Prior care was great,,,Last time was different... Made online appoinment and made very clear was on limited oxygen....Arrived fifteen minutes early,\and sat there in that frigid room, and waited and waited to be called...When finally called, I reminded them I was on limited oxygen...I sat and sat and sat in that office patient care waiting and waiting...They offered me no blankety to stay warm, no oxygen so I would have no concerns about low oxygen, and had me still there one hour after apointment time...I gave up and went home to suffer...There was no point in the so called urgent care making me worse than I was....I did go to First Health and they saw me almost immediately, and, had me taken care of in ten minutes!!!!! read more

The quality of care is HORRENDOUS. My wife waited over an hour to see a provider for an infected finger that the doc will simply throw antibiotics at. She didn't expect to take that long, and our newborn was needing to be fed. She alerted the clinic staff, with the provider sitting RIGHT THERE, and they did not care. I went to the front desk myself and they did not care either. She never even saw a provider because she needed to go feed our baby. Frankly, every worker in there appears to be a POS. ESPECIALLY a provider that does not take new mothers into consideration. I WILL be calling corporate and I hope the workers hear from them quite soon. read more

my husband is being seen there on Workmen's Comp. because a big piece of machinery fell on him at work and he has been working on and off with pain in his shoulder and his elbow from the injury. He went to have a follow up x-ray on his thumb and x-ray tech said he didn't need the x-ray. He just didn't wanna work and thought he did not hear her, made him feel really low , that was not her business and not her business period!!!!! read more

My visit today was for my 11 year old daughter. We walked in without an appointment but at this time appointments were required. Front desk receptionist Armani ( hope spelling is correct ) told me what I needed to do and was very thorough, very knowledgeable and her patience was amazing from start to finish. Through the whole process, from check-in to seeing the Nurse Angie (whom was also very knowledgeable, patient and made my daughter feel very comfortable) to seeing the MD for the exam and he was awesome as well. I'm very pleased with how smooth things ran during our visit this evening. I highly recommend this FastMed Urgent Care in Sanford NC. Thank you!! read more

There is nothing 'Fast' about this place. Paint drying on molasses is faster. I made a 0905am appointment for a State Corrections Officer physical and showed up on time. I even uploaded the documents and my ID the night before. Semper Peratis, baby. However, it meant nothing. I had to fill out the same forms and additional paperwork. As I type this, it's going on over 3 hours to see the doctor. I went to the desk to ask why the wait and a bald man at the desk rudely told me, 'Sir, I'll be seeing you shortly.' I sat in the room by myself for 1 hour and 26 mins, exactly. Understaffed for sure. Atmosphere of an inner city DMV. I'd never come in here on my own free will again. I'd rather crawl out into the woods like a wounded animal and die. I did give 2 stars only because the PA who e eventually saw me was really nice. PA Kendall I believe was her name. read more

This place really not fast at all. Had my appointment at 12:30, got here at 12:15 it's 12:50 and still not seen. The two women at the front were rude af! Kaila or whatever her name is made a comment "well we won't be able to see you" after a man told her that he couldn't make the 120$ Copay. Like in a professional space she didn't have to add that on. The place is not professional, and not welcoming. Not to mention there were multiple times ONE person was left to deal with the long line of people. Like a lot of the reviews say the wait time is pretty bad and making an appointment is required right now despite you still having to wait well beyond the scheduled time. I'm guessing this is more of a COVID/staffing problem overall. That being said everyone was nice and they helped me with my cold. Solid overall. read more

I visited this FASTMED URGENT CARE for the first time yesterday. I went in the morning as a walk in and even though they couldn't see me right away they made time in their busy day to see me before I had to go to work. Every one was very kind and helpful especially the doctor that saw me, Joshua Miller, PA-C. Joshua was very professional and made me feel incredibly comfortable. He even printed out information for me to take home on what I was being treated for so I could be fully informed on diagnosis. I truly appreciate as a person without insurance how he made sure I was informed about the cost of everything upfront as well so I didn't spend any extra money that I didn't need to. The only priority of the staff here was to make sure I got the help and treatment that I needed. Thank you again to their wonderful staff! read more

Do not come here!!! So I needed to take a TB test for college, and I called the day before to make an appointment the next morning. It does not matter if you have an appointment I arrived and checked in at 8:30, and waited an hour in the lobby, then waited another hour in the room. Basically a two hour wait even though I had an appointment. I needed to come back 24 to 48 hours for the results. When I came back it was even worse! I waited in line just to be checked in for 40 minutes, and there were only two people ahead of me. read more

The first time I visited this office it was great, they checked me in and saw me quickly. They did a couple tests and diagnosed me with a virus and told me to come back in 3-4 days if it was not better. I waited a week and was still not better so I returned. This time despite checking in online, I waited over an hour in the waiting room and an additional 1.5 hours in the exam room. By the time someone came in and saw me it was past closing time and I was starting to worry they had forgotten me and were closing the office with me still inside! The nurse who saw me seemed confused that I'd come back and I had to show her my paperwork I'd been given saying to return if I didn't get better. She then said they probably print that paper for everyone and there was nothing she could do. I was sent away with no treatment after wasting the cost of a visit and over 3 hours of my time. read more

Rebecca was great to work with, and she really put us at ease as she went through her examination and walked us through the plan for my daughter's care. If I could have given zero stars I would have. The front desk employee was great. The nurse, so so. She did an awful throat culture. My son said he didn't even realize she had done anything. At least she was polite. The PA was a few four letter words. After entering he asked a few questions and said well I didn't need a throat swab to know you don't have strep. He said a few things and I wasn't listening. I did start listening and asked him how he knew it was a virus. He said, "I just told you." Then he said, "you have had a cold before?" Then he states, you don't have a fever so it's a virus. And because you cough, it's a virus. He made a show out of giving me a piece of paper with the signs and treatments for pharyngitis and the common cold. He told me I should pin this with magnets on my frig so I'd know what I was looking for and how to treat the cold. Now I am a mom of three kids. My youngest is 15. I have a nursing degree and before my children were born, I did work in critical and emergency care as a registered nurse. This isn't a way you speak to anyone! You might be asking me, well as a nurse why did you ask this PA why it's not a virus? Well because I know that when you see a white patch on the tonsils it's not just pharyngitis. I saw a white patch below and to the right of the uvula. It wasn't mucus I was seeing because it looked like a flat cottage cheese curd and was matte in color. Even with this I still don't know if he has strep and will not swear he does BUT I would NEVER speak to someone the way I was spoken to! I will be unconscious before I will head back to this FastMed again. I will update tomorrow as we are going to an actual doctor. read more

I have used this urgent care a few times over the years and have always received great courteous care. I was seen on 11/22 and was treated for pneumonia. I returned today because I was not feeling better, my chest hurt and I had some shortness of breath. My online check in was for 5:05PM. I arrived at 4:45, completed checking in with the receptionist and sat in the lobby. I was called to the back around 5:20 and placed in a room. I sat in that room until 6:30. During this time, no one came to check on me or let me know why there was a delay. I could hear the provider moving room to room and patients leaving and more being brought back. SureIy my chart was misplaced. I opened the door once to go to the restroom and I made a joke about should I order dinner? The nurses laughed but offered no reassurance as to how much longer. Finally, I walked out of the room and told The nurse that I had been in the room over an hour and I was leaving. The provider, was sitting beside her and did not even look up. No apologies, it was like they were saying whatever, one less person to see. Great follow up care! read more

would not recommend got a cut on my head when in they put 10 staples charge me 200 bucks which was fine but they told me to come back in 10 days and they would remove the staples for free the 10th day sale on Labor Day so I went in on the 11th day which was Tuesday they said I had to have an appointment so I made an appointment for Wednesday when I went back on Wednesday for my appointment they told me that it had been more than 10 days so they had to charge me 200 more dollars like I said wouldn't recommend to anyone read more

I visited this FastMed Urgent Care for the first time the other day. I gave them a call early in the morning to check availability for that afternoon. The woman assisting me on the phone helped me to find availability that worked best for my schedule. When I got there it was a bit busy because of everything going on but I got checked in with no problem. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The doctor I saw, Josh Miller, PA-C, was informative, kind, and professional. He made sure that everything was well explained and gave some printed sheets to go home with all the information I would need. I would go back to this care facility in the future and I recommend it to anybody else in need of care. read more

Live on the west coast. I was visiting my youngest daughter. Was seen here at this location November 2016. The staff is caring,friendly and took care of me and made sure I had the medicine and care quickly I must say as well. So I could get well and return home. Very clean and everyone was nice and caring. If I visit and get sick again. I definitely would only return to this facility. read more

I am an active duty Navy veteran of 15 years and my daughters are currently in North Carolina on vacation. One of my daughters injured her thumb and needed to see the doctor. When we were asked for my daughters SSN we refused to give it to the lady on the phone and explained to her that she just needs a benefit number not her SSN. Amy was very rude to my wife on the phone and refused to see our daughter because we did not give her the SSN. Tricare specifically tells US Armed Forces personnel not to give out their SSN and to just give them the benefits number. So since Amy didn't get her social she refused us service. She didn't even try to run the benefits number! So needless to say we will never come back to this urgent care again and we recommend no US servicemembers go there!! read more

My son was sick. We went in and filled out the paperwork after a hour of waiting they say it's going to be a 1 1/2 hours more that we could wait or leave and come back. We left. Went back waited over a hour and half more. Totally ridiculous. As much money as the make they should have enough on staff. To wait close to 4 hours to be seen is crazy. The staff is nice but they need to get it together. Someone sick should never have to wait that long. read more

HORRIBLE!!! Do NOT go here!!! First off the receptionist has the personality of a ROCK!!! Secondly we have Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield with only a $15.00 copayment. With the age of the internet this is easily verified. However, FastMed "policy" is to collect $100 from all blue cross and blue shield members!!! But since we don't have a deductible they were kind enough to reduce this to $50!!! When questioned the lady with the personality of a rock kept tossing this paper in my face saying it is "office policy". When I asked to read her office policy I was told NO!! SHADY much!! The office manager is just as lacking in personality and knowledge as the receptionist!! Now we go back to the provider... I have no personal knowledge of the provider because my husband was back there alone. However, he went in because he had an allergic reaction and his ankle was swollen to about 3X the normal size. He told me the provider was flustered and asked him what to do about it!!!! WHAT!!!!! I MEAN OK... Who went to school for this??? She didn't know what it was, couldn't figure it out, didn't know what meds to give for it... He told her exactly what happened and what the allergic reaction was from. IF he wanted to diagnose himself and write his own scripts wouldn't that be wonderful!! Would have saved the $50 they just bilked us for!!! End result, crappy service beginning to end!! Glad he wasn't dying and glad we have the $$ to pay the $50. I would NEVER want an elderly person with limited income to go to a place like this for an emergency!! Places like this should be shut down!! I have opened a case with Blue Cross and Blue Shield for investigation. There are too many resources these days to collect exorbitant fees for no good reason!! I tried to contact their billing department however was on hold for 11 minutes and then got a voicemail box saying to they were either closed or on another line and to leave a message and someone will call me back... OK!!! I'll wait!! I wish there was a way to give negative stars!!! read more

I am giving FastMed Urgent Care 5 stars because of the exceptionally pleasant staff I encountered there. Aimee at the front desk was extremely friendly & helpful and seemed happy to help me figure out some confusion I had regarding my insurance. The waiting period was not too long and once they took me back I was in and out in no time. The nurse and PA I saw were both very friendly and pleasant as well. This would be my first choice for an urgent care facility in Sanford. They accept insurance but also have a self pay program if you are uninsured or choose not to file through your insurance. read more

I was denied care because I wanted to use my insurance to pay for a Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) shot, which was covered 100% as preventive care. The first Time I was told that I would have to the pay in network price even though my insurance said that I would have no in network responsibilities. I then called my insurance to verify that I was right. I went back to explain and they then said that they did not file insurance for that, contrary to what they had said previously. read more

Despite it being a holiday weekend the staff including front desk woman, woman taking my vitals, and John Lane, PA were so helpful and friendly. I was nervous and upset about having to go to urgent care today. But the staff were patient with me, calmed my anxiety, and got me through the visit. I had only a short wait time and felt like was seen quickly. The facility was clean and check in process is super fast. I highly recommend this facility. read more

I brought my son her a few weeks ago and left feeling extremely annoyed and frustrated. He's only 3 months old and since we were from out of town I couldn't take him to the pediatric doctor because of his files and things like that. So they recommended the fast med. I told them about his symptoms and that they had lasted more than a week and my sons pediatric doctor told us if they lasted more than a week to go to another doctor since we would be on vacation. They checked his pulse and temp but didn't bother looking in his mouth, eyes, ears, the rash on his butt or anything!! The doctor ended up telling me they didn't deal with infants often and that ultimately he couldn't help me. He didn't give any advice on things to try or home remedies or anything! Very frustrated and will not be taking him back if we are back in town anytime soon. read more

Quick service and attending person was good and initially a student checked me. In addition to the doctor's charge ($270, my oop was $40) my insurance was billed $299 for a regular wrist brace (that would cost $30-40 at Walmart/CVS/Walgreens), the doctor only billed $270 to the insurance company. I ended up with a separate bill from another company for over $161. There was nothing special done to the brace, it wasn't custom for my arm and yet they charged more than the doctor charged my insurance. This is why insurance costs continue to rise and how the system is abused along with the patient! read more

We've been to this location multiple times in the past and have generally had a positive experience but today was AWFUL! Brought my daughter in for a simple sports physical - even signed up online. Arrived early only to be told it would be an hour and a half wait even though there were only 2 people in the waiting room. Over the hour and a half we waited, 3 people were called back and one of those jumped in front of us because they were a drug screen. Obviously the clinic is understaffed and the receptionist was very rude. Having read the responses to other negative reviews from FastMed leaders, I have to question how effective the customer service training they are providing to their staff really is. Claiming this is a patient centric clinic is stretching the truth if you're not willing to invest in staffing properly or in making certain that the person at the front desk can at least smile and not be snarky. Interestingly their older reviews are much more positive than their more recent reviews. Should have been a clue - now I know! read more

I took my 11 month old son here, who had a 103 temp. The receptionist greeted us. Fake, but polite nonetheless. I went to the urgent care because my military ID expired and they confiscated it last week at the gate (made my life h*ll). Upon discovery of my not having my military ID (but I did have my driver's license), she told me they couldn't see my son, even though I had my husband's social. She proceeded to refer me to the ER. "You're going to have to just go to the ER," she said. No one ever "just" goes to the ER. As everyone knows it's about a 6 hour ordeal (source: I'm an ER nurse) that I was not going to put my sick infant through (mind you, there was not a soul in THis office). She was very as-a-matter-of-fact, and couldn't care less. You know those places that can't wait to say, "no" because it's "policy?," well, this is one of those places. "We need that ID to submit for payment..." She and the nurse claimed that it was Tricare's requirement, and that it had nothing to do with them, so their hands were tied. I walked out the door, then came back in to use the bathroom, but before I did-I became tearful and let the two of them know how difficult this has all been and how upsetting it was that no one was willing to help my son because of some policy, which later turned out to be bologna (just another something to make my life difficult). Before I drove an hour to post (for my husband to meet us at the gate and take us to the doctor's; as if he's not busy enough) I called Tricare. They said it was not a requirement of theirs and that the SS# of the sponsor is sufficient. When I told them this, the nurse was compliant and agreeable, while the receptionist insisted on calling the manager. I told her I didn't care what she did and that if Tricare denied it, we would pay. She did have my address and driver's license after all. I pleaded with her to please have some compassion and common sense to know that I was actually covered (easily verified). What they should have done was say, "I'd be glad to help you. Let me call Tricare and see what we can do because I know you are covered and I want to help your sick son." I don't know what has happened to the customer service in this area, but I assure you that it is much better in other parts of the country as well as other parts of the state. I have dis-enrolled from prime and will be taking my son to a Pediatrician in Pinehurst. I'd rather pay out of pocket and drive 40 minutes than have to deal with Army health care and places like this ever again. * I'd also like to add that I overheard the doctor diagnosing my son at the desk, while speaking to the PA, before he even examined my son. He diagnosed him with an ear infection (despite the PA's findings that his ears were clear...), which he didn't/doesn't/ and has never had. The fever broke later that day and no other symptoms appeared. read more

Great experience with this clinic! I ended up here because my doctor couldn't fit me in today or yesterday for an appointment. I'm not sure if it helped but I appreciated that I was able to check-in online. The receptionist was friendly and processed my paperwork quickly. The nurse and PA that I saw were kind, professional, and answered all of my questions. I was in and out in just over an hour! Hope I won't have to be back if but if I am in need of an urgent care clinic I would definitely go back. read more

When I came here on Monday. It was quick and no problems. Today(wed) I come, just to get TB test looked at and to get a paper back. Been here almost a half hour. Only 2 other people were here.
