He seemed very open to discussing concepts for my bathroom remodel and making recommendations or suggestions. The owner was very upfront about the fact that their jobs had them booked out over 8 weeks away. My opinion is they must be doing something right if they have that much business. He was open to recommending a plumber since I did not want to wait over 8 weeks to get the plumbing side of the work done. Definitely the type of people I like to do business with.

We promptly received a receipt of payment from Duration Construction. The contract was for the replacement of the following: Clay tile roofing Asphalt shingle vertical siding Wooden tongue-and-groove soffit paneling Aluminum fascia Aluminum gutters Aluminum downspouts The scope of work specified that: The clay tile roofing would be replaced with underlayment and standing seam steel metal roofing. The asphalt shingle vertical siding would be replaced with standing seam steel metal siding. The wooden tongue-and-groove soffit paneling would be replaced with vented aluminum soffit panels. The aluminum fascia, gutters, and downspouts would be replaced with new aluminum components. After paying the deposit, Duration Construction made no effort to contact me or schedule the work. Multiple attempts to contact Duration Construction were made in November 2024, December 2024, and January 2025 to inquire about the status of the project. Work eventually began in February 2025 and resulted in partial completion. Duration Construction then left the job without notice, leaving behind uninstalled materials, debris, removed materials, and company equipment. Attempts to contact Duration Construction resumed in March, May, and June 2025. An email sent August 2025 resulted in a phone conversation. 08/11/25 is when I last spoke with a representative of Duration Construction. During that conversation, I was told my project was a "high priority" and that work would resume "in a couple of weeks." As of 09/11/2025, no one has returned to the site to resume work, nor has anyone contacted me with updates. All of the times I was able to reach a representative, I received only a series of excuses and apologies regarding the status of my project. The last proactive communication from Duration occurred in August 2024, when they encouraged me to make the initial payment

In fact a large amount was spilled on our deck and they attempted to cover the evidence with leaves. I overheard the crew talking about it! The owner sent out members of the same crew to attempt to remedy after we complained - he was not proactive at all. The crew cleaned some of the windows not all. But the deck is ruined. Owner was to have crew come back again but we have yet to hear anything. I would not recommend this firm to anyone.

Two days later we are informed that our claim was denied since the dishwasher stopped working a year ago -- totally false. Even when talking to representative at SHW and explaining "Why" would I wait a year when my dishwasher wasn't working -- they kept stating "the technician stated that the dishwasher stopped working a year ago". I can't imagine how something like this could be confused by technician and putting myself out of any warranty work being covered. Just terrible experience and I would be hesitant to use this company for services.

My Experience with Upper Deck Roofing - A Cautionary Review…read more In April 2025, I hired Upper Deck Roofing after positive reviews and confirming they were a preferred Owens Corning contractor. I paid my deposit on 4/2. Shortly after they raised the price due to a measurement error, which I accepted. The first roof install occurred on 4/24--but I immediately noticed problems. They had improperly reinstalled my TruGuard gutter system by nailing it directly through the new shingles. Initially, Jake Calvert (owner) denied it. Only after I showed video proof did they acknowledge it. Owens Corning and TruGuard later confirmed in writing this method was improper and damaging. I was told it voided warranty coverage. Jake shifted blame, claiming a vague email was warning enough. A rep from their team admitted they should've told me to have the guards removed. After legal pressure, & refusing to sign a doc waiving consumer rights, a second full roof tear-off and new system install occurred on 5/28. The final roof looks good--but getting there involved months of denial, pressure, and emotional stress. This process cost me peace of mind, time off work, and trust. I'm sharing so others go in with eyes wide open. Video available. Proceed with caution.
