I went to Orthopaedic Associates a few months ago because of an ongoing hamstring injury and was…read moreseen by Amanda Pacillas, NP. During that appointment, Amanda told me she would get orders placed for both physical therapy and an MRI. I waited, but I never heard anything about either the physical therapy or the MRI. Neither happened. At the time, I let it go because I was hoping my hamstring would eventually get better on its own. Unfortunately, it didn't. It actually got worse. I recently called the office and asked about getting the MRI that I had originally been told would be ordered. Amanda's assistant told me I would have to come back into the office because too much time had passed and that insurance would need documentation that my condition had gotten worse. That didn't make sense to me. My question was simple: Why should I have to come back for another appointment to get an MRI that was supposed to have been ordered after my original appointment? I explained that I'm still having the same hamstring problem and that it has actually gotten worse. I asked whether this could be handled over the phone rather than requiring me to come back into the office. At that point, Amanda got on the phone herself and told me that it could not be done over the phone. Her tone immediately came across to me as flippant and dismissive. Rather than explaining why another office visit was necessary or addressing the fact that the MRI and physical therapy were supposed to have been ordered previously, she simply asked me, "Do you want to set up the appointment now or not?" I told her I would need to call back to schedule it. Frankly, her tone and attitude during the conversation made me question whether I even wanted to see her again. She responded, "Okay," and hung up. I understand that there can be insurance requirements and circumstances where a provider may determine that another examination is necessary. But medical orders can be handled by phone or telehealth in appropriate situations, so I don't think it was unreasonable to ask why I needed another in-person appointment--especially when the MRI was supposed to have been ordered during my original visit. If there was a specific insurance or clinical reason that required me to come back, I would have appreciated having that explained to me. What bothers me most is the lack of follow-through. I came in for a hamstring injury, was told I would receive orders for physical therapy and an MRI, and neither happened. Months later, when the injury had gotten worse and I called trying to get the MRI taken care of, I felt that my concerns about what happened the first time were dismissed rather than addressed. Amanda was actually very nice during my original appointment, which makes the experience afterward even more disappointing. Between the lack of follow-through and the way I was treated on the phone, I no longer have confidence that my injury and concerns would receive the attention they deserve if I returned to see her. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Amanda Pacillas. I hope the physicians and management at Orthopaedic Associates take concerns like this seriously. Patients should be able to expect that when they are told something will be ordered, it will actually be followed through on--and if something goes wrong, they should be treated respectfully when they call to get it resolved.

Everyone was very warm and welcoming. They all knew my long drive and made me feel comfortable right away . His office and facility was clean and filled with tons of eye exam machines. I was really impress with how smooth everything went and how his customer were all taking care of. Everyone seemed to received the same level of care and comfort . So it was finally time for my LASIK . I was getting little nervous and excited at the same time . They have a relaxing room that was very zen and smoothing to be in. The procedure it self was under 5 minutes at most . We spend more time making me feel comfortable and relax. I hope if your reading this , you will make the jump and receive the same experience that I had. It's only been about 8 hours and already I am seeing fantastic. If I could give zero stars I would!…read more I was referred here by my primary care physician because of a scratched cornea. I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment and was there for over THREE HOURS! When I first arrived there were three people already there who got called up before me, as they should. However, after that I watched a total of 14 people who got there after me go in before me!I waited a little over TWO HOURS before I went to the front and asked about my place in line because I needed to get back to work the receptionist assured me I was next, however, not even two minutes after asking, someone else from the other side of the room approached for similar reasons and was told the same thing. When I finally got called back into a room I had to wait there unattended for another 15 min before finally getting some photos of my eye taken. They then led me into another waiting room where I waited another 15 min to get other tests ran before returning me to the second waiting room. I was left there by myself for another 20 min before they led me to a small room and said the doctor would be in shortly. I then waited another 20 minutes before going back up to the front desk and asking if they forgot about me. They did. I feel bad because by this point I was pretty irritated and asked the receptionist why they made appointments when they weren't going to honor hem but it wasn't her fault. If you took off work early thinking you would be gone an hour and a half tops to make it back round trip and it ended up taking 4.5 wouldn't you be upset though? They finally got the doctor to see me and he spent a total of maybe five minutes before prescribing me an eye drop and sending me on my merry way. Needless to say I will NOT be back! Oh, and on top of all of this there was shit on the bathroom floor as well. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment somewhere more time efficient and clean who actually care about their clients instead of the money they're going to bill their insurance!
