This news has been distressing for us, especially since this was our first holiday season with out my own mother, who had passed in August of this year. My Fathers Ex Wife decided to sue and press charges in November. It was a very stressful Thanksgiving when I saw that my Dad had been served these charges. I looked up a Law Firm close to where my father lives and found Joy and her firm. I am so glad that I pushed my Dad to apply when I did! Joy and her team looked over the papers and saw we had already missed a court date and did not receive all of the papers as expected. I am so Thankful that Joy took on my Dad's case! Naturally on Christmas Eve, she did press charges on him again. I know this battle is not yet over, but I have so much confidence and faith in Bradley and Joy. My issue is not with how he presents himself. My issue is with the actual value and results I received. I hired this firm to help me through an extremely high-conflict divorce and custody case. Instead of receiving the kind of assertive, effective advocacy I believed I was paying for, I watched the case worsen while the bills escalated. During that representation, I lost all custody and parental rights to my children. When things became more serious, I was told that expanding the representation to include Nazanine Ghazi would strengthen the case and improve the outcome. Instead, it expanded the cost. I kept having to provide new credit cards as each one got maxed out. After the third card, I could no longer afford representation, and I was left to keep fighting on my own. Between Hayat Family Law and related counsel, I paid well over $100,000 in legal fees. In return, I was left in a worse legal position, buried in debt, and carrying the lasting damage of a case that, in my view, was not handled with the level of strategy, force, or effectiveness that was promised. This case involved numerous serious allegations against me. Important allegations were investigated and found unsubstantiated, yet I was still left to defend myself largely alone after spending an extraordinary amount on attorneys who did not, in my experience, deliver meaningful results. Things are going much better now, thank God, but I believe that says everything. I got better results after the money was gone and I had to represent myself than I did while paying this firm and associated counsel over $100,000. This is my personal experience. Based on that experience, I would never hire this firm again, and I would strongly caution anyone considering them to look past the polish, ask hard questions, and think very carefully before trusting them with a high-conflict family law case.
