Today, April 7, 2025, I decided to call in the morning, the Receptionist informed me they had questions and tried to reach me over the weekend. I checked my phone logs and there was no record of the calls. Finally, this evening, I decided to send an email with my phone number and finally got a call from Mike. His telephone demeanor sounded hostile. He accused me of not keeping the communication line open. The nerve of him. When I tried to explain that I've made several calls to his office, he flipped it and stated they have been trying to get in touch with me and told me I need to keep the communication line open. Next, he begin trying to talk over me. So, he wants to say what he wants to you and you better shut up. Not this female! Next, I was informed to come pick up my file. No problem. Mike you know you slipped on completing my taxes in a timely manner. It's been a month. I don't know what phone number you called, but it was not mine. You were able to call the correct number when I sent you the email. I think it's time for you to throw in the towel. You've made mistakes on my taxes before and even filed my taxes under the wrong name. Don't worry I'm done with you too.

The person who greeted me (I do not know her name because she did not present herself) was sweeping the floors. She was wearing a grey blouse with grease stains. I wasn't sure if I had walked into a McDonalds of Burger King or an actual place where I can get my car registered. Thinking, never judge a book by its cover, I explained to her the services I needed. I told her I need a lien holder on my title and she told me she does not know where to find the information in my paperwork and I should probably come back on Monday when the owner is there. I finally pointed out to her where the lienholder is listed, where the mileage of the car is stated on the title, because it looked like it was the first time she was ever in contact with a car title, insurance paperwork etc. Fifteen minutes later we are on the same page so we can start processing everything. Only the system was slow and it wouldn't let her put the information in. This I totally understand, we deal with computers, not human. Fast forward, 45 minutes later, after making copies of everything she calls me to let me know the sales tax on my car was calculated incorrectly and that I actually owe the state of PA about $60. Once again I had to explain to her that she is looking on the contract at the wrong amount but she kept telling me that this is what the system is giving her. Of course this is what the system is giving you if you are entering the wrong numbers. You think one should know how to read a contract since this is their everyday job and they deal with this every day, but apparently not this lady. She wouldn't even let me finish what I wanted to say, she kept telling me this is the amount I have to pay. I told her its fine and I will just take my paperwork and go somewhere else, after all there are a ton of places where you can register your car. At this point she took all my paperwork including the check and said: "you cannot do this. Everything is already in the system, now you have to pay. If you came here you have to pay for this". I thought I was on candid camera, I cannot imagine someone can actually act this way, let alone think this way. I was totally not ready to have to call the Police in order to get MY money back and my paperwork back. She then called the owner to let her know I am being a difficult customer, told her her math is off and I am not willing to pay. Thank God the owner talked some sense into her and probably told her you cannot hold a customer's paperwork and money hostage...!!! Needless to say I went to another place in town, Alex Auto and Tags and I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. Amazingly enough, the system was working, the tax was calculated correctly and you could also pay with a debit card not just CASH. In hopes the owner will read this review, I would just like to say, this person who is working in your establishment has no clue what they are doing. If you need someone just to sweep the floors and clean the bathroom then I would really recommend you re-negotiate this person's salary because you are most likely paying her more than she is qualified for. If you do decide to keep her in the same position with the same responsibilities please provide some training as she really does not know what she is supposed to do. Additionally, whoever works there is the image of your shop/business: if someone walks in and sees a dirty person that is also bad for your business. There are a lot of Auto Tag businesses in Philadelphia people can choose from. Do you really want to be the last one on the list because your employee is making you lose customers? I would hope not. One thing i forgot to mention is that when i left and i was finally able to get my check back for the sales tax on my car, the lady refused to give me back the copies of my paperwork. So she still has my driver's license, the title i received from the dealer, my insurance information and the contract i signed with my dealer. I would hope this information is destroyed at some point...

After we paid the tax and filed the return, the estate attorney and our financial advisor looked over the return and were appalled with the manner in which Mr. LaSorsa completed the tax return. I emailed Mr. LaSorsa several times about it, and he didn't answer my emails. When I was finally able to get him on the phone to ask him about the manner in which he prepared the return, he was very condescending and insulting to me. And he had the gall to blame his support staff, "the girls", for not printing out my emails to him. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for your tax matters.

Keeping the old tags also made transferring EZPass impossible, which would have been nice to be warned about. So, February 2024 rolls around, no plate, call up Best Tags, "not their problem", call up PennDOT, after an hour bouncing around PennDOT, they indicate need to look something up based off the receipt. Call Best Tags again, they said they'd look into it. About two weeks later a brand new tag shows up in our mailbox in a manila envelope, with a registration date effective... February 2024. Something fell through the cracks, no explanation, no apology. As other commenters have noted, there are lots of places to get routine official transactions done at fixed market pricing, why go to a place which will give problems ?

Now the Paoli branch doesn't pick up when I call and I have left voicemails on Chris's phone. I will continue to leave a daily review across all platforms in desperate hopes that someone will actually contact me and tell me what is going on. It has been 5 MONTHS since I filed with you all and I have nothing to show for it. I have no title for my car and no registration.
