I reminded them twice that the new drain needed a trap. First they said it did not need one since it was tied to old lines with existing traps, but I knew there was no trap downstream. Then they reworked the location of the drain and again failed to install a trap but left it uncovered. Bathroom smelled like a sewer. Originally the owner Brenden Sykes said he would be here every day with his crew. In reality one guy worked short days alone and made little progress and often left debris all over the floor. Took two separate days to remove old particle board underlayment from a 100 sq ft bathroom. I cleaned up the mess and even pulled most of the ring shank nails myself after the guy left hoping to speed up the work. They spent hours one day sawing with a multi tool. My heart sunk when I saw that they spent all that time cutting a section from an 8" joist. They said the joist is unnecessary because there is another one very close and the cut joist could be tied into that one and to the 2x4s on the other side of it. They didn't do that, though. To relocate a register outside of the shower, the plan was to cut back the existing rectangular duct, add an elbow and use the cut off duct to run it under the bathtub. Instead they squished a flimsy flexible aluminum foil duct that is made to vent exhaust fans through the attic. This is what they cut the 8" joist for. I had let them know in the beginning that more room for the ductwork could be gained by using ceiling space in the laundry area below the bathtub.

Just make sure you read the fine print on contract. Also, make sure they sub out plumbing and heating and air conditioning. The duct work was ALL installed incorrectly and washing machine was installed incorrectly. They were not willing to work with us at all concerning these problems. Our cost was over $1500.00 more to correct these problems.

Sliding glass door was installed crooked and water is leaking from under the track and from the weep holes inside of the house. Caulk has detached and or is missing from multiple windows. Installer became irate over wearing a mask and tried to blame everything but their work for damage and improper installation after they had aknoweldged the issues and admitted to causing some of said issues themself. WARNING: If you have already hired and paid these guys, keep your paperwork, document their work and interactions, make sure that they give you a proper itemized list of what you paid for.
