I knew I was in good hands though because the owner was well put together and there were two northern European cars up on the rack. I had already been to two National auto repair shops that refused to just put new brakes on because I've been grinding the rotors for two weeks..and I didn't want to pay 500 to 1000 for rotors. This guy installed new shoes (that I had to pick up myself at auto zone across the street) on the front and back for less than the major chains wanted just for the front, and he drove me home and picked me up to boot all within an hour and a half. I have to say I only giving them 3 stars instead of 5 because I don't want to have to wait all day the next time I need a repair...

I brought it to them on a busy day and the older man said he can probably get into it sometime that evening and call me with the issues. After four days there and numerous phone calls back and forth, and him bringing it to the Jeep dealership himself to help figure out the problem, he calls me back and says its been fixed. I go there expecting a $5,000 bill and end up paying $150.00 for "the labor" because he didnt have to change any parts, etc. Long story short -- a mechanic can easily steal $5k from you for labor and parts, etc, especially if you don't know much about cars (I don't, and he knew that). But this guy sat down, explained parts to me and explained what was wrong and how he fixed it. I walked out of there, never being more impressed about a mechanic in my life. I read online that there are places that can fix your cluster for alot less. After and internet search, I was surprised to find one locally that I didn't have to send my cluster to for repairs. I called and talked to the owner Billy. He asked what was wrong and the make and model of my vehicle. He then said he could fix it for $185, it would take about an hour and that he comes to Baton Rouge one a week. WHAT? No way that is true. I was shocked. I got on the BR call list. A few days later, Billy called to set up an appointment. I took my truck to the designated address in North BR. Billy was great. He removed my instrument cluster, took it a part and started working. 30 minutes later, I had a working cluster back in my truck! He gives a 5 year warranty on all clusters he repairs. I definitely recommend this place for instrument cluster repairs.
