Some patients do not have access to employee plans and rely on Marketplace plans. Baylor Scott and White has decided to make a political based business decision based on recent Medicaid changes, while eliminating individual marketplace plans. For patients, we work to build our medical care teams within the BSW system, only now to be told our continuity of care matters not. Interestingly, the media is the one that has announced the end of these plans, yet the system has yet to inform the plan holders. I am sure that they will further change clinic and hospital insurance policy to not accept outside insurance plans. Sad to see a community care system which sends the message to the community "we want to care for you, but only if you are not on a marketplace plan or Medicaid". I used to be a proud customer/patient/client of Baylor, Scott and White but they have demonstrated a few times now, they care not about patients not Medicaid or marketplace associated.

The rooms are clean and they not only wash hands between patients but they also sanitize with sanitizer. It is a policy of theirs. I had a situation with no masks being used at a facility so I just searched on the internet and found an email / name of the second in charge. I let him know what was happening and this changed the next day (I had another appointment there). I like their policy to be your own advocate so if something in your gut is telling you something speak up! I kept fighting for my pain issues and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. That was 18 years ago. I still kept getting pain, and I found out I had a rare immune disorder. My doctor fought for me and I absolutely will always be thankful.

I had such a strong cough that I was vomitting and couldn't get through my daily duties because the cough was so severe. The staff really listened to my issues and were so compassionate. I am truly grateful for the very skilled Nurse Practitioner-- a nice young lady, blonde hair-- forgot her name. She gave me just what I needed to heal and after just 24 hours I am a new person. Having trouble breathing and got a inhaler which helps a great deal. My daughter had 104 temp that we were having a hard time getting under control.
