This FastMed office embodies pretty much everything I hate about doctors offices and awful customer service. It is 180 degrees from the Battleground Avenue FastMed that sent me over for x-rays. Sunday morning with one other patient in the office. I was "greeted" by a very unenthusiastic person who was obviously much troubled by having to be at work. She instructed me to have a seat and they would be with me. The referring FastMed told me they would be expecting me and I would be seen right away. For the next 50, that's FIFTY minutes, I sat in the empty waiting room while watching and listening to the staff yucking it up. It was apparent that they felt no need to provide FastMed - or AnyMed. What happened to the "they will be expecting you" concept? The woman who acknowledged my arrival did step outside for a few minutes, a smoke break perhaps? I would have left only I knew that leaving would only create a huge inconvenience to me. So I sat there mentally writing this review. Fifty minutes into this ordeal I was called back and x-rayed. Once that was over, I bolted as quickly as I could, never to come back. My final vision was of the check-in person hiding in a corner behind a wall slouched back like she was taking a nap. They say only 10 people can be inside waiting at a time cool. then they will tell people to go sit in their car or go wait outside so "they can get appointments first" but what about in between appointments take walk ins?? they'll also won't sign people in and just make them wait outside and tell them it will be a 6-12 hour wait. they take only 1 person back every 45 minutes it seems. read more

Called to make an appointment for a drug screening. After two attempts where no one answered, my third attempt was placed on hold twice. After 25 minutes trying to make an appointment, I got one for 3:00pm. I arrived before my scheduled time. I was asked to fill out my details on an I-pad. It did not work. I sat in the waiting area for 75 minutes after my appointment time. When I asked the technician why it took so long to get back she said that they were busy and they had other people in front of me. She was very robotic with her directions for me; no please, thank you or any courtesy whatsoever. I said that my appointment was for 3:00 and she responded that there are no appointments. I asked why was I given an appointment time and the response was "it wasn't me, I didn't make an appointment." Not once did I get an apology from anyone. I told the tech that she needs to get a better attitude for the line of work she is in. If I could give a "0" for this place, I would. This place is the worst. read more

I'm only giving two stars for the cool blonde lady with the tattoo on her hand, she works the front desk. She was very nice and a good vibe. I honestly can't stand the health care/treatment in NC and this place confirmed why! Granted the time we're in stress is at an all time high however, you took an oath to show care compassion and fair treatment towards everyone. The practitioner that assisted me was NOT any of the above, no compassion no empathy just in and out. I didn't even receive paperwork describing my visit nor any after care instructions. Had to ASK her to wrap my finger smh. Once she realized she couldn't perform a small procedure on me i was dismissed lol. I'm thinking well damn can you wrap it? Give me some home instructions? I am a nurse and I had symptoms of the flu and covid. The doctor was kore interested in closing the clinic then treating my symptoms. She refused to test me for the flu. I didnt have Covid. She didnt exam me. She was walked din and handed me a labcorp paper and left. Lazy. Horrible patient care. I would have tested a patient for both and done more than walk in and out read more

There is NOTHING fast about this location! They need to remove the word fast from their name - no matter what day or time they only have one medical assistance, one provider, and one front desk person. There can be no one in the lobby and your wait time is 30 minutes, don't let there be 2 people in the lobby - automatically your wait time is 2 hours. All I come here for is a drug test for work, imagine having to wait 2 hours to pee in a cup!!! Thank goodness I wasn't I'll or bleeding. read more

As other people have said they have a nice lobby. That's about all the good I can say and the only reason for 1 star. Unfortunately, this has to be my go to place if I need a Sunday visit which is the only time I ever come here. This is my 4th visit and I must say that it's a joke every time. We bring our kids here on a Sunday if need be but I will just stay sick an extra day to keep from going here. Much of our visits are the same but I will describe today's visit only. First, we arrive 5 minutes before they open and there's only 1 car in the lot. 15 minutes later someone finally comes to open the door, so I thought. Actually she comes to tell us to wait a little longer because she has lost or forgotten the key. The only lady there has her 16 month old with her running all over the place. Once we get in, we fill out the appropriate paperwork but at first she can't put it in the computer because of chasing the kid. Then when she does sit down she says the computer is down and she can't input anything. I have heard this same thing at every visit here. And guess what, we can't be seen until it's in the computer. She eventually gets it put in 20 minutes later and the Dr.??? says she can't see the kids until her staff shows up. We have already been inside 45 minutes, where the crap is the staff? We are taken to a room after an hour + in the waiting room. May I remind you we were the first ones there and the only ones for the first 30 minutes. Well, needless to say that this review will stay at this point because we are still sitting in the room waiting to be seen by the so called doctor. read more

This is the worst urgent care I've ever been to for a pre employment drug screen!!! I've been here for over an hour and there's is only two people in the waiting area. Nobody at the front desk. 5 people called ahead of me and still waiting. They have the worst service and are totally unorganized. I went to this place whit a really bad back pain, first thing I notice, the clerk was chatting on Facebook, so maybe my pain was interrupting whit her socializing, so she was being rude and didn't really care about what was going on whit me , the doctor was ok he checked me and prescribe me but I still left there whit 75 dollars less that I had to pay in insurance co-pay and in pain, so I really don't know how this urgent care facilities really work... I am quiet suprised by the low stars given by others. I have used this location many times for my children getting injured or infections. After coming in last week and seeing Dr.Chatten and her team for myself I can honestly say I am very happy to refer my friends. Even after getting blood taken for tests to be done, a shot in the tush ( I am not usually am anti-doctor or anti-modern medicine) I would still go back for any medical needs. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I urge you to not come here if you want fast care. The wait to be moved back to a room was ridiculous especially providing I was the only patient in the waiting room. So not only is the wait long, but the staff are very unprofessional. When you are waiting to see a doctor, you can hear the staff talking. With the HIPAA laws you would think the staff would be more discrete and professional in what they talk about when the walls are so thin. Yet again if you want fast care I suggest you go elsewhere because you can expect to wait twice as long as any other facility. read more

Very poor service. When I checked in there were only 2 people ahead of me and as I waited others arrived. I was told patient were treated first come first served but that was not true. I waited 1 1/2 hrs to be taken back to a room to only wait another 30 minutes before actually being seen. I gave all my insurance information and my HSA credit card so the visit would automatically be charged and I would not receive a bill. However, for the past 2 months I have been sent a statement. I ignored the first thinking it was an automatic billing, however upon receipt of the second bill I called to find out I needed to call another number to get the matter cleared up. This is very frustrating and I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

This was the worse experience at a Fast Med that I have ever had. I usually go to the one on Battleground which has excellent service. However, this time I went to the one on West Market Street. I checked in about 6:30 pm for my daughter who I learned later had fractured her pinky finger. I did not get out of the Fast Med until 10:05 pm. We did not see a doctor until 9:00 pm. The nurses were not very friendly nor was the doctor. No one seemed to be bothered at the fact that there was a 4 hour wait to see the doctor. When I originally checked in, I was told an hour wait which was acceptable. However, as the night went on, I had no idea I would be exiting the FastMed at 10:00 pm. It also did not help that their parking lot is not well lit. In fact, one of the nurses stated that they did not have any lights out front and they needed to get some. This location was supposed to close at 8 however after we left at 10:00 pm, there were at least 3 other patients waiting. This was so unacceptable. This has really tainted my impression of FastMed. read more

Ummm... I'm very upset right now as I am writing this sitting in FastMed. I get here about 15 minutes before they open, which the sign says 8:00am). The first employee doesn't not pull up until...8:15...okay cool. She takes about 10 minutes to get herself together and comes around to open the door. By this time, it's me and another patient with her husband. Once we get up to the front desk, she doesn't apologize for not being on time...BUT the first thing that comes out of her mouth is that she cannot check us in because the front desk employee isn't here and doesn't know what time she will be here. She also suggested for us to go to another location or we can wait. We decided to wait because it's close to where we live and thought the front desk employee would be here no later than 15/20 minutes. Whelp...its 8:55 now...guess what? SHE STILL ISN'T HERE! Me and the other patient are still waiting. We haven't received an update yet from the other employee that is here. This is just so unprofessional. I guess I see why this place has so low ratings. I need for FastMed on W Market to Do Better! Smh... This will be my last time visiting this "Urgent Care". read more

I would have rated this place negative stars if I could. I was seen by a PA here who talked to me like I was a complete idiot for even coming in, and gave me the inpression she assumed I was only there to try and score an RX for pain killers or something. I had a small bump on my hand from an allergic reaction that was scratched and broke the skin... after that the tiny spot became infected and it was obvious when I went in with a highly swollen and painful thumb that I couldn't even bend and had black sprouting out under the skin around it. She didnt run any blood work or even touch it and just said heres a RX for an antibiotic and itll clear right up... (all while basically laughing at me like I was stupid).. So I filled the RX and took them as instructed and things only got worse.. I waited til Saturday thinking maybe it gets worse before it gets better... ive never had an infection before and she didnt tell me anything about it.... Saturday morning I went to the Fastmed in Oakhollow shopping center off Skeet Club and the PA told me pretty much right away that I needed to leave there and go straight to the Emergency Room and suggested an MRI or at least XRays of my hand, IV antibiotics, blood work, and to see a hand surgeon. After being at the ER for all of 2 hours or so and blood tests and XRays later, it was quickly determined a hand surgeon had to be called in for my hand. I had to have emergency surgery that night, invasive enough to need me put to sleep to perform it... and the fact that I could have completely lost my thumb if I hadnt gone in that day infuriates me to no end considering had I been treated correctly and with respect, this infection probably could have been controlled and eliminated much less painfully. If anyone cares to see a time line of photo proof along with even screen caps of me complaining to my family about the poor treatment I received id be happy to share. If nothing else, I hope this reaches that PA and teaches her to take her patients seriously. And I am very thankful to the second Fastmed PA who basically saved my thumb and was extremely sweet. read more

I went in to Fastmed on West Market because I use the Fast med in Durham when Needed. My insurance has digital cards and they are on the United Health care app. The Durham location has always been more than happy to provide an email to send the digital copy. The front staff at this location was beyond rude and demeaning. They told me I was not in Durham and that this was Greensboro. Clearly, I understood my geographical location. When I used the zip pass online, I came in with my paper. The front assistant, laughed, and said "we don't even use that, I dont even know why they have that on the website." The staff was rude, lacked professionalism, and exhibited horrendous customer service. I will be contacting Agatha Marsh on Monday. read more

I see I am the first to review this location. My daughter had a bad rash and it was the weekend, so we opted to take her to fastmed thinking it would be a fast and inexpensive way to find out what it was. Wrong. There was literally only one other person in the waiting room and it still took at least thirty minutes to be seen. Then we weren't even see by a real doctor. It was some PA who couldn't even tell us what the rash was. We left without much answer only to get a $300 bill in the mail a few months later! Why in the world is an urgent care center charging $300 to see a little girl with a rash for a few minutes?? I won't be back and wouldn't suggest anyone else go unless it's a real emergency and want to avoid the emergency room. Heck, I think the emergency room would have been cheaper with our insurance. There was no indication of how much it would cost at fastmed. If I knew I'd have walked right out the door. read more

Hurting and in desperate need of help? While you may be inclined to stop by this place out of a sense of urgency, I would suggest you reconsider. This was the worst medical facility I have ever visited. Having broken 15 bones over the last 20 years, visiting urgent care locations are a common occurrence for me. I made the unfortunate and ill minded decision to visit this Urgent Care recently for a dislocated arm, I have had bad experiences when it comes to this company and seeing their reviews on Yelp has only confirmed my suspicions that all FastMed Urgent Cares are some of the worst possible locations to attend when in need of health services. To start the lobby was sloppy, when I pulled into the location I was under the impression that it was a run down out of business company because there was cardboard paper covering nearly all of the windows. I literally thought I was in the wrong place. When entering the lobby which was completely empty, I dragged myself up to the desk and waited for the desk clerk to check me in while she continued having a conversation with the male RNA. After waiting out their conversation about the sexual habits of another employee for about two to three minutes I finally asked if they could check me in. My response was an "Excuse me?" as if I had interupted their precious time on the clock gossiping about other employees. All I could think to myself was wow, and this company is paying these people to waste time. After a few more rude quirks from the desk clerk I was finally seen after waiting an hour in a completely EMPTY lobby, I was taken to be xrayed but the RNA taking the X Rays failed the first two pictures, then the X Ray machine broke down. After another 30 minutes of waiting for them to try and fix it the doctor finally came to see me, only to prescribe me a bottle of anti inflammatory Napraxom which had expired. They also said that because of the inconclusive machine they could not write me a doctors note as they had no idea what was wrong with me. I dragged myself out of that horror show and went to work. Worst experience with customer service I have ever had. Keep in mind I am a server for a living, I would not take the time out of my day to leave such a long review had my experience not truly been the worst of my entire life. DON'T GO HERE! read more
