I have been to fat bastard on many drunken occasions. But tonight was different and stands out because I received the best customer service that the world has to offer. Nay, that the universe has to offer. Virtuoso leadership from customer service representative Eileen (we love u sis) she literally could have sold me a piece of shit and I would have paid whatever price she told me to. Thank god, she gave us burritos, because I would've bought anything she offered me. Not only is she beautiful with that sparkling eyeshadow, but she made the best burrito that fat Bastard has ever made. She made it like it was nobody's business. I paid for a burrito, but she gave me an Oscar winning show. Not only was I impressed with her service, I was blown away by her genuine desire to improve the customer experience. While making my order, I asked for guac because some places charged extra for it. That was followed up by "you want what?" in a condescending tone. When I clarified why I asked, I was told "we don't do that here". Everyone I spoke to while making my order acted like I was an inconvenience to them. Later when I was asking for toppings, I felt like I was on an assembly line and there wasn't a second to spare. I will say, they were fast, but service should not be compromised for speed. I also heard the girl taking orders mention she had been there for 5 years. That credit is due when your service is good because of your experience. It's not an excuse to be rude and careless. Im not too aure why some hate the place. Its actually a pretty good burrito place here in Guelph. A lot of different burrito options for different price points. Burritos are big and there is a good selection of toppings including free guac, noodles and sauces! During the school year, they are usually open until 3am to accommodate hungry, drunk students. read more

We ordered a delivery from the Guelph location via Just Eat. Note that the delivery driver did their job, and this review has nothing to do with Just Eat. Our order: 1 butter chicken burrito "huge" (because why not?) 1 chips & guacamole Here's what we received: 1 burrito with chicken seasoned with a ramen package (seriously) 1 bag of ten(?) chips and a tiny little side of brown guacamole The restaurant even made me call them to discuss the order. When I called them to express my dissatisfaction, I was informed that I would receive a call back, but the call never came. Save yourself the hassle unless you're desperate to pay someone to make the same crap you'd make in a bachelor's kitchen; this doesn't even qualify as junk food. We wasted $32 on this crap, and we know well to never, ever, EVER, waste money on anything these idiots make. I can't imagine how anyone could find this tolerable, unless they'd stopped eating from dorm kitchens. Sad. read more

I heard that Fat Bastard in Waterloo is delicious so this location needs to learn some lessons from them. The guacamole in the container on the assembly line looked oxidized and not fresh. I was served burnt chips that I couldn't even eat, and the salsa tasted like marinara sauce. My burrito was okay. read more

I went to this place a while ago and had the tequila lime chicken burrito; it was decent. I like the meat here more than at Burrito Boyz but the sauces and the beans aren't as flavourful, which matters more to me than the meat because I like getting veggie burritos most of the time - but that's just personal preference. The service was fine. The Blairs Death Rain chips were good, in a "I-dare-you-to-eat-these spicy" way. It's not one of those places you get a craving for or are in a hurry to go back to. This is my favourite burrito place in Guelph. Big portions, fresh ingredients, nice people. My kids are always asking to come here too.

Oh my goodness!!! Every. Single. Time. I have never been here and not been completely satisfied!! Food is amazing, portion sizing is HUGE, the staff and owners are all so friendly and patient, and the atmosphere is just right. I will continue to eat here, far more often than is necessary! My whole family loves it! We have also gone to the Fat Bastards in Kitchener, Waterloo, Pickering, and Toronto, and the Guelph location is BY FAR our favourite!!! So I have mixed feelings about this place. There have been several times that I've gone and the food was great, but more often than not I am disappointed. I don't mind spending $10 on a quesadilla when the person making it cares. The last time we went the guy rushed the quesadilla didn't put half of the ingredients I asked for on it and gave it to me with the cheese not even close to melted, a quesadilla should be warm not cold! read more

I've eaten here twice now, and both times were disappointing. The first time was because Salsateria was closed and I was downtown looking for a takeout burrito; the second time was because they deliver, and I was stuck in the house. The food was adequate the first time, and pretty gross the second time. My main complaints: the burrito was really salty; the beans were textureless - more like refried beans than beans; even though I ordered extra cheese I was half way through the burrito (and feeling bloated) before I found any measurable quantity of cheese; I never found any sour cream, even though the side of sour cream I ordered had apparently been added to the burrito; and somehow the whole thing was mushy despite pockets of undercooked rice. When I called to inquire about the missing side of sour cream instead of apologizing I was told that I was eating my tortilla chips wrong, and that if I wanted a "side" that I had ordered it wrong. I'm not sure how else you are supposed to order a side of sour cream... Unless I somehow have my wisdom teeth pulled again and need some bland textureless nutrition I doubt I'll eat here again. read more

I was happy to see Fat Bastard, because I have had great burritos and quesadillas from them in their Waterloo location many years ago. The food here is a little pricey compared to your Taco Bell, but they are worth it... only for the Waterloo location, it seems. I realized this Guelph location doesn't serve as amazing quesadillas as back in the Waterloo location. My BBQ pulled pork quesadilla was lukewarm, and the ingredients were not very fresh, and they seemed a little stingy stuffing my quesadilla as well. Even the food preparation area didn't seem clean and tidy... there were bits of cilantro in the jalapeño box, bits of cheese spattered all over, etc., I only tried the quesadilla from here before writing this review, so I might try their burrito or taco with my fingers crossed for a more complete review. It's unfortunate that the Fat Bastard franchises don't make their food with consistency. read more
