Amish fry pie, and of the two, the blueberry donut was the better buy. Green Acres not only frosted it but also added some blueberries on top. Not bad! Though they didn't make it into the cart, Green Acres also carries meat, eggs, flowers, soaps, succulents, adirondack chairs, and decor for your yard. While this won't be in my regular rotation, I'm grateful to know that Green Acres is available. I may pop in during the fall for pumpkins.

First of all the location is very convenient and there is ample parking. The amount of vendors are impressive but more importantly the variety and quality of items are top notch! The vendors are very knowledgeable and friendly although I do think the prices are a little higher than what you might expect from a farmers market. There is typically artisans selling items, a few food trucks and buskers singing in verious locations within the market. We look forward to our next visit!

I marveled at the variety of produce, plants, baked goods, sweeteners, meat, (smoked) fish, prepared foods, skincare/soaps, and craft-y items. Prices are reasonable too. Many of the vendors accept credit cards, and there is an ATM on-site. As a baked goods fiend, I want to spotlight the breads from Laughing Tree Bakery. Holy shmoly, they are special and so deserving of your dollars. I was so pleased with the sourdough-based loaves I brought home, and the rosemary focaccia that didn't make it home. Lastly, sorry pet parents: no animals allowed at this market.

Unfortunately, I waited almost 15 minutes for an iced coffee. The tall gentlemen in the food area stands around just staring at a screen while one (1) teenager manages the cashier and one (1) teenager manages the drinks and desserts. It's wild, makes me want to get behind the counter and help them out. Come on, why are you so lazy tall man! There was a line about 30 deep in both the pastry line and the cafe. It's bonkers that there are multiple adult employees unable or unwilling to multitask. My suggestion would be for the staff to chip in or hire additional staff to move things along.
