Has made trying to renew my license here in PA way harder than it needs to be. Still waiting for the hold to lift. PennDOT sent our title back to our loan company in October 2024. Kyle's Auto Tag said nothing. We unknowingly drove an unregistered vehicle for nearly two years. When we came back for answers, they blamed us -- despite PennDOT and our loan company both having documentation that Kyle's Auto Tag made the error. No fix offered. No refund. We went straight to Wiggins Auto Tag. Jody resolved the entire mess in 20 minutes. Stay far away from Kyle's Auto Tag. Wiggins is down the street and they actually know what they're doing.

Well, it is against federal law (Durbin Amendment). The Durbin Amendment (part of the Dodd-Frank Act) aims to control debit card interchange fees and prohibits surcharging. There was no line item for the charge. there was a $9 difference between the store receipt and the debit card receipt and the store receipt stated cash. So, just a word to the wise, you will get fleeced at this place so make sure you bring cash or go somewhere else.

Not even sure why they are needed for DMV purposes, I had a much smoother experience at the ACTUAL DMV when getting my Real ID versus this place that seems to charge a person for everything they do as far as printing your documents, there are all these fees listed in addition to what you need to pay for via your actual vehicle. I'd say use thr online services or go directly to DMV and for insurance call someone get some quotes and save yourself a lot of time over dealing with is Angency it seems to be more stress any money than if you have a dedicated appointment with DMV or a Insurance Broker who sets an appointment vs having all the customers standing around and asking who is next etc. Definitely could use some improvement.

In total it took almost 6 months to get my plate (antique plate and then a vanity antique plate). PennDOT does take a while on these but about half that waiting was because of general incompetence on the agency staff. 2. When my first plate arrived they called the wrong number to let me know it was ready (they had called me a few weeks earlier because of another screw up on their part so they had my correct number - just dialed it wrong the second time). I called them 2-weeks after my plate had been sitting there and they said it was "still processing at penndot". Reached out to my local congress person 2-weeks after that to see if they could contact PennDOT directly and they did and PennDOT said they shipped the plate out the month prior. Called the agency again and they said "yes it's here - we called you a month ago to let you know" but again they called the wrong number. So they both called the wrong number AND didn't tell me the plate was ready when I called them. Additionally every time I called and asked for an update they said "we'll call you when it's ready" and acted very annoyed. If I didn't keep calling in I'd probably still be waiting for my plate. 3. PennDOT made some mistake when processing my vanity plate and had to redo it - again had to call the agency to have them call PennDOT to see what was going on - if I hadn't I probably would never have gotten the plate. They had to resubmit the paperwork but at this point PennDOT had increased their rates so i had to pay more on top of this. 4. Generally they just don't know what they are doing, are actively working to get things done with the government agencies they work with, and overall just act annoyed when you try and get more information from them. One mistake here and there is annoying but not the end of the world - this was different - this was systemic incompetence that is not worth the headache or risk.

The detailed story: My son bought a motorcycle, and Jackie at Ennis performed the state-to-state title transfer (DE to PA), completed form MV-1 (Application for Certificate of Title), notarized the bill-of-sale, submitted PA registration, issued a new PA tag, and even applied for my son's current address to be updated on his license. And here's the part for which I will be forever grateful to Jackie: Tuesday, May 5th, we had traveled 2 hours from Harrisburg, and had originally planned to complete the purchase and transfer the vehicle at Wiggins Auto Tags (954 E Baltimore Pike Kennett Square), which was closer to the seller, and supposed to be open until 8. I called Wiggins the day before to confirm they would be open until 8. At 6:50, we pulled into the parking lot at Wiggins, and they were closed! A sign on the door stated they were closed, and would resume normal hours the next day. Very grateful to the seller as well, who discovered the closure before we arrived and had contacted Jackie at Ennis. Ennis normally closed at 7, but Jackie graciously agreed to stay open. It took us 15 minutes to redirect to the Ennis location, and we arrived about 7:15. Jackie was finishing up with another customer, and then helped us, and we finished up our transactions around 8:15. Jackie gave up an hour of her night to save us having to reschedule and travel another 4 hours round-trip. Jackie's is performance is outstanding. I found this place on Google reviews- they had only 5* ratings, so I knew I had to go there…read more I needed to register my car from out of state. The lady working was super kind and helpful. There's plexiglass dividing the business side from customer side, so it gives a sense of covid safety. There was no line, which was nice. I'd totally recommend The Auto Tag place for your needs.
