But was not told until after I was already checked in, by the doctor himself, that he no longer does thyroid surgery. Nor does any one else in the practice. So instead of telling me to go to a doctor who could help me earlier soonest, I have now wasted weeks on what is potentially a cancer diagnosis (won't know until it comes out). I was also then given two names of people that could do the surgery, both of whom were either not taking new patients or could not see me for at least eight weeks. Please do not go to this practice if you are seeking assistance with your thyroid. This practice may be great for other things but it appears that it does not include working with the thyroid.

To a person they are friendly and very professional and do so with great care and sensitivity. I see this as a reflection of Jessica's superb management skills. They told me they would call and receive the MRI results. Arrived 30 minutes early to get all my paperwork done. It took over an hour to call me and to see the doctor. When he finally came in he asked, "do you have your MRI results"... then proceeded to ask me 3 more times where I got this MRI done. I was there for over 2 hours sitting and waiting, while this could have been solved with a prior phone call from the doctor saying they needed the results. This was the office in Princeton on Ewing Street.

I was given a full examination and evaluation and I was given all the time I needed, by both these practitioners, to discuss and clarify my questions. I left this visit with a clear understanding of my treatment options, a pair of trial hearing aids, and with the names of specialists available for additional consultation if necessary. Mainly, I left with confidence that I've found a treatment team on whom I can rely to provide me with excellent ongoing care and support for all my hearing issues in the future. I called this office and they had her come right away and removed what was hurting. Needless to say ,the other , Becker ENT , would only fit her in at an office 40 minutes away and with an appointment time 4 hours from the time of the call, when they have an office 10 minutes from our house. She even called last night for an emergency call for this problem. She was in pain and the site was bleeding. She did everything they told her to no avail. I guess 12 hours of pain wasn't enough. My husband had septum repair surgery scheduled with this office for last month. The office called…read morehim and told him they need to reschedule for the 12th of this month because of staffing issues. They called again to change the date to today,October 18th. Yesterday they called him to remind him that his surgery date was Oct. 20th (it wasn't) and then verified that it was in fact scheduled for today, and then informed him he would need to be in at 6:00 am. Then they called and said he could actually come in at 12:00 as surgery wasn't until 1:00. This morning they called and said that they just noticed his cardiologist hadn't signed off on his EKG results (which were fine). My husband couldn't reach his cardiologist early this morning so once again his surgery is cancelled. The office called him 30 minutes later and said they spoke with the cardiologist and got clearance so he could come in for his surgery. At this point though my husband had already had a cup of coffee so couldn't have gone under anesthesia.This is a horribly run office and he definitely won't be rescheduling with this practice!

He went through other possible causes and logically ruled them out. He could run more tests, but in his experience they were unnecessary as he was 99% certain of his diagnosis given lack of other symptoms and my age. Bottom line choices were two; do nothing and see him in a year, or check out what a small hearing device might do to improve the situation. Made sense. I took an appointment to explore that option in a few weeks in the same office with Bucks Mercer Hearing Centers. No charge for the introduction to the variety of technology available today. Everyone in the office was pleasant from front desk, to audiologist, to Dr. Mallen, to last stop for next appointments. Went in for what turned out to be a neuralgia - the first doctor was nice but ineffective and the second (to whom I was switched without being asked) was flat out a jerk - didn't read my file, didn't look at me during appointment and examined me with unsterile instrument he picked up off a table. When he suggested "maybe it's allergies" (for my excruciating pain) and required yet another hearing test, that was it for me. High quality health care is about good doctors and good referrals - these people don't know anything and don't know anybody.
