Fashion city Pretty much known as korean clothing store but not just clothing. They sell skin care products, iphone & galaxy cases. Screen protectors, jewelries, hairbands, caps and etc. I used to come here at least 4 times in a week to get clothes, but I have stopped since I moved. All the workers was pretty nice whenever I have stopped by so with the customer service i had no problem. They do have fitting room but I believe there is a limit you could bring to the fitting room. Make sure before you buy shirts, skirts jackets from there check if their is no rip because I brought a jacket from there and there was an hole. Clothing stuff you have to purchase upstair, any jewelry, phone cases you have to purchase downstair. Phone cases to jewelry section is tidy when it's busy it's really hard to walk by and the workers are like AFTER YOU if you are holding stuff on your hand. I've always enjoyed the clothing style of boutiques for the uniqueness unable to attain at mass department stores. With a good friend, we both wondered this city of fashionable clothing which entice our interest. Two levels where the lower level are all thing bling for earrings, necklaces, hair clips, iPhone bling cases, rings and the upper level is clothing. Stock is well organized and is very fashionable for the young adult woman in keeping up with 2013 trend and style probably direct from Korea. There is space for curated browsing amid, I did not try on any material. Price appears reasonable unlike the standard mass department stores. Owned and operated by Koreans who converse minimal English and are not friendly to other Asians as myself. When inquiring if they have a business card, the associate gave me a rude scowl look and blurted out "minimum $20.00 for card" followed by more coldness and dirty looks. The cashier's unwarranted hostility is uninviting for a return visit. Certainly, Fashion City has style for clothing but a whole lot of crass for customer service. read more

Their accessories sections is dizzying and a little bit overwhelming, but with great patience, there are actually some really interesting earrings and hair accessories. Some unique and artsy things. A lot of the jewelry have some element of sparkle and runs on the the girly side. I got 2 pair of earrings for $17 (one pair had 3 interchangeable earrings- a cool, assymetrical look!). A korean friend told me that these sort of shops market themselves as "boutiques," but for any korean mom, they may consider the quality really bad. I'm guessing that's why they're able to price a long sleeve shirt at $140, with a "special" 30% off? And a coat for $500?! We thought that they were marked at the original Korean price. Nope. it's USD. There's a few cute dresses and tops, but I wouldn't pay that amount of money for the clothes. It's alsa a good store to cut through in the middle of winter. There are plenty of sites online where I can buy the same, if not better, products for much cheaper with free shipping. But, If you're the type that likes instant gratification, you might find that buying from this store beats waiting several days to a couple weeks for shipping & delivery from out of state or overseas countries. Seriously though, even amazon carries most of this stuff now. Having said the above, I bought from this store on several occasions over the last several years when I absolutely wanted something right then and there. If I thought that their customer service was adequate, I would give them 2 or even 3 stars just for selling "Korean" fashion products that ethnically Korean and non-Koreans, alike, can experience here in Flushing, NY. My mom bought a hairclip here for $10 and the flower decoration fell off two days later. We went in to exchange it within the 10 day exchange date (no returns) and the lady said that they won't accept the hairclip back. The items are cute, but the quality is very poor. If zero stars was possible, I would definitely give this store, especially for the so called manager no stars at all. The cashier is super nice but the manger, she walks and talks and treats her customers like they are beneath her. There was a skirt that I really liked but the zipper was broken. When I asked the cashier if they had another one, she did have one but on the mannequin. She was willing to get it for me but the manager, she said she never changes the cloths on the mannequin so, she didn't want to give it to me. My sister have been shopping here for ages and at that point in time we had cloths we already tried on worth more than 300$ but with that attitude of hers, I rather take my business else where. I have been taking family and shopping there for years. It's an interesting store. It feels like your shopping in Korea. They always have the latest in Korea brands in fashions. A lot I mean a lot of cell phone cases and jewelry accessories on the lower side of the store. Prices are ok. Range from high price to bargains. A lot of sales around you just have to look. Never had an issue at all with customer service. Sometimes staff focus seriously on their jobs, straightening racks etc. could be interpreted as not courteous but I just find that commitment as cute. They have pics of some shoplifters at the entrances so you can't blame them for being over cautious with fitting rooms etc. if your into K-pop idols and want to identify then here are the Korean designer brands. I see some of these low reviews but I've been going for years and years and it's pretty self service. Find what you like. Pay and go. Look, when I read the reviews for this place I was expecting wayyy worse. But even though they don't speak perfect English, my cashier was still very friendly to me and threw in some facial masks with my purchase. While yes, originally their clothes are a bit expensive, there's usually almost always some sort of sale going on. I did not have time to try when i purchased so it was too big. I used to come here for several years since their clothes are cute (even though it's a bit overpriced). Unlike other shops in flushing that usually have their employees following you around, I never experienced that here. So that's why I gave a star for it. However, all of these aren't worth it when they have such a bad customer service. Last time I went there, they have a new worker that's in charge to manage the fitting room. I only had 2 items to try, pants and blouse. The store only had 2-3 people shopping around in that clothes area upstairs. There was nobody after me who wanted to use the fitting room either. And I just took longer than usual(but still less than 10min) because I wore layered clothes plus coat and it takes a bit of time to take it off and wear it again. I also had to take off my shoes since I wanted to try the pants I picked out. Obviously it would take a bit of time, maybe more than 5 min. After I got out of the fitting room, the lady that was in charge went to me, starting to nag, "Next time don't take too long, we don't like it!" So funny. Does she think there's still next time for me after she treated a customer like this? I understand her concern, but that's not the way to say it to customers since it sounded very rude. Also, I didn't take more than 10 min either and the store was kind of empty with only 2-3 people! Even if I took longer, nobody was behind me to use the fitting room. You're bound to find a few "asian street style" clothing and cute things here if the price doesn't scare you away. They have a "macy's" lower pricing for some clothing, and then a 100-200$ range of clothing. The more expensive clothing is not worth it, it's artificially priced high. The cheaper range is like 21 for a skirt, 35+ for a dress shirt. 7 for 1 lingerie underwear. The clothing and accessories/beauty parts are separated/divided in the store. A lot of their t-shirts have the "engrish" writing aka words on shirt don't make sense grammatically. Only buy when there's a sale because it's marked up. They have the back2school sale with 30% at the moment, I don't know when they have the 80% sale but I will be back if that ever happens. They have skincare lotion tubs and 150ml bottles for 10 to 15 dollars but I didn't buy since I've never recognized any of these labels, and I've been using asian skincare products when I was a teen. They do have the expensive/famous sulwhasoo(?) skincare brands in the glass counters. They got hair clips, ties, jewelry, sheet masks, some beauty supplies, and more. $20 credit card minimum. I don't know why but the same old, rude lady another reviewer was talking about let me use my card for under $20 since I didn't see the credit card min(my mistake). sign till the end (its a small sign on the clothing register), but let me use it anyways even when I offered to go shop for 1 more thing to make the min. Maybe because there was a police investigation going right in front of the check out counter as well she didn't want to lose sales. Went to this Korean boutique on a whim as I was adventuring around Flushing. This has all your girly needs from phone cases, jewelry, makeup, to clothing. I walked around both levels-the clothing floor didn't really strike me very much even though they had a store-wide sale but the clothing are mostly one size so I didn't really try anything on. They do have a very trendy style and up to date with fashion but it wasn't for me. I found that accessory level more compelling because of the various choices and brands. I found a really cute tiara headband for $9.99 and I've gotten a couple of compliments on it already in one day so that's pretty good and it was made in Korea as well. I also purchased two 10pc set face masks. The first set I bought is the DERMAL Gold Collagen Mask @$9.99 and the second pack is Mitomos Diamond Essence mask @8.99. These were a great deal compared to the Taiwanese masks I'm used to using so I wanted to give them a whirl. All in all, I would revisit this boutique for the face masks, I think they had a good variety of different types of masks for cheap prices. The clothes are expensive. They can be cute in appearance, but often upon closer inspection the clothes are often frayed or in poor condition. The return policy is strict and customer service is horrible. I've come through a couple times,while hanging out with friends, and the last time nailed the coffin in the fact that I will never, ever, come back. I was looking through a few skirts and was holding on to them to show my friend. An employee told me I could only bring in 5. I assumed it was only 5 for the dressing room and said ok. I wasn't planning on bringing them all in anyways. However as I continued to wander the store another, older lady started yelling at me for five. I told her I understood and was not planning on taking it in. She seemed offended somehow, even though I had not raised my voice at all. She was yelling at me, and angrily made me put the skirts on a rack and shooed me away after hurrying me to only hold 5. After finding that the skirts were actually of cheap quality I went to put them back on the shelf and look at the previous skirts I had held on to before. The younger employee saw me and spoke something in her language to the other customers. They all stared at me and some even glared and began to whisper. Right in front of my face. I put everything back and left. Absolutely rude with no tact. Fashion city however is much more affordable than Valentine so it is why I come here more often. They offer Korean style clothing which are mostly cute and somewhat baggy. It doesn't' fit my preference but there are some cute leggings and tights that I was interested in.
