Great family owned local business! Stopped in Fat Subs for the first time since they have a dog friendly patio. Ordered a Philly and the Friday sammie Hot pastrami on Rosemary bread with side of macaroni salad and a small root beer. Meat is sliced fresh, select your choice of fresh toppings. What I love most about this shop was their willingness to customize your sandwich for you. I couldn't tell you for sure, but I'm pretty positive it is family owned and not just a cut and paste sandwich shop. They did offer gluten-free bread, which is a big win for my family. We were staying in Havasu for a week and we stopped by two or three times which says a lot. Definitely worth your stop if you're craving a good, deli sandwich. The fact that we ate the sandwiches before I could remember to take any pictures of them says a lot too. Lol. Plus, the name is great. read more

Stopped for lunch after reading the reviews. We were not disappointed! I ordered the Philly cheesecake sandwich on the Italian Crusted Roll my husband got the big club made into a salad. We picked out chips...Miss Vickie's Smokehouse BBQ (very good!) and we wanted to try a different brand of chips Dirty Deli Style Potato Chips (Funky Fusion) flavored....what a neat tasting chip! Okay, it's not hard to make a sandwich. But it's not easy to make a REALLY good sandwich that lets you forget that you're not eating a meal. Meal-schmeal: who cares. To be fair, I judge any restaurant by how they do what I love to eat. And in a sandwich, I love pastrami. Hard to find in Havasu. But Fat Sub has some of the best pastrami I've ever eaten. WOW is all I can say! My husband and I were leaving Havasu on monday morning and craving subs... I looked up spots saw this place! The service was BEYOND AMAZING. The man and women were so sweet and made sure everything was perfect for our drive back to SD. The subs are so amazing fresh meats! We got the london bridge and italian sub! Went at opening and the Italian herb bread was not ready. The bread that was, was very dense. I wasn't happy with it. Workers/owners were annoyed and not ready for customers as they had a huge call in order to finish and made us wait until they were done. Chips in the bag were crushed! Won't be back. First time trying out Fat Subs and I was very happy to learn they are family owned and not a chain. My husband and I shared a 12" 1lb Fat Sub. It was delicious! I like how you choose the condiments you want (no extra charge) and type of bread. The amount of ingredients was definitely a full meal for just a 6" sub. Everything tasted great. Love their chicken/tuna salad sub! They add the veggies into the salad before putting it in the sub. My wife says that it is "the best tuna salad sandwich she has ever had." And she's the foodie between us. Service is nice and friendly, and the setting is chill with a nice outdoor patio that peeks into the lake. read more

Not my first choice but other places were busy or weren't answering their phones. Still my fat sub today was pretty tasty. Nice meat/cheese toppings and appropriate condiments. Only real problem was that bread was crumbly and might have been frozen. read more

Maybe a little underprepared for the impending holiday weekend, but this is a go-to spot for sandwiches on the river. They were a bit limited on bread options, only 3 out of the normal 6-7 varieties. That however doesn't stop the sandwiches from being excellent all by themselves. Fresh sliced meats and fresh veggies galore. Options for the kinda hungry all the way up to the ravenous beast. Quick, friendly service and veteran friendly make this one of my favorite sandwich shops in LHC. read more

My husband received an orange juice and water early on, but once those were gone, neither drink was ever refilled. Meanwhile, every surrounding table received attentive service--drink refills, condiments, check-ins, and everything they needed while waiting for their meals. We were there for about an hour and never received food. Not once did anyone apologize for the delay, acknowledge that we had been waiting, or offer any explanation. I listened to her laugh with other tables, calling them by name, apologizing for the wait. It was so uncomfortable. I felt extremely awkward. What made this especially upsetting was how singled out we felt. It genuinely seemed as though we were being intentionally avoided while everyone else was treated normally. The spicy sausage was greasy chorizo, not sausage. It left the plate reddish yellow. I Shouldn't have ate it as I have a bad taste in my mouth and my stomach is churning. I only ate it because they bought me an omelet with cheese so I had to send it back and all I had was that until they made me one with no cheese as requested. I told her 3 times meat omelet no cheese.. the ticket didn't say no cheese so it wasn't the kitchens fault. Dont get the home made sausage patties.

Was looking for lunch while visiting and stumbled upon this place…read more.. Hostess seated us quickly and drink orders were taken. Ordered a bbq bacon burger and subbed the fries for onion rings. Coworker ordered a salad and wings... First off the burger was fantastic! Super juicy, nice thick crispy bacon, and cooked perfectly! The onion rings were perfectly crispy and had a nice crunch! Awesome! The wings, while big had an off taste to them. Would probably skip them. The salad my coworker said was ok. Overall a great place and will definitely be back! Good food and great service! A must stop!

I even accidentally spilled a bit of my wine, and within a minute the manager came over and made a light comment about it and then quickly cleaned it up. The server then responded and brought me a second glass in just a minute or two later. They were very attentive, and responsive. Only negative, they weren't playing the Dodger game on any of the TVs! But I didn't ask them to change it. They probably would have if I had asked.
