Pastrami Ruben on rye and the meatball sub. The pricing is on par maybe a little under of brand sandwich shops. The ingredients tasted way fresher and the meat was full. They had 1/4lb 1/2 lb and 1lb meat options, which I liked to have that option. The meatballs on the sub were super flavorful! Could eat them on spaghetti, I'm thinking homemade? Great family owned local business! Stopped in Fat Subs for the first time since they have a dog friendly patio. Ordered a Philly and the Friday sammie Hot pastrami on Rosemary bread with side of macaroni salad and a small root beer. Meat is sliced fresh, select your choice of fresh toppings. What I love most about this shop was their willingness to customize your sandwich for you. I couldn't tell you for sure, but I'm pretty positive it is family owned and not just a cut and paste sandwich shop. They did offer gluten-free bread, which is a big win for my family. We were staying in Havasu for a week and we stopped by two or three times which says a lot. Definitely worth your stop if you're craving a good, deli sandwich. Very generous portions of meat! We chose their jalapeño and cheddar bread...soft and flavorful not dry! We picked out chips...Miss Vickie's Smokehouse BBQ (very good!) and we wanted to try a different brand of chips Dirty Deli Style Potato Chips (Funky Fusion) flavored....what a neat tasting chip! Went perfect with our sandwich! I also bought a brownie that they were offering and tried it when I got home....wonderful brownie! First time trying out Fat Subs and I was very happy to learn they are family owned and not a chain. My husband and I shared a 12" 1lb Fat Sub. It was delicious! I like how you choose the condiments you want (no extra charge) and type of bread. The amount of ingredients was definitely a full meal for just a 6" sub. Everything tasted great. Love their chicken/tuna salad sub! They add the veggies into the salad before putting it in the sub. My wife says that it is "the best tuna salad sandwich she has ever had."
