When we entered the lot, the lady gave us our pass, told us what aisle to go to, and radioed a shuttle driver to meet us at that aisle. The drive over to the airport takes a minute, or maybe two minutes tops. When we returned, the shuttle driver took us right to our car, instead of stopping at an aisle end. As we pulled up to pay, I saw something about a AAA discount, which saved us $1 per day. I'd definitely park here again. This lot is fast, convenient, and staffed by friendly people.

He told us to stay in the car until a driver came by. There was a van there, but not running, so we saw him come out and tru to start it. Must not have worked since about 5 minutes later another van finally came into the area and picked us up. Wehen we got back from the, I called to trip confirm the pickup and was told yes, someone would be there. We waited over 15 mins and then ai called again and was told a driver was on the way and it would be 5-7 minutes. Ten minutes later the van does get there. But in the meantime, two other Parking companies have had multiple vans come by picking up passengers several times. So, Next time, I'm willing to pay a couple $ more and go with one of the companies that have vans rotating more frequently.

Shuttles come around often and I haven't had to wait more then 10 minutes. The drivers are usually friendly and I've only had one time when the driver had an attitude. It wasn't with me but it was uncomfortable to watch. $10/ day so great value. Remember to use the same credit card to swipe in and out because you don't get a ticket. We booked to park at the Sleep Inn…read more Didn't know parking would be off site, in a nearby lot down a pothole filled narrow "street ".  The lot, also pothole filled, is enclosed by a high fence, out of sight of anyone, but had we known in advance that the parking was not at the Sleep Inn itself, we probably would not have chosen this location for parking. From the time we arrived at the Sleep Inn until we got to the airport was 1/2 hour, so plan accordingly. The airport is only 5" away, but we had to wait for the driver, then go to the off-site lot in the opposite direction, then to the airport. Both drivers put single piece of carry-on luggage into shuttle both ways.  Upon arrival back at our car, however, even tho we'd popped the trunk, he didn't put the suitcase into the trunk, but rather set it on the ground, by the car, in the rain. Fortunately both our outgoing and return flights were during daylight hours. Would not want to drive down that road, short tho it is, in the dark..

And you think you know a place, right? Anyway, I was enamored by this small ferry, which my family and I took today to get to a restaurant on the other side of the river. We pulled up and waited for the ferry to make its way across to us, and during that time, I looked up the Anderson Ferry's site to learn about its history. Did you know: * The ferry is more than 200 years old. * The first ferry was made of wood, and the paddlewheels turned as horses walked along a treadmill. * It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. * Depending on where you need to go, this ferry can be a good way to bypass traffic on the interstate. * It was once an important way for farmers to take their goods to market. There are no horses involved in the ferry nowadays. We were efficiently loaded in our cars onto the ferry, which can contain more cars that you would think. A ferry employee then went car to car for the $5 fee. You can also pay 50 cents if you want to ride along and traverse the river on foot or $1 to cross with a bike. The ferry is cash only. It took about five minutes or so to make it across, and disembarkment was also quick. It's clear that this ferry is a meaningful and important part of Northern Kentucky, which I'm happy that I now know about.

For an international airport...the whole post-customs situation is infuriating, also even if you don't have checked luggage. Having to RE-DO a security screening, which negates anything you may have bought in your originating airport that you can bring on a plane that time that now...you can't get through a new TSA check (liquids, my friends)...it boggles the mind and stretches logic. Still, I like it.

So be warned - DO NOT LOOSE YOUR TICKET. The only negative you can't easily walk out of the garage entrance (where you car comes in) because it is so secure there are gates. You have to walk down to the side of the building to exit through the small door. But I guess that's the price you pay for security! This is the garage I tell people to park in who have never been to OTR. It's easy to find and it's by everything so you can say it's by xxx and it can be easily found.

I find myself in OTR a lot, so this being near to most of the places I go and easy to get to off Vine and 12th makes this my parking lot of choice - the $5 cap on daytime parking and $2 nighttime cap certainly help too. GQP has a lot of safety features too, that I think are nice but possibly a bit excessive. It's impossible to get into unless you are parking your car or have your parking ticket with you to open the door (DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE YOUR PARKING TICKET!) The entrances have gates over them that open only for cars, and the doors require you to swipe your ticket in order to unlock them and get in. GQP, as it is now, is probably as good as it gets for a parking lot. I hate giving them a 5-star as I don't really get excited about a parking lot, but at the same time I think they deserve it for simply having made a proper parking garage.
