"BROUGHT SEXY BACK" (MUST READ) FALLING OFF - Ok so just as we've all experienced in our life time (Ups & Down's) whether it be relationships, jobs etc our physical weight can be just as volatile as the stock market. I've always maintained a healthy weight, exercised regularly and even modeled clothing in the past. Here's the thing...life became busy and my health took a back seat and before you knew it two in a half years passed by and during this time healthy eating and the gym became nonexistent. LIFE CHANGE- I decided to start back in the gym and eating right however all the crap I ate created stubborn belly, arm and back adipose/fat I just couldn't get rid of. DEAL BREAKER- The first surgeon left out an important part of my procedure that Dr. Racanelli touched on immediately. I developed gynecomastia which Dr. Racanelli said must be addressed if I'm looking for a perfect return to my old self. The first surgeon totally ignored and focused on all other area's. Well who wants to go under the knife twice....lets do this all in one shot. LOST HOPE- Before finding Dr. Racanelli I literally felt the sadness setting in. I don't just want to throw away money and not sure I'll wake up happy with results yet I wasn't sure who or where to go. DR. RACANELLI'S PRACTICE PRESENTATION- Posh, Beautiful Staff; Isabella, Pricilla, Victoria and the newest member Hamabilly (yes you too John lol). They are all professional, articulate, respectful, understading and supportive. Extremely welcoming even as I waited to talk to Dr. Racanelli I had the fitters. They all spoke to me and ensured I came to the right place. And of course you may feel theyre paid to say this but little did they know I got a tip from my cousins friend that had work done by Dr. R and she looks amazing. But shit I'm nervous regardless. Dr. R - Finally I meet the man that would "BRING SEXY BACK" and it was uphill from there on. I was seen on-time, provided a full explanation of the procedure given time to think of possible questions and most importantly I wasn't rushed. PROS' 1) Pictures of previous patient results were clear and on screen where I could zoom in and see clearly before & after results. 2) Doc address gynecomastia which other surgeon failed to. 3) Respect. I felt respected and valuael. 4) Comfortable 5) Procedure performed in a hospital setting (safest place) not in the basement of an office. 6) Excited I made the right choice. CON'S I wish there was something to tell you. But there aren't any. BEST PART- As a patient you'll have exclusive access to Dr. R (his cell number) where yes he responds. How awesome is that. No automated service. AMAZING- The feeling I have when I wake up every morning knowing I made the right life changing choice to be healthier for myself and to be that physical image role model for my clients and my son. END RESULT- I came out amazing. I had my surgery October 11th. Two months later I've healed completely and have lost so much weight and I'm still losing weight...its great. Dr Racanelli even went as far as having his lovely staff member Victoria send me a meal plan diet to maintain and continue to improve my current success. He truly loves his patients and shows care and compassion regardless of race, color, religion etc. I'm black and he's white and we are like brothers and his staff are like family. Writing from SARASOTA, FLORIDA - I will always give Dr. Racanelli 5 stars. I have been seeing Dr.Racanelli for a few years now. Prior to me becoming his patient, I worked with him for a few years as a nurse and got to really see his perfectionism firsthand. When my younger brother needed surgery, I brought him straight to Dr.Racanelli. There was no doubt in my mind and I was not going to let just anyone touch my little brother (I'm very protective over him). I can say that he fixed my brother and you cannot see any scars whatsoever. You would never know his face had been operated on. Years later, he still asks about my brother and how is doing etc etc. My mother, sister, and sister-in-law all go to him now as well. I won't allow any other doctor to touch their faces! All three of them are ecstatic with their results! My other sister-in-law is also going to be making an appointment soon as well! Clearly, Dr.Racanelli is a family name now for us! We wouldn't have it any other way. Fast forward, I had breast augmentation 2 years ago, and my ONLY regret is that I did not do it years earlier!! It has truly been a life-changing and positive experience for me. I took so much of his time during my consultation, and he was nothing but patient and thorough. He is extremely attentive, listens to you, addresses all your concerns, and more importantly explains everything in great detail. Also, he gives you REALISTIC expectations which is incredibly important in terms of plastics. We all want to look like instagram models, but guess what, anatomy is anatomy and many expectations are not realistic due to your own personal anatomy. I had false expectations. He explained in great detail why my expectations would not occur. This was huge for me, because had he not done this, I would have been disappointed most likely. Instead, he showed me realistically what I would most likely achieve. Guess what? He was right on the money, and more importantly, I could not be happier with my results. I kick myself for not doing this sooner. By the way, other plastic surgeons gave unrealistic expectations. He gives you his personal cell to call him after surgery and he called me (actually my mom who was taking care of me post-op) multiple times the 1st day of surgery and again the following day. Everything went so smooth. I followed his post-op instructions verbatim and my incisions are almost non-existent. They actually just look like skin creases. So I'm very happy :) As far as his staff, they are wonderful. They are always professional and accommodating. When I fly home for visits, I call them up and they squeeze me in every time without hesitation knowing I am coming from Florida. This should speak volumes being that I can easily find another plastic surgeon in Florida - but I don't, and I never will. I only trust Rac, plain and simple. The offices are all a little different, but very beautiful and extremely clean as they should be. Plus, they have the best beverages and chocolates ;) I really urge anyone contemplating plastic surgery to do their research diligently. i don't usually write recommendation letters but I am absolutely compelled to do so in this case. This because of a doctor and staff that demonstrated a level of compassion and empathy for a patient beyond anything I have ever seen. To give some background I have a good friend who damaged his fingers in a high pressure spraying accident. While being treated in the emergency room the ER staff realized that he needed to be admitted and would require interventional and reconstructive surgery. They called Dr. Racanelli and he responded quickly and capably. He need to perform two surgeries over the course of a few days to address the situation. They were performed admirably and with the level of expertise that you would expect from an extremely skilled plastic surgeon. What was not expected was what came next... My friend is a hard working family man who is employed as a factory worker and his wife is employed as a nurses aid. They are truly good people who have raised a family by virtue of their personal sweat equity alone. They quite frankly don't have the money to spend on anything but keeping a roof over the heads and food on their table. However because this was an emergency/urgent care situation they fully expected that the medical insurance they had paid for all of their lives would cover the bill. It turned out nothing could have been further from the truth. The insurance company involve disavowed almost all responsibility for the surgeries claiming it was "out of network". This even though it was an emergency situation and the hospital called in Dr. Racanelli. This left a potentially catastrophic bill for my friend and his wife that could have destroyed everything they had built for their family. Now comes the unexpected part. Victoria who is operations manager for Dr. Racanelli indicated that they would try and intervene with the insurance company to help. They really didn't have to do anything but spent innumerable hours trying to get the insurance company to do the right thing in this situation. Ultimately the insurance company refused to provide any assistance and indicated that my friend would have to be personally responsible for the bill. Now for the truly incredible and wonderful part of this saga and the reason I was compelled to write this recommendation. Dr Racanelli and Victoria decided that given the circumstances they would forgive the bill and that they would bear the costs of the medical intervention themselves. This involved two complex surgeries with a full surgical team and multiple follow up visits that they would absorb to help my friend and his family. I won't give a dollar figure here but let it suffice to say that they went above and beyond in every way to help. In summation I can say that Dr. Racanelli is a capable and skilled surgeon. But I can also say that he and his staff truly care. The demonstrated a level of compassion and empathy in this situation that is almost unheard of. Short version: Dr. Racanelli is the absolute best. He is extremely professional, caring and amazing at what he does. I would trust him with anything!! Best decision I have ever made! Longer version: I called the Morristown office in the beginning of May for a breast augmentation, and had a specific day that I needed to get the surgery because of my job and the recovery time. The girls were so sweet and accommodating, so I went in for my consolation, (the office is beautiful and clean) where Dr. Racanelli explained everything to me, showed me pictures, and asked me if I had any questions several times. We went right into the office, where a girl is always present, which again shows his professionalism, and after examining my breasts, he said I was a perfect candidate :) The girls were able to book my surgery for the exact day that I wanted! Which when I called several other places I would say right away that I had a specific day in mind they became rude and acted like I was being difficult. I am using Care Credit to pay, which was an easy process also, applied, got approved and set up automatic pay all within the same day. Pre-Op process was also smooth sailing. One of the girls takes you into their other office next door to fill out all of the paper work. The process is a little long, but that's just to make sure everything is done correctly. Bloodwork at Clara Maass hospital: Make sure you listen to the directions the main hospital gives you because I got lost for 45 minutes! By the time I found where I was supposed to be I only had 10 minutes left to get back to work. I told the girl and she got me in and out and was very sweet. Day of the surgery: I arrived at the hospital too early, I guess I was so anxious. I was very nervous when I got into the operating room but Dr. Racanelli had music going and it made me feel less nervous, he even took my request for Justin bieber all I remember is a nurse telling me everything was going to be okay and then I fell asleep. Upon waking up I felt very uncomfortable and nauseous. My blood pressure dropped when I was moved to the chair to eat something but a team of nurses came and gave me oxygen and I was okay in a few minutes. Get up slowly and don't rush! Went home in a few hours. I was never in actual pain pain, just felt tight and uncomfortable. Recovery: I have never met any doctor that will respond to texts at any time. Dr. Racanelli responded to every question I had right away. I can't express how much better that made this entire process. The worst part about recovery to me was not being able to sleep on my stomach or side so I just slept in a recliner for the first couple of days which helped. I also took my meds and only half a perc and I really wasn't in pain, just uncomfortable. Tips: trust dr. After 16 years of wanted breast augmentation, I finally had the finances to go for it. I researched doctors for months before even calling to make my first consultation appointment. The reviews all pointed me in one direction: Dr. Racanelli! My initial experience with his staff was pleasurable. They are kind and accommodating, scheduling an appointment within a few weeks and letting me know what to expect at my first visit. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a sweet receptionist who worked with me whenever I called the office (Priscilla). The office itself was clean and nicely decorated, very welcoming. In addition, after completing my paperwork, I waited less than ten minutes to see Dr. Racanelli. I immediately felt at ease with Dr. Racanelli. He has a way about him that makes you feel comfortable, safe, and reassured about the whole process. In addition, he is honest and open with you about the possible outcome. He wasn't shy about stating his opinion regarding sizing for me, a conversation that we had multiple times prior to my surgery. I had a few underlying medical issues which were concerns of mine. Dr. Racanelli took his time and got to know everything he could about my health. He refused to move forward unless I had medical clearance from multiple other doctors managing my health. Once he was sure it was safe to proceed, we scheduled surgery and moved forward. The day of the surgery, he was very calming during our pre-op meeting, putting me at ease. Post surgery, he was prompt to reach out for my boyfriend and spent some time on the phone with him letting him know how I was and how the surgery went. Despite some pain, Dr. Racanelli was very gentle during the first post-op check up a few days later when he removed the initial bandages. He was just as gentle when removing the stitches a week later. Every follow up appointment was just as pleasant as the first visit. In addition, any time I had a question, Dr. Racanelli or Priscilla would quickly get back to me with an answer. I visited both the Morristown and Newark offices during this time. Both locations are clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and have ample parking. I cannot overstate how happy I am with the results of my surgery. Dr. Racanelli knew what I wanted to look like (and what I didn't want to look like), and he used his discretion to give me exactly what I was seeking. He ultimately picked the perfect size for me!! My implants are completely and totally natural looking with very minimal scarring. I could not recommend Dr. Racanelli and his team more. I searched for a little over a year and narrowed it down to four plastic surgeons. After meeting with each of them, reading a thousand reviews, and reviewing their websites over and over I had no doubt that Dr. Racanelli was my pick. My husband and I knew the moment that we met with him that he would be our doctor. It was easy to tell right away that he knew what he was doing and was poised in it. He took the time to listen as I explained several of my concerns. I liked his calm and confident nature and found it reassuring. He answered every question and explained to me what he thought would look best and why. I knew that his standards were high and that he was going to do the best job possible. So I decided to trust him to make all of the final decisions when it came to implant size. I was looking to replace my deflated mom breasts with something much fuller but as natural looking as possible. They are better than I could have imagined. I am so glad that I went through with the procedure and most importantly that I chose Dr. Racanelli. The procedure itself was nothing like I had expected. I was so worried and scared but it was not a big deal at all. I went into the same day surgery center, got the IV (my least favorite part), met with the Dr., headed to the operation room where Dr. Racanelli and his team made me feel comfortable, said goodnight, and next thing I know I am waking up and leaving the hospital within a few hours. I'd give 6 stars if I could. If you had asked me a few years ago if I would ever have plastic surgery, I would have said no. Not because I'm against it, but it didn't seem possible to find someone I could trust, deal with the fear and the risk, find the time, or afford it. But one thing led to another, and after I turned 50, my stomach started to get FAT. I upped my exercise and watched my diet, and things just got worse and worse. I spent every day obsessing about my fat stomach and feeling gross and unattractive. The idea of living the rest of my life with this "meno-pot," as my friend called it, was really demoralizing. So this "meno-pot" friend told me she had a little lipo on her legs and it got me thinking. She went to one of the guys in this VF article (https://www.vanityfair.com/culture/2009/02/plastic-surgery200902) - not Dr. Racanelli. But I learned about Dr. R here and scheduled a consult for lipo. Sadly, he told me lipo was not an option for someone like me who had a couple of kids and the above-mentioned meno-pot. Instead, he recommended a tummy tuck. This was big news to me and this is big surgery. Anyway, fast forward a little and you will find me here 2 months post-op. Here's how it went. It's a big surgery but Dr. R does these all the time, and considers it one of his specialties. The surgery is done in NJ to keep costs down a little. The hospital will pick you up and drive you home. The office staff should run the US government - they are a finely tuned machine. They really get you through the process of pre-op and all that. Dr. R will give you his cell phone number after surgery in case there are questions, and in fact, I did have a question and did call him. It's not an easy procedure and the recovery is tough. Dr. R was supportive and helpful with pain medications and advice. But I can't lie. It's not easy. But then time moves on by and all that fades and I'm looking pretty good. I live in NYC and he has offices in Newark and Manhattan but sometimes you might be asked to do your appointments in Newark. It's very easy to get to Newark on the PATH and I liked going through the new WTC terminal every now and again. That was not an issue for me. I have been a patient of Dr Racanelli's for the last couple years. Initially, I had a breast augmentation with him and was so ecstatic about my results I have continued to see him for additional treatments. At one of my appointments I had spoke to him about my dissatisfaction with the profile of my nose. I met Dr Racanelli about 8 yrs ago. Ever since he's always made himself available when me or any of my family members needed his services (two of my boys needed stitches - more then once - and even my husband was under his care after he developed an infection in his leg) My first surgery with him was a breast augmentation. After I breastfed 3 kids I felt like my breast needed a boost but I wasn't ready for all the scars of a breast lift. When I went for my consult, I wasn't exactly sure what size I wanted to go. He sent me home with a goodie bag of boobs, all different sizes, some saline some silicone. I played with them for over a week, and still was indecisive (libra in me). When I went back to Dr Racanelli for my pre-op I showed him the smallest one, and he could tell I was still indecisive. Dr. Racanelli is an excellent doctor. I struck gold finding him. Right away he made me feel comfortable and secure about having a tummy tuck. I'm over 40, have 2 children and my stomach muscles had separated so much during pregnancy that I still looked pregnant, despite having lost all the weight.
